Part 5 - Christian Conduct and Standards of Behaviour at MLT
While you are visiting with us at MLT for Conference or other assemblies and on our premises, we expect Christian conduct and standards of behaviour to be maintained as a condition of your being permitted to visit with us:
- 1. No tobacco thereof is permitted either at the Conference Centre, in the Guest House, anywhere on the grounds of MLT or at MLT-sponsored or -organised activities, or may otherwise be smoked or chewed;
- 2. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on MLT property or during MLT-sponsored or -organised activities, or may otherwise be consumed;
- 3. No non-prescription drugs (narcotics), as defined by Swedish law, are permitted on MLT property or during MLT-sponsored or 'organised activities, or may otherwise be used in any form;
- 4. No firearms (rifles, pistols, etc.) or other offensive weapons (knives, daggers, etc.), as defined by Swedish law, are permitted on MLT property or during MLT-sponsored or -organised activities;
- 5. No pornography, whether in electronic format on computers, cameras, etc., or printed, is permitted on MLT property or during MLT-sponsored or -organised activities;
- 6. Cell phones and other electronic communication devices must be turned off during meetings and may only be used outdoors or in places where others are not congregated so as not to cause any disturbance;
- 7. No pets may be brought on MLT property for a number of reasons including:
- a. Noise;
- b. Hygiene;
- c. Disruption of MLT domestic routines; and
- d. Out of consideration for those who may have allergy problems (our own dogs are hypoallergetic - they don't shed hair and so won't cause difficulties for people with allergy problems).
- 8. We expect proper observation of the MLT dress code at all times;
- 9. We expect clean language to be used at all times (no swearing or filthy language at any time on MLT property or in MLT organised events);
- 10. We expect proper chaste behaviour to be shown by men at all times toward both married and unmarried women, and married women toward married and single men. Sexual predators in general and those who do not respect the MLT/NCAY rules on courtship and marriage are not welcome;
- 11. We have zero tolerance toward racism and prejudice against plural marriage (see Social Issues: Racism & Plural Marriage).
MLT/NCAY reserves the right to expell any conference delegate who does not observe these Torah and MLT House rules of conduct. We will refund any registration fees for the calendar days expelled delegates are required to cut short.
