Brother Frederick Simons of Almere, Netherlands, a very dear friend and brother in Messiah, whom I had known only for a very short period of time though it felt as though we had known each other for a very long time, passed away on 15 September 2016 following a heart attack.

We first met in May 2015 when he motored up to Sweden with another brother to meet us. We hit it off from the start and were astonished to discover just how similar our beliefs were even though we had come from very different spiritual backgrounds. By the time he left, we had ironed out most of our differences after long and intensive discussions and planned to meet up again.

Yahweh brought us together again for a very short time a year later when I was suddenly called to the United States to attend the funeral of a relative. A short stop-over in Amsterdam provided the ideal opportunity for us to meet up again, even if it was only for a few hours. We spent our last hours together in prayer and deep fellowship, little knowing that Yahweh would take him home so soon afterwards. We had planned to meet up again in the autumn or following spring here in Sweden.

Brother Frederick was a charming and delightful person to be around and all my family liked him. We could talk openly and freely as souls who had known one another all our lives. I will always cherish our short time together in Amsterdam in his home.

I had supposed that he had a work to do in the gathering of the Remnant since he was so clearly a part of it. He was a pastor and evangelist and possessed the prophetic gift and did a considerable amount of evangelism with his wife on her home island of Curaçao in the West Indies. He understood the world and how it worked. It is my prayer that his legacy will be preserved for he knew things that the Remnant most certainly need.

Our prayers go out to his grieving wife and family. Rest in peace, Brother Frederick, until the day when we meet again at our Master's feet.
