Rapture Raptors
No Escape for the Escapists

    Introduction

Shabbat shalom kol beit Yisra'el and may the grace and favour of our Master Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) be with us today.

    The Syrian Crisis

I know that many of you here and abroad are relieved that the United States has not gone to war with Syria and that Yahweh has heard the prayers of many but I think you are all informed enough to know that the globalists will not give up in trying to do so yet. They will certainly set up a false flag to give them a pretext for doing so no matter how much their credibility continues to crumble. As I predicted to some friends, Prime Minister Cameron wants the British Parliament to vote a second time until they vote right (they voted not to go to war the other day) - well, that's not exactly what he said, of course, but that's certainly the way the EU conducts itself over referendums to stay in or leave the EU, and Cameron is very much a child of the EU. He just phrased in differently, saying that 'new evidence' is going to be presented by the government that will change their minds. I have wanted to say more about this subject but I have been told by Yahweh to be careful not to get ahead of myself, to hold my tongue a while longer and to continue watching for now. That is my counsel to you too. He's in control.

    The Split Earth Vision

One or two of you have asked for clarification of the split earth vision I had a few days ago and all I can say at this stage is that Yahweh has not given me any more information on this beyond its obvious symbolic representation of the earth being divided. Whether this has a literal, physical component to it remains to be seen but given all the geological changes going on and what we expect from a close encounter with Nibiru or other large heavenly body, a literal splitting of the earth's crust is by no means beyond the realms of possibility and such splittings have long been going on all around the earth on a smaller scale. But I dare not get ahead of myself and speculate further. We will see.

Getting Too Far Ahead in the Autumn Festivals

Speaking of 'getting ahead' of oneself, I need to remind those messianics and others who are following us abroad in America and elsewhere that those preparing to celebrate the first of the autumn or fall festivals tommorow are a month too early and are going to miss some critical prophetic landmarks this year. One thing Yahweh has been telling me over and over again now in multiple visions is that the fifth annual festival of Tom Teruah (Trumpets), which on the biblical creation calendar is this year on 5 October and marks the beginning of the seventh month, is going to be very important indeed. Many things are coming to a head - it is going to be the cusp of a huge change. Those who are obedient, trusting and listening, should prepare for a blessing from Yahweh through the Ruach haChamashee, the fifth Ruach (Spirit) (Rev.1:4; 3:1; 4:5; 5:6)!

How We Should Be Conducting Ourselves at This Time

That said, I wish now to come to my main message which is the proper conduct of Yahweh's qodeshim (saints, set-apart ones) at this unique and dangerous time. I am grateful to Bradlee Dean [1] who reminds us once again of what 'end-timers - those consciously aware that we are in the end-times - are supposed to be doing and what we are not supposed to be doing. From many of my antinomian (lawless, anti-Torah) friends who have bought into the Scofield Lie I am hearing jubilant acclaims that they have nothing to be worried about because they're about to be 'raptured' out of their problems and difficulties even though such a teaching is nowhere to be found in the Scriptures.

    Some Rapture Doctrine History

For some of you who may not know the history of the rapture doctrine, it really did not come into existence until the beginning of the 19th century. Before then it was unheard of. And the first believers certainly never knew of it, let alone taught it. It can be traced to an unnamed English woman, one of the earliest charismatics who in 1830 went into a trance in an Irvingite church in London pastored by one Richard Baxter. Claiming the spirit of prophecy, she said that Yah'shua (Jesus) might come at any time and that true believers might any day be translated into heaven. This doctrine did not come about as the result of any careful Scripture exegesis but was the result of a pretended prophecy.

    The Irvingites

But what of the church this woman belonged to? What did it believe in? Formally organised in 1835 five years after the prophecy was uttered, its members came to be known colloquially as the 'Irvingites' though its proper name was the Catholic Apostolic Church. It didn't use the word 'Catholic' as the Roman Catholics do but in the sense the members believed they were a part of the 'Univeral Church' or 'Body of Christ'. Rather like the beginning of the Pentecostal Church in Azuza Street in America, the movement began with good intentions under the impetus of an Anglican Priest called James Haldane Stewart who started a prayer movement seeking for the kinds of New Testament spiritual gifts that manifested at 'Pentecost'. The movement took root in many countries, especially amongst the French and Bavarian Roman Catholics. You might say there were some parallels between 20th century Protestant and Roman Catholic charismatics whose 'spirit' and language was the same save the Catholics, when they had claimed revelation, spoke them in the name of the 'Virgin Mary'. The Irvingites, like modern Pentecostals and charismatics, laid emphasis on prophecy, speaking in tongues, and healing.

    The Story of Edward Irving

The movement is named after Edward Irving, a charismatic preacher of the Church of Scotland. In the late 1820's he had thousands of followers. The main theme of his preaching was that Christ was going to return any day. As followers of Irving gathered together and were excommunicated from their non-charismatic parent churches for practicing the 'spiritual gifts', so a new denomination coalesced. He moved his headquarters to London in 1831 followed by most of his original congregation. In time, six other men who claimed the 'apostolic gifts' joined the other six and were named apostles. Irving was ordained a Bishop and the denomination came into official existence on 14 July 1835. Eight of these 'apostles' came out of the Church of England, three from the Church of Scotland, and one was an independent.

    An Attempt to Unify Christendom

The new 'Universal Church' sent emmissaries to the Kings, Queens, Presidents and Emperors of England, Russia, Austria-Hungary, Prussia, France and to the Pope himself who declared that "the Christian Church was the body of all that had been baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, thus laying aside all divisions between nominal Christians, and that the apostolate had been restored for setting the whole body of Christianity in order to be ready for the Second Coming of Christ; therefore, they called upon all the clergy and lay authorities to recognise this and submit to their self-appointment as 'apostles'" [2]. You can well imagine for yourself the negative response they got.

An Era of Numerous Attempts at 'Restoration'

It was at this time, in the 1830's and 40's, that all kinds of new 'restoration' movements sprung into existence, like the Alexander Campbell's Church of Christ, Joseph Smith's Mormon Church and Ellen White's Seventh-Day Adventist Church in America all claiming to do the same thing as the Irvingites. In all of this one senses two competing spirits: an authentic one leading believers to break out of false man-made traditions, to search out the emet (truth) for themselves and restore long forgotten truths, and a false one seeking to confound and confuse with new unbliblical teachings. This was certainly the era that started off the frantic establishment of miriads of new denominations that today number over 34,000.

Beliefs and Structure of the Catholic Apostolic Church

The Irvingites had three priesthood grades - bishops, priests and deacons. The bishops, who were called 'angels', weren't allowed to marry but were to regard themselves as 'married' to their congregations, a clear influence of Roman Catholicism. Former ordinations to the old 'established' Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Lutheran, Presbyterian and Anglican priesthoods were recognised as valid. These Irvingites held to some very peculiar doctrines that I don't have time to go into today but amongst these was the belief that the '12 tribes' were the extant 12 divisions of Christendom. These divisions were based not on their geography but their supposed spiritual qualities. A number of countries outside of Europe were designated 'suburbs'. There were 48 core bishops of their 'episcopy', a number based on the 48 boards of wood of the Mosaic Tabernacle.

Forms of Worship & Membership Distribution

The pattern of worship borrowed elements from the Anglican, Roman, and Greek liturgies as well as some original ideas, which included lights, incense, vestments (robes), holy water, and chrism. Picture a modern Pentecostal group in an old established church setting and you can approximate the atmosphere that prevailed. Unlike modern Pentecostals, who practice adult baptism by full immersion, infant baptism was practiced by the Irvingites. By the beginning of the 20th century there were an estimated 200,000 members in 1,000 congregations worldwide, with the majority living in England.

    Divisions and Extinction

But the movement was not destined to last, at least not in its original form. The last Irvingite apostle died on 3 February 1901, the last 'angel' or bishop in 1960 in Germany, the last priest in 1971 in London, and the last deacon in Melbourne, Australia, in 1972. Aside from this clearly not being a full work of Elohim (God), given that it was but another schism of Rome, was that they stopped ordaining apostles after 1855 by which time only nine were left. However, another apostle was called in Germany in 1862 and this caused a schism, resulting in the excommunication of German 'angel' F.W.Schwarz. The Dutch also split off and this became what is known today as the New Apostolic Church [3] which some of you may be familiar with. I know that the family of one of the brethren in Germany, where the core leadership seems to come from, comes out of this tradition. These groups belong to a larger group of what are sometimes called 'chiliastic' churches, from the Greek meaning 'millennialist' on which they lay great stress. Bear in mind that there are many different kinds of millennialist teachings as summarised in the following diagram:

The Pre-Tribulation Rapture: Two Comings of Messiah?

The Irvingites, like nearly all Pentecostals, Charismatics, a good many Baptists, independents and others, believe in two comings of Yah'shua (Jesus) - the second model - the first one being 'invisible' at the time of the alleged 'rapture' when everyone is whisked into heaven in order to escape the Great Tribulation. Those amongst this company who believe the Millennium is going to be on earth then claim Yah'shua (Jesus) will return a second time - visibly on this occasion - with those who were originally translated, to live on the earth for a thousand years. This doctrine is commonly called the Pre-Tribulation Rapture.

Israel and the Failed Rapture Test

The Pre-Trib Rapture doctrine was put severely to the test when the nation of Israel was allegedly restored in the Middle East in 1948. When neither the Rapture nor the Second Comming took place at the expected time, both Zionist as well as the rapturist claims took a severe beating. Indeed, every prediction for the 'rapture' ever since has been an utter failure precisely because both the doctrine and the prophetic markers, which are based on false assumptions, are all wrong. (You can read more about this fiasco in my important series of sermons, Jacob's Trouble).

Did the First Believers Have a Rapture Doctrine?

The teaching of the first believers, as attested historically, is that Yah'shua (Jesus) comes only once and visibly, the believers pass through the Great Tribulation as through a Refiner's Fire to sift out the true from the false, and then the true believers are briefly caught up into the air to meet Yah'shua (Jesus) when He returns to be with Him for a thousand years (the Millennium) on the earth. This doctrine is commonly called the Post-Tribulation 'Rapture'. This is what we believe in.

    Post-Millennialism

I know of one contemporary messianic group, 'Nazarene Israel', under the leadership of Norman B. Willis who claims to be a modern-day apostle, which preaches the third model called Postmillennialism and basically teaches that Yah'shua (Jesus) doesn't return until the end of the Millennium.

    Amillennialism

Finally, there are those like the Amillennial (literally 'no millennium) Roman Catholics and Preterists who believe that the Millennium is purely symbolic and that we are actually living in it now. I think you know my feelings about such a ridiculous assertion - you only have to look at Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt and Syria to see what nonsense that is. Just read through the 20th chapter of Revelation to understand the plain emet (truth). Just two verses from this chapter is enough to demolish this doctrinal lie:

"He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while" (Rev.20:2-3, NKJV).

If the Amillennialists are right then the Book of Revelation is wrong because there is a tidal wave of deception in the nations.

    The Roots of Rapturism

Now this is the first time I have devoted any time speaking about this movement because I feel it is important that Pentecostals, Charismatics and those who generally believe in the rapture doctrine understand its roots. This was the milieu in which 'rapturism' was born. It did not exist before the 19th century!

John Darby & the Plymouth Brethren

But how did this rapture doctrine move out of the Irvingite sect and into mainstream Protestantism? We now move to a man I know may of you have heard of, namely, John Darby who, with a small group in Plymouth, England, started an independent Bible study from which was to develop the strict denomination known as the Plymouth Brethren which is still alive and kicking in England and in the world today. Although Darby and his group of Plymouth Brethren were not part of the Irvingite movement, they nevertheless accepted their 1830 prophecy as coming from Elohim (God) and so they incorporated it in their teaching.

    Opposition to Darbyism

Darby was one of the most influential preachers in England at that time. Like so many escapist Protestants today, the easy-way-out doctrine of the 'rapture' spellbound many English Christians and their converts from abroad. But the Prussian preacher George Müller (of the famous Müller orphanage in Bristol, England) and the esteemed London Baptist minister Charles Spurgeon, and many other famous preachers, opposed this new unbiblical teaching. Darby's mind was made-up, though, and he continued to teach this new doctrine. Later, Charles Scofield became a follower of Darby and closely associated himself with the Plymouth Brethren's teaching of the secret Rapture of the Church as well as another false teaching, namely, the 'eternal security teaching' better known as the 'Once Saved, Always Saved' doctrine. Thus two major heresies were spawned by the Plymouth Brethren, inspired as they were by the false Irvingite prophecy and its plainly false spirit.

    The Scofield Reference Bible

Darby's teaching spread widely throughout the Protestant section of Christendom like a virus thanks to an immensely popular Bible known as the Scofield Reference Bible. I have a copy here from 1917. What this is, is a King James Bible full of footnotes, cross-references, and commentaries made by Scofield himself. And there is no better way to promote a doctrine than to incorporate it into Bible footnotes! Who doesn't like explanatory footnotes? I personally love them!

My 1917 Edition of the Scofield Reference Bible

The Danger of Bible Footnotes & Commentaries

But there is always a double danger in such Bible editions. The first is in the translation itself which is always biased toward the beliefs of the translator(s) because every translation has an agenda, some open and some secret. No secret was made of the fact that the King James Version served the agenda of King James who wished to have biblical legitimisation for his claim to hold a 'divine right' to his kingship. But the KJV also promoted infant baptism and other Anglican Doctrines. Modern versions are no different which is why serious Bible students must study many translations (as the KJV translators themselves counselled) and, if at all possible, know some Hebrew and Greek.

    Interpreting the Bible

The second danger is in footnotes which interpret the Bible for us. That is not in itself necessarily a bad thing, especially if the interpretation is correct - obviously - but we are not called to repeat the error of the Israelites at Sinai in relying on intermediaries between us and Yahweh - in their case, Moses (Num.11:29). We are all called to commune with Him ourselves and receive the equipping of the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) so that we can understand the Davar Elohim (Word of God) through Divine Revelation (2 Pet.1:20). Ideally, when interpreter and reader are both under the true Ruach (Spirit), they will come to the same conclusion. But beware - if both are under false spirits they will both come to false conclusions. Usually the plain sense or p'shat of the Davar (Word) ends doctrinal disputation when honestly applied.

Mormons and Others Who Believe in Two Second Comings

So Rapturism spread thanks to Scofield's Reference Bible which I only came to know about because a Mormon friend of mine at Oxford spoke so highly of it. And the Mormons, as you may know, also believe in two second comings, the first one being a variation of Rapturism - they believe their 'Jesus' came invisibly to the world but visible to some of their members in one of their temples in Utah in the 19th century. The Jehovah's Witnesses have another twist on this for they have expected Yah'shua (Jesus) to return at different times. After He failed to materialise in 1914 they decided to declare the second coming was 'invisible' - so they have turned the false invisible Second Coming into the only one, made it an invisible parousia or 'presence', but discarded the notion of a 'rapture'. The Seventh-Day Adventists are no different for when their 'Jesus' failed to turn up at Miller's prophesied time, they invented a wholly new doctrine called the 'Investigative Judgment' to explain their error and save their reputation.

William Blackstone, Banksters and the Zionist Connection

But let is return to the propagation of the Rapture Doctrine to see how it infected the Body of Messiah so badly. Another man named William Blackstone (1841-1935) [4] wrote a book called Jesus Is Coming (1878). He summarised the Darby-Scofield teaching of the secret rapture of the Church, and with the help of some rich believers at that time, published this book and spread it widely to preachers and missionaries around the world, free of charge. He was also an active Zionist as nearly all rapturists are, and a strong supporter of socialist Theodor Herzl. I find it interesting that false doctrines seem to gather into 'flocks', don't they? And that is because of the 'spirits' that drive them, to corrupt, whether in the hands of the misinformed or those with malicious intent, the result is the same. The fact that Blackstone was involved with the likes of banksters John D. Rockefeller and J.P. Morgan (doubtelss naïvely and innocently, though who knows) likewise speaks volumes. Those of you who have ever read a Plain Truth Magazine published by the Worldwide Church of God or received free Watchtower literature from the Jehovah's Witnesses, know the power of free literature to influence the uncritical. And Blackstone's had a huge, apparently uncritical, audience who had been 'prepared' by Scofield's KJV.

    The Spread of Rapturism

Just as Müller and Spurgeon opposed Darby and Scofield, so Oswald Smith of Canada and Henry Frost (American secretary of the China Inland Mission), who were prominent men at that time, opposed this rapturist doctrine, but it was too late to reverse the widespread use of the book, Jesus Is Coming. Thereafter Protestant preachers divided into two opinions and doctrines with some believing in the escapist secret rapture of the saints prior to the Great Tribulation while others - like ourselves - who believe the Body of Messiah will go through the Great Tribulation, experiencing (if they survive) the appearing of the "man of sin" (2 Thes.2:3) and the Second Coming of our Master. Since the rapturists, who are pro-Zionist, have huge financial backing from Zionist and other organisations for publication and dissemination of this doctrine in general, it's easy to see how it has become the dominant teaching in Evangelical Christianity. The market is flooded with books on the 'Rapture', popularised by such as the late Jack Chick and his highly successful tract series.

We are Here for the Duration

You'd have thought that after so many failed rapture prophecies, the latest being that of Mr. Camping), that believers would have learned by now that false, unscriptural, escapist teachings are not pleasing to Elohim (God), and are a cancer to discipleship. The record of failed prophecies is appalling and those who make these false prophecies almost never apologise - they simply invent new 'postponment' rules as the Jews have done with their false calendar system. We're here for the duration and solutions to our problems aren't going to be given on a plate. We are to struggle and overcome the same way as all previous generations of followers of Messiah have. Yahweh's promises are given to the overcomers, not to the escapists:

"But hold fast what you have till I come. And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations" (Rev.2:25-26, NKJV).

The Promise of Power Over the Nations

Please note the promise at the end of that sentence: "to him I will give power over the nations" - in other words, he will not be overwhelmed! He will defeat the schemes of governments! That is a huge and vital promise. We are not spoiled, pampered 'teacher's pets' - indeed, believers in this age are amongst the most lukewarm, faithless, perverse, antinomian and degenerate ever - this generation more than any other, perhaps, needs the purging of the spiritual fire in tribulation! And believe me when I tell you, they are going to get it! We are neither so pure and wonderful, nor so helpless, that Yah'shua (Jesus) is going to whisk us into the heavens because we 'deserve better' or because we are 'defenceless' before the might of 'Antichrist' or because Yah'shua (Jesus) doesn't want a 'bloody Bride'. We have to get out of the secular liberal 'entitlement' mindset which has so corrupted Christianity in our day. What huge lies these are! The Bride has always been bloody because the Bride is guaranteed persecution [5]. We are not to try and escape persecution but meet it head-on in power and victoriously in Yah'shua (Jesus). Those who believe in in any other sort of 'Jesus' are believing in a false Messiah.

What Kind of Gospel Do You Believe In?

The instructions to the first believers are the same as to us. We know, as they did, that the "Besorah (Gospel) did not come to you in davar (word) only, but also in power, and in the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) and in much assurance" (1 Thess.1:5, NKJV). We know, as they did, that we are not helpless, because we have given ourselves to the Mighty One of Israel, and to its King, Yah'shua (Jesus). We know, as they did, that we have received "the Davar (Word) in much affliction, with simcha (joy) of the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit), so that [we] became examples" (1 Thess.1:6-7, NKJV).

The Example We are to Give

What kind of an example to a spiritually dying world in need of a powerful witness of salvation are those who, deceived by the devilish 'spirit of entitlement' of this Age, sit around on their posteriors, walled off in their homes or nuclear bunkers, doing nothing except waiting to be carried off in the sky? We are to continue, like the first believers, "without ceasing [our] work of emunah (faith), labour of ahavah (love), and patience of tiqveh (hope) in our Master Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) in the sight of our Elohim (God) and Father" (1 Thess.1:3, NKJV). Obama or no Obama, Illuminati or no Illuminati, Syrian war or no Syrian war, financial collapse or no financial collapse, Nibiru or no Nibiru, corrupt police and social services or no corrupt police and social services, we are to carry on as before, having of course made all necessary practical preparations as you have been prophetically warned to do, witnessing to the world not in a spirit of defeat but of victory. There is still so much to do!

    Is Character All That Matters?

Now maybe you, like myself, occasionally get the blues and throw up your hands into the air at all the wickedness and unbelief and are tempted to fall back on the half-truth that all that matters is that we endure for the sake of character-development. Now character-development is for sure one of the reasons we are down here but it's neither the main one nor is it the only one. We are principally here to bring glory to our Father through our emunah (faith), our obedience to His mitzvot (commandments) and our works of righteousness toward others. We are still called to be game-changers in the world even when it seems the world is being buried alive by a tsunami of lies and destruction, and believers are being persecuted, imprisoned and killed. But it need not be so, not because we necessarily want to save out skins, but Yahweh desires to be manifested though us in whatever way He wants. Many of us may be called to lay down our lives but equally others may be called to do mighty earth-shaking works and wonders in His Name as did Moses.

    Believe in Great Things

I have seen and experienced things most people will never believe, including believers, so I know this power of Elohim (God) is in the world. I have experienced things I would never have believed until I saw them! And I fully expect to see yet greater things, including, as prophesied, the defeat of whole nations by valiant Torah-obedient warriors of Yahweh. However, such instruments of the divine will are not to be found amongst bullish men but amongst the meek, mild, broken, humble and submitted as Moses was. Remember that.

Calling Believers Back to the Path

We are here to call reprobate, apostate and disobedient believers back to true emunah (faith), those who "profess to know Elohim (God), but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work" (Titus 1:16, NKJV). These souls - pampered and spoiled by preachers teaching false doctrine such as the 'rapture' or 'once saved, always saved' (OSAS) - living watered-down, lawless anti-Torah gospels, preaching the feeling-based, New Agey Beatles-type Gospel of "all you need is love!", waiting in vain to be caught up into the air so that they don't have to experience the 'horrible' things down on earth any more, must be witnessed to before they are swallowed up into the gaping jaws of the Enemy arising out of the Pit. And likewise, to the many legalistic messianics crying out, "All You Need is Law!" have to be convinced in their levim (hearts) that first of all they need to know the redemptive ahavah (love) of Elohim (God) and make that their primary witness. So many believers, incredible though it is to say so, are lost. They need our urgent witness. And they need it in emet (truth), power and ahavah (love).

    Witnessing to Unbelievers

What of the unbelievers? There is an awakening going on as people start seeing through all the lies around them, but what they are most in danger of now is being seduced by a New Age, redressed and modernised paganised, counterfeit gospel with a scientific 'feel' about it, one that preys on their vanity, which would have them believe that they are spiritually evolving into gods or supermen because of cosmic alignments and the like, or that they are an élite breed of extra-terrestrial 'star children' [6], and that all they have to do is find the 'christ within', attain 'cosmic consciousness', or something akin to that. There are huge numbers of those who have been abducted and assalted by demonic nefilim pretending to be 'aliens' in UFO's and the only people who believe them are New Agers who teach them a false doctrine and rob them of their opportunity for salvation. Who will inform themselves from the Body of Messiah, learn the ministerial skills to help these hurting people, and lead them to the only Person who can actually help and heal them?

    Reaching Atheists

We still have to witness to atheists who are fighting for their political lives and control over education and the media as their materialistic gods are being progressively shattered by their own science and as it becomes plain that the universe has an intelligent Creator [7] behind it. They and intellectuals generally resisting the call of Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) need the philosophical skills of valiant witnesses like Ravi Zacharias [8], whose many informative books I highly recommend. He is without a doubt the C.S.Lewis of the 21st Century and very influential. Learn from him.

    Become Better Scientists

So, yes, there are so many needing an urgent witness! You might wonder how this is going to be done. Apart from the obvious thing of walking in the Ruach (Spirit) and not our own flesh (which has to be broken), and of walking obediently in the Torah (Law), we also have to instruct believers in the false systems of belief that prevail today so that they may give them accurate, seasoned answers in pure emet (truth) (2 Cor.5:12). We also need to know our science better, and know it well. This is not something as frightening as some of you may believe since we have all had a basic science training in school. But we do need to be able to expose the lies of evolution - both the naturalistic and the spiritual varieties - and demonstrate from both the Scriptures and from bona fide science that we are the result of supernatural creation, something that Scofield began undermining, incidentally, by teaching 'Gap Theory' in his Reference Bible. The evidence is all there, and in great abundance, if we'll only dig. To do that we have to be honest and expansive in our thinking and acknowledge with Werner von Braun this emet (truth):

"It is as difficult for me to understand a scientist who does not acknowledge the presence of a superior rationality behind the existence of the universe as it is to comprehend a theologian who would deny the advances of science."

    Become Familiarised with Consciousness Teaching

Equally, we have to keep abreast of developments in other fields too, and especially in the new 'Consciousness Science', such as that being advanced by the former Christian 'Health Ranger', Mike Adams [9], which is attracting droves of people and funnelling them into New Age teachings and practices. If we don't, we will rightly be perceived as intellectual and spiritual dinosaurs. Neither traditional nor the new Science is a threat to us if we will simply follow the divine tavnith (pattern) in the Bible, a theme and direction we in this ministry are pursuing keenly with a view to glorfying the Creator (instead of the Creation) and helping save lost souls. You'll find lots of materials on this on our website.

    Conclusion

We were warned millennia ago both what we must do as teachers and what kind of example we are to give. So lets follow David's instructions and not make the mistakes of Ephraim of old:

"For He established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a Torah (Law) in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children; that the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children, that they may set their hope in Elohim (God), and not forget the works of Elohim (God), but keep His mitzvot (commandments); and may not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set its lev (heart) aright, and whose ruach (spirit) was not faithful to Elohim (God). The children of Ephraim, being armed and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle. They did not keep the b'rit (covenant) of Elohim (God); they refused to walk in His Torah (Law), and forgot His works and His wonders that He had shown them" (Ps.78:5-11, NKJV).

    Amen.
