History
Reconstructing the Johannine Community (Church) was a series of four instructional essays, originally written between 1999 and 2001. They were specifically prepared for the School of the Zaqenim (Elders) of the Chavurat Bekorot (Holy Order) which has the responsibility for the training of the New Covenant Melchizedek Priesthood.
Newly Written
In 2024 the original four essays were made into sermons and considerably expanded to incorporate much new revelation received in the interim. They were also cosmetically altered to reflect messianic terminoloy and crosslinked to the many new subsites, articles and sermons which have appeared since 2001 which saw the original website double in size.
Key Teachings
The teachings of the original first four essays were considered radical at the turn of the 21st century, containing as they do the deep truths known by John, the youngtest and last of the apostles, and brought by him to the congregations in Asia Minor for which he had pastoral responsibility. Those who would succeed to the various bishoprics of the Messianic Community after John's death, visited him in Ephesus in his old age and received instruction at his feet for the conduct of the next generation of believers. Clement and Polycarp were two of his illustrious students.
End-Time Preparation
For Messianic Evangelicals a quarter of a century later, these 'hot potato' teachings have become mainstream. A whole new generation has arisen in the Body of Christ who are beginning to embrace these deeper Johannine truths that will become so important for the final part of the Last Exodus and Final Gathering. This final generation, most of whom will greet our returning Master and be resurrected without tasting death, must be trained not only in the fullness of Gospel truth so that a pure message is preached to the world and to the gathered assemblies, but must also be prepared to assume leadership positions over the nations in the Millennial world once our Messiah returns with the New Jerusalem. These will be the apostles and elders sent out as theocratic regents over the nations, to both rule and instruct them in the Ways of Holiness and to establish justice throughout the world.
Creating the Garden-City
These updated and expanded essays follow on seamlessly from the important Book of Revelation Course of Study (2021-24) which was created with the last generation in mind. The bringing together of the 'Garden' and 'City' (Eden-Astara) aspects of the theocratic Millennial Life of the Holy City constitute the major work of this ministry from 2024 onwards.
