Are you an atheist? I once considered myself to be one. Is there such a thing as atheism? And is it a rational philosophy? What is Yahweh's view of those professing not to believe in Elohim (God)? We shall attempt to answer these and other questions on this page.

If you are an atheist/humanist, then I have a short book for you to read. It was written by a philosopher at the end of his life about 3,000 years ago in which he examines the humanist lifestyle, having experienced it fully for himself. Except for a couple of sentences at the end of his book, and one or two brief references elsewhere, he doesn't even discuss religion - his whole treatise is one of rational, scientific observation. If that appeals to you, then I'd like to invite you to read that now - I think, no matter what you believe or don't believe, that you'll be able to identify with it. All it asks is that you open your eyes wide, look around you, and use some common sense. Enjoy!

THE GOLDEN QUESTION FOR ALL ATHEISTS:
How did Nothing make Everything?
Their Answer: 'Evolution' (aka The Cosmic Fairy Godmother)
"Atheism may be defined as the belief that there was nothing and nothing happened to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no reason, creating everything, and then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself into self-replicting bits which then turned into dinosaurs. Makes perfect sense" (Anon).
If God is a figment of man's imagination, atheists should be able to laugh the whole stupidity off and move on, instead of being angry at Him and at Christians. But they can't because in their deepest part - their spirit, which they deny exists - they know He exists, but resent that because they can't then do whatever they want to do, and can't invent their own 'truth' and remain unaccountable. How else can they explain the illogic of their rage? They are trapped by their own Design and must either surrender or hate Him, themselves and everything else in the Cosmos, just like Karl Marx did. It's a terrible state to be in because it is a radical, self-destructive and sometimes murderous denial of reality.

Atheism is not a common ground for all religions, ways, philosophies and world-views -- it is a distinct world-view and religion of itself, that is in disharmony with all other paths.

Most atheists, when attacking religion, demand that if God exists that He should eradicate suffering from the world. This is one of the main reasons they reject Him. Nonetheless, 'No pain, no gain' is a fact of life that most atheists overlook. Everything worth something is attained through a certain degree of suffering and pain. If this life is not all there is, then whatever suffering we experience here is simply a means to a wonderful end.
The fire that tempers steel, tempers my soul for glory, an idea that makes more sense than what atheists are offering since they are not able to eradicate suffering anyhow. In political systems where they have obtained complete control they have created even more misery. Atheists reduce themselves to a meaningless accident, the result of a cosmic hiccup fourteen billion years ago. Life to them is inherently pointless and irrelevant, nothing more than random chemical reactions. It takes more faith to believe that than to believe in a God, any day.

Suppose there was no intelligence behind the universe, no creative mind. In that case, nobody designed my brain for the purpose of thinking. It is merely that when the atoms inside my skull happen for physical or chemical reasons to arrange themselves in a certain way, this gives me, as a by-product, the sensation I call 'thought'. But if so, how can I trust my own thinking to be true? It's like upsetting a glass of milk and hoping that the way the splash arranges itself will give you a map of London. But if I can't trust my own thinking, of course I can't trust the arguments leading to atheism; therefore I have no reason to be an atheist, or anything else. Unless I believe in God, I can't believe in thought, so I can never use thought to disbelieve in God - C.S. Lewis in The Case for Christianity

10 STEP LOGICAL DEFENSE OF THEISM
1. Some things undeniably exist.
2. My nonexistence is possible.
3. Whatever has the possibility not to exist is currently caused to exist by another.
4. There cannot be an infinite regress of current causes of existence.
5. Therefore, a first uncaused cause of my current existence exists.
6. The uncaused cause must be infinite, unchanging, all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-perfect.
7. This infinitely perfect being is appropriately called 'God'.
8. Therefore, God exists.
9. This God who exists is identical to the God described in the Christian Scriptures.
10. Therefore the God described in the Bible exists.
(Adapted from philosopher Normal Geisler's books, Christian Apologetics (Grand Rapids, Michigan: 1976) and Philosophy of Religion (Grand Rapids, Michigan: 1988) - these books are well worth owning).

FAMOUS ATHEISTS?
"Jean Paul Sartre was a militant atheist most of his life. In fact he and his lover, Simone de Beauvoir, became two of the 20th century's foremost atheists. Though de Beauvoir remained an atheist until the very end, Sartre appears to have come to the realization that he had been wrong -- to the shock and dismay of all his followers and admirers.
"The one who revealed Sartre’s astonishing change was his friend and ex-Maoist, Pierre Victor (A.k.a. Benny Levy), who spent much of his time with the dying Sartre and interviewed him on several of his views. According to Victor, Sartre had a drastic change of mind about the existence of God and started gravitating toward Messianic Judaism. This is Sartre’s before-death profession, according to Pierre Victor: “I do not feel that I am the product of chance, a speck of dust in the universe, but someone who was expected, prepared, prefigured. In short, a being whom only a Creator could put here; and this idea of a creating hand refers to God” (National Review, June 11, 1982, p. 677. Cited in McDowell, J. Stewart, D. Handbook of Today’s Religions – Existentialism)
Charles Darwin: "In my most extreme fluctuations I have never been an atheist in the sense of denying the existence of God" (Francis Darwin, The Life of Charles Darwin, London: Tiger Books, 1995, p.55)
Albert Einstein: "If one purges the Judaism of the Prophets and Christianity, as Jesus Christ taught it of all subsequent additions, especially those of the priests, one is left with a teaching which is capable of curing all the social ills of humanity" (Albert Einstein, Christianity and Judaism In Seelig, Cal (Ed.) Albert Einstein: Ideas and Opinions, New York: Three Rivers Press, 1982, pp.184-185)

The Bible reveals reality |
Science alone explains reality |
Feelings and experience prove reality (existentialism) |

Yahweh (God) is personal (loves us) and greater
than His creation |
Religion is a crutch, an illusion, the opium of the people (atheism/fascism/ communism/liberalism) |
An impersonal universal god (pantheism = occultism)
makes all things one (monism = satanism) |

Teach personal responsibility (accountability to Truth who is Yah'shua the Messiah/ Jesus Christ and Torah) |
Teach human rights (you are your own truth = self-worship and self-accountability) |
Teach collective duties, responsibilities or obligations (the state is Truth = Totalitarianism = no accountability = dictatorship) |
Don't tolerate sin (but love sinners) |
Tolerate all lifestyles (moral anarchism) |
Don't tolerate dissenters (zero tolerance = persecution = prison, torture and murder) |

Trust Yahweh (God/Elohim) |
Trust self (self as god) |
Trust the state (state as god) |
* A cultural paradigm is a social awareness,
a worldview, a pattern or framework for understanding reality,
a point of view that determines how the general public evaluates
good and evil, right and wrong. A paradigm shift
means a cultural transformation, a total change in thinking,
seeing, and evaluating social issues.
