Month 1:21 (Aviv 21), Week 3:6 (Sheshi/Kippur), Year:Day 5940:21 AM

Chag haMatzah VII 2016
8. The Presence, End-Times
and Historical Sowings

    Continued from Part 7

    Introduction

    Shabbat shalom and Chag haMatzah Sameach mishpachah on this the seventh and last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and to my final message of this Passover Season. May Yahweh's grace and peace be over this assembly and over all the qadoshim (saints, set-apart ones) for this High Sabbath. We'd like to welcome our online conferencing visitors from South Africa and the USA and hope to be able to do more of this in the future.

    A Reminder About Prophets

    May I first of all remind everyone, before I begin, that it is everyone's responsibility to check what I say with Scripture and with the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) and take personal responsibility for what they believe and implement in their personal lives? The gate we are passing through as a Body is narrow and admits only one person at a time, tried and tested, polished and refined. We enter the Kingdom one at a time and we are judged one at a time even if there are communal or corporate judgments too. Yahweh is calling everyone to be nevi'im (prophets) over their own lives, the way it should have been in the beginning but which Israel refused to acknowledge:

      "Moses replied, '... I wish that all Yahweh's people were nevi'im (prophets) and that Yahweh would put his Ruach (Spirit) on [Israel]!'" (Num.11:29, NIV).

    The Testimony of the Remnant

    And with the malak (angel) who spoke to John the apostle, we reaffirm:

      "I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Yah'shua (Jesus). Worship Elohim (God)! For the testimony of Yah'shua (Jesus) is the spirit of prophecy" (Rev.19:10, NIV).

    Idolatry

    This is not a covenant like unto the covenant Yahweh entered into with Moses and the children of Israel, and Messianic Israel can not be led by Moses-men alone. If anyone looks up to me as their 'prophet, seer and revelator', something I have never claimed for anyone except, on occasion, my own immediate family in dire circumstances, as it the responsibility for every head, then they are committing idolatry. Equally, though, as we shall see today, this covenant can not be shared with those who are not walking in the true Ruach (Spirit) which is why we have been given this time of refining and polishing through judgment and tribulation. The Remnant Body that must emerge must all operate in the same Ruach (Spirit) and be receiving the same revelation.

    False Claims

    As before, there are people coming up to this work claiming that I have said I am some navi (prophet) like Moses or Elijah. May I say, once again, that I have never claimed this and have consistently refuted it. What I obtain from Yahweh I receive as patriarch of my family and I share it with other families and individuals for their testing and personal edification. I am first and foremost a pastor and a teacher which is why people call me 'Pastor' and not 'Prophet'. People are as free to walk away from this work as they are to come up to it. We are not trying to 'keep' anyone here and neither are we trying to 'get rid' of anyone either. I wished to make that clear before I share are what may be considered 'prophetic insights' today. All must learn to trust in Elohim (God) and not in the arm of flesh. All must take responsibility for what they own spiritually and prophetically.

    The Third and Last Revelation for the Feast

    This is the message I promised you two days ago, the last of three revelations I then received, plus I will be giving you a biblical exegesis showing you why Yah'shua (Jesus) is not returning following the present tribulation and judgments, how it was predicted by Yah'shua (Jesus) Himself and how it is that the bulk of Evangelical Christianity and Messianism have been deceived by a false spirit which they have mistaken as the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit).

    The Counterfeit Spirit

    Many are already misinterpreting, by this counterfeit spirit which they have, the visions I have recently been sharing such as the drout and famine one because they believe they have witnessed all the evil there is to be seen. Some are Western Christian rapturists who for some reason believe they are going to be 'spared' from what's happening in the Middle East because, again according to their belief, they think the Bride is not going to wade through blood and tribulation, even if for the moment it has escaped them that tens of thousands of Christians are already 'wading through blood and tribulation'. The Bride is a bloodied one and has been since she was created 2,000 years ago. Why do they suppose that one part of the Body shall go through such things but not themselves? To rationalise their escapist doctrine they are forced to either ignore their brethren in the Middle East and elsewhere or arrive at the theologically untenable position that they are somehow 'worthier' then their fellows being martyred elsewhere.

    Yah'shua Coming Soon?

    The rest are, well, just plain weary or tired (who isn't?!) and can't believe Yahweh would want them to go through anything worse than they have presently experienced in their comparitively sheltered, well-to-do lives. And those that do realise that calamity is coming to the West likewise comfort themselves with the hope that "Yah'shua (Jesus) is coming soon", that's to say, in a few months and certainly no more than half-a-dozen years or so, forgetting that this "coming soon" promise has been uttered for the last two thousand years. Do you remember when Yah'shua (Jesus) first spoke it to the apostle John on Patmos around the end of the first century AD?

      "These are the words of Him who is qadosh (holy, set-apart) and true, who holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open. I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my davar (word) and have not denied My Name. I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars - I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. Since you have kept my mitzvah (command) to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of My Elohim (God)" (Rev.3:7-12, NIV).

    'Next Year in Jerusalem' and 'Coming Soonism'

    Be careful of what I sometimes call 'coming soon-ism', not because it isn't scriptural but because it is so often misapplied and gets people's hopes up too soon. The emet (truth) that Messiah "is coming soon" has strengthened believers who have had to pass through persecution and tribulation for many, many generations. It has been used in much the same way as Jews over the millennia have confessed and expressed the hope, "Next year in Jerusalem!" at the end of each Passover meal and at their annual Yom Kippur service. It means to them that just as they perform these services wherever they happen to be (outside of Jerusalem), they pray that next year they will be able to perform them in Jerusalem.

    Judaism

    These days you will hear religious Jews saying, "Next year in rebuilt Jerusalem!" which refers to the building of the temple. Unlike the phrase, "[Yah'shua/Jesus] is coming soon", which as we have seen is in the Messianic Scriptures (New Testament), there is no biblical foundation for "next year in Jerusalem" which is rather the hope of an unscriptural religion called Judaism because the old covenantal Jerusalem is forever gone.

    Getting Your Hopes Up Prematurely

    I would not, therefore, want anyone getting their hopes raised ahead of time when a counterfeit spirit comes and tells them through a rapture raptor that they are soon to be raptured into heaven (which will never happen) or that they don't have to worry about further trouble - or at least not much more - because Yah'shua (Jesus) will be back any day now. In terms of the whole span of prophetic time, yes, it is true - He'll be back 'soon' but not before there is a lot worse trouble and affliction. This isn't going to be over in just a few months or years, brethren and sisters, and I am going to show you why that is so in a minute. This is going to be a long haul which is why much of the elect are being reserved for last.

    Remembering Hezekiah, Idolatry and the Great 2015 Dedication

    The third revelation I received two days ago was, "Remember Hezekiah and Beware of Idolatry". For those of you who are new here, who are learning of what Yahweh is doing amongst us and who have come within the last 10 or 11 months, you need to know of the mitzvah (commandment) we received last Aviv to rededicate Messianic Israel.. This was a huge event which spanned many weeks and resulted in the beginning of the Sukkot Anointing. If you want to know more, you can start with the two-part series, Rededication I: An Aviv 1 Appointment with Yahweh where an important revelation was shared. You will also learn about the cyclical nature of prophecy which is so essential to understanding what is happening now and why it is being misidentified as the prelude or the actual 'Great Tribulation' of biblical prophecy. In it we were directed to share the story of King Hezekiah, his repentance and his rededication of the Jerusalem Temple after the destruction of the idols in his kingdom. A year ago a parallel spiritual dedication took place of the Remnant within the Body of Messiah.

    The Year of Cleansing

    Last year, as in Hezekiah's time, there were six reformations that included the reorganisation of the priesthood. So it is my commission, first of all, to remind those of you who were a part of that dedication to reflect on what has happened, and perhaps re-read the record of those events which has been meticulously kept for times such as this. There are huge promises for the faithful overcomers. You may recall there was a total lunar eclipse on Aviv 1, New Year's Day last year. Not everybody survived the year of cleansing and thereafter there was a long 'ark' journey which is due to end in about five weeks' time. So many things happened, so many prophecies were given, including the one on the collapse of Sweden. With the migrant crisis since, and the economic collapse on its way, we are seeing how that could be fulfilled in the not so very distant future. We were told that we would be ploughed up like a field and were warned of the riders. Then the prophetic countdown began and though the record of that is long and detailed, those who are new to this work would profit from going through it carefully.

    The Watchers of Israel

    Yahweh said two days ago that we are to again beware of idolatry for the Enemy ever seeks to trip us up with the false gods of self-reliance or reliance on others in those areas of our life which are ours alone in Yah'shua (Jesus). And just because the Passover Season ends tomorrow morning does not mean - and never means in any year of observance - that we can relax our standards. We cannot say, 'The worst is over, we can be at ease now, or for a while.' No. All the Remnant must ever be on watch on the towers of their own souls, and those like myself who have wider responsibilities must be on watch for kol beit Yisra'el - all the House of Israel.

    What This Time is Not

    I am grateful to Brother Ljungstrand who pointed out some important scriptural observations two days ago made by the late great theologian, E.W.Bullinger (1837-1913), in his Commentary on Revelation (Kregel, Grand Rapids, Michigan: 1984), an exegesis of the most widely debated book of the Bible. I am not necessarily saying you should get this book, as it does contain a number of errors, but if you are a well-versed and passionate Scriptorian you may have some benefit of it. The remainder of my task today is to distill out some important observations of Bullinger, as well as Brother Ljungstrand's own studies and insights of some three decades of careful study, to which I wish to add some comments and observations of my own. For those of you who already heard Brother Ljungstrand's execellent exegesis two days ago in the morning assembly here, I ask you to bear with me as I try to recall this in my own words and supplement it with, I hope, some other details I myself have collected. You will find what I have to share extremely pertinent to our mission and that it will give you a sound Scriptural basis for believing and testifying as we do, and have been doing now for some considerable period of time. What is our testimony? That, in spite of the gross wickedness everywhere, this is not the time of the successful though brief, visible political Ascent of the Anti-Messiah (Antichrist) for seven years but rather yet another failed attempt by the satanic élitists to get a One World Government because it is not yet Yahweh's time for the final judgment that comes with the release of the Abomination of Desolation.

    The 1942-82 Generation

    You will see plenty of abominations in the times head, yes, and much destruction and desolation too, and it may seem that the Enemy has attained his goal of complete global power and is about to create - to quote his totalitarian motto - 'order out of chaos', but it is not to be so yet. We have anywhere up to another 40 years (and for the record, again, I do not know exactly how many years it will be) before we may expect the return of the Son of Man. My generation - the 1942 to 1982 generation - will almost certainly not witness it. Those born after 1982, if they live long enough, will, I firmly believe, witness the Second Coming. So if you are younger than 34, and Yahweh allows you hang around for another 30 or 40 years, you may well find yourself amongst the privileged witnesses to greet the Master in the air when He returns to inaugurate the Millennium.

    Yah'shua's Temple Prophecy

    So if you would now join with me to begin a short study to show that this is not only the penultimate cycle of judgment but that it is plainly taught in Scripture too. I shall be using the New King James Version (NKJV) as this is the study version we mostly use at home. Find, if you would, the 24th chapter of the Gospel of Matthew, beginning at the first verse (p.1371 in The Evidence Bible) [1]:

      "Then Yah'shua (Jesus) went out and departed from the temple, and His talmidim (disciples) came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Yah'shua (Jesus) said to them, 'Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down'" (Matt.24:1-2, NKJV).

    Stones to Be Cast Down Again

    Applying the principle of prophetic parallelism, we understand that the original and literal building, the Herodian Temple in Jerusalem, is a type of the New Covenant Messianic Community or 'Church'. Originally built to a divine tavnith or pattern in the Mosaic Tabernacle [2] and then applied to the Davidic Tabernacle [3] before being amplified in the Solomonic Temple [4], it continues in the Temple or Body of Messiah where it's stones, too, will be destroyed, being separated from one another, just as the stones of the Jerusalem Temple were and as the living stones, the children of Israel, were broken up in their turn through captivity and exile in Assyria and Babylon. Families, clans and tribes were all broken up then. Thus when, in past sermons and writings, I have told you that the church system - and by extension the messianic system which models itself after a combination of the church system and the Jewish synagogue system - if I told you that the church system that has been around for one and a half millennia is to be dismantled and destroyed, these 'stones becoming absorbed into the Anti-Messiah (Antichrist) One World Religion, it is to this that I am referring.

    The Remnant Temple

    All systems which do not conform precisely to the divine tavnith (pattern) of revealed Scrupture, and all 'stones' (believers) who refuse to be thus conformed individually, must be dismantled before the return of the Son of Man. A new temple is being assembled today, not the one the Jews want to erect in Jerusalem, but an invisible one. Herod's Temple, incidentally, added all kinds of extra structures and courtyards to the original Davidic and Solomonic design, thereby corrupting it to some extent. All the stones of such a system, even those parts which are true, must be thrown down because Yahweh can have no part with Belial. The Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) cannot fully fit into a corrupt space created by false stones, so the false stones need to quit the corrupt system so that they can be assembled into the new and living spiritual Remnant temple.

    The Disciples' Request

    Continuing with the next verse:

      "Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the talmidim (disciples) came to Him privately, saying, 'Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your parousia (coming, presence), and of the end of the age?'" (Matt.24:3-4, NKJV).

    Parousia

    I wish to draw your attention to two things in this sentence. The first is the word parousia which in the NKJV is rendered "coming" and whilst this word can indeed be translated "coming" it is better translated as "presence". This can either refer to a physical presence (as when two people talk face-to-face) or a spiritual presence (that is to say, an invisible presence), or both simultaneously. Thus if I am physically present I can be either sensed physically (with the eyes or by touch or smell) or spiritually (invisibly) [5]. Keep that thought in your mind.

    What is the 'End of the Age'?

    The second part of this verse I wish to draw your attention to is the phrase "end (termination) of the age". The word "age" translates the Greek word aeon and refers to a period of time as opposed to a single point or 'day' in time, and usually to a generation which, as you know from what I shared with you the other day, is a 40 years period of time in the Bible. In other words, the apostles are asking:

      "And what will be the sign of Your parousia (coming, presence) and of the last generation?'" (Matt.24:4, my trans.)

    Still Thinking Nationalistically

    The talmidim (disciples), who had no idea that they weren't the last generation, wanted to know what the sign of the Master's presence would be. Again, they had no idea at this stage that He would die and be resurrected. In their minds was still this nationalistic idea, like Judas and the zealots, that He would drive the Romans away and institute the Kingdom of Israel again as their King, never to leave them again. Not until towards the end did they suspect He might die, let along resurrect and be absent two millennia.

    Yah'shua's Response

    Let's see what Yah'shua's (Jesus') response was to their question in the next two verses:

      "And Yah'shua (Jesus) answered and said to them: 'Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Messiah (Christ),' and will deceive many" (Matt.24:5-6, NKJV).

    People Claming to Be Christ

    Yah'shua (Jesus) answers their second question first on the "end/termination/consumation of the aeon/age". Now obviously, not a lot of Christians or Messianics are going to be deceived by someone coming into their meeting and saying, "I am the Christ, follow me", are they? If anyone turned up to a Messianic Assembly or to an Evangelical Church and said that, they would either be told to repent or be thrown out. They probably wouldn't fare too well in liberal or ultra traditional churches like the Catholics and Lutherans either, so Yah'shua (Jesus) cannot have meant a physical person in our time, even if there will always be crackpots claiming to be physically Christ. Of course, there may well be people demonstrating supernatural (demonic) powers in the future claiming to be the returning Christ, but first there has to be an even greater falling away from the emet (truth) than there has been today, were that possible, which I absolutely believe it is. There are always a few around claiming to be the Messoah, mind you, and I can think of one off the top of my head in Australia called Brian Marshall who is quite brazen in his claim and even dresses up in the way we believe Yah'shua (Jesus) was clothed. He has a growing following.

    If a man came into your assembly and claimed to be Christ...

    The Many Claimants to the Spirit of Christ

    However, seen in the context of a spiritual parousia or presence rather than a physical one, in the time of the last generation, the passage makes a lot more sense, at least in this prophetic cycle which is not the one that culminates in the Second Coming. There are going to be - and already are - millions of Christians and Messianics who have been, and are being, deceived by men claiming to possess the Spirit of Christ or the Ruach Mashiach, and who claim to be speaking in His Name as His divinely-appointed representative with an authortative message. You hear them all the time, tens of thousands of them! And the Master said that this would be the sign of the Last Generation, a massive apostacy.

    The End Not Yet

    Yah'shua (Jesus) now corrects His talmidim (disciples) whom He knows believe, for a moment, that they are this last generation about which they have asked:

      "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet" (Matt.24:6, NKJV).

    The Two 'Ends'

    Now I emphasise the word "end" here because it is not the same word that is translated "end" - in "end of the age" (v.4). The two "end"'s in vv. 4 and 6 are different. Here, in v.6, the word which the NKJV translators and others render as "end" is the Greek word telos. Now this word does not mean "end of the age" or "last generation" but refers specifically to a point in time, a particular day, which marks the end of the age, and which is followed by the physical parousia or personal, physical coming of Messiah. It's very important that we understand the difference between the two "end"'s here.

    Rephrasing

    Let me try to rephrase this section of Scripture that will make this distinction absolutely clear so that you can grasp the concept precisely:

      "As Yah'shua (Jesus) was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the talmidim (disciples) came to Him privately. 'Tell us,' they said, 'when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your presence in the last generation (aeon)?"' Yah'shua (Jesus) answered: 'Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come claiming to have My Spirit, claiming to represent me as the Christ, and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end (telos), when I physically return, is still to come" (Matt.24:3-6, paraphrase of NIV).

    Please note I am not saying that this should replace existing translations. I am simply pointing out how it is to be understood in our time before the actual fulfilment at the very end of the age, in this prophetic cycle which resembles the end of the final one to which it is pointing.

    The Beginning of Sorrows

    Let's move on to the next three verses:

      "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows" (Matt.24:6-8, NKJV).

    An Isaiah Quotation

    The first part of this segment (v.6) is from Isaiah:

      "I will set Egyptians against Egyptians; everyone will fight against his brother, and everyone against his neighbour, city against city, kingdom against kingdom" (Isa.19:2, NKJV).

    This is Not the Prophesied Telos

    Both of these Bible extracts - from Matthew and Isaiah - "the beginning of sorrows" with its faminies, pestilences and earthquakes, is talking about the "end [period of time]", not the "end [point of time]" or telos. We have only just started to enter this "time of sorrows", arguably from the point at which the Last or Second Exodus began two years ago in 2014, which means we have the better part of a whole generation of sorrows, around 38 years or less. The telos or "end [point of time]" is absolutely not yet.

    Disillusion and Fear Because of False Teaching

    Therefore all those coming in the Name of Yah'shua or Yeshua or Jesus, declaring that the 'Rapture' or 'Great Tribulation' will be here in a few months or handfull of years are FALSE, deceiving both themselves and the Messianic Community, the Body of Christ. They are false nevi'im (prophets) in the Evangelical Churches and Messianic Assemblies operating under counterfeit spirits and are leading many to destruction. I have many times tried to picture in my mind how the millions of deceived rapturists are going to adjust to the reality that they are not being spared from tribulation because of the Scofield Reference Bible teachings they have been spoon fed all their lives. There are going to be millions of frightened and disillusioned Baptists, Pentecostals and Charismatics, to name but three 'broad churches' who won't know how to deal with reality when it hits them.

    The footnotes of this Bible have done huge damage

    Who are They?

    Who, then, do you suppose are the "they" in the next verse?

      "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My Name's sake" (Matt.24:9, NKJV).

    Who are they? Those Christians and Messianics operating under false spirits. Yes, of course, there will be persecution and tribulation from unbelievers too, as there always has been, but the warning here to the Remnant is that those Christians, Messianics and other believers who operate under false spirits will persecute the Remnent to the very death. How can that be possible? It is possible because of the way that lies multiplies and sin ripens. Whatever is untrue that you cling onto gives Satan greater and greater presence in your life, eventually driving out the Ruach (Spirit).

    Taking Offense

    Look at the next verse:

      "And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another" (Matt.24:10, NKJV).

    Deepening Deception

    The Light shining out of the remnant operating in the true Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) will cause great OFFENSE to those who are operating under false spirits yet who claim 'Christ', 'Jesus', 'Yeshua', 'Yah'shua', 'Mashiach', 'Adonai' etc. is leading them. If the level of deception in the churches and messianic assemblies is already great today, as we know it is, how much worse do you suppose the decepion will be the longer the they remain in darkness? Look at how blind the world is! Look how many swallow the massive lies of the politicians? They swallow them because they so desperately want them to be true.

    False Prophets

    Yah'shua (Jesus) says further:

      "Then many false nevi'im (prophets) will rise up and deceive many" (Matt.24:11, NKJV).

    Keep Swallowing the Sewage

    Look at the thousands of false nevi'im (prophets) on the Internet, let alone in ministries and churches! They are multiplying like the plague. Nobody holds them to account when they prophesy falsely. They just keep on spewing spiritual sewage and people keep swallowing it, moving from one false oracle to another, always seeking emet (truth) but never finding it, because in reality they do not love the emet (truth). They only want to hear what they want to hear.

    Blown Out of All Proportion

    Verse 10 talks about people being "offended". Taking offence at the littlest of things seems to define this period of time. Political correctness has gone insane. Almost everything 'offends' people nowadays. And believers have been sucked into this devilish combination which makes people permanent victims to whom something is owed in perpetuity. I have never forgotten a story from 1830's America of two families who had a petty disagreement over some livestock. It was really nothing. But it was allowed to fester, and it got bigger and bigger and led to a major family feud for generations. Little things can get blown out of all proportion and Satan loves to get involved in that. People even end up killing one another of such absurd orgins.

    Abounding Lawlessness

    Yah'shua (Jesus) tells us something else about these people:

      "And because Torahlessness (lawlessness) will abound, the ahavah (love) of many will grow cold" (Matt.24:12, NKJV).

    From Offence to Murder

    The master isn't talking about socitetal law and civil order breaking down, though that certainly occurs in the judgment periods, as we can see all around us today. It'll break down massively for a while during the impending judgments but will then result in martial law and brutal state repression. No, the Master is here talking about those who break Yahweh's Law, the Torah. Remember, this discourse of the Saviour is principally about so-called 'believers' turning rotten. And do we not see this in Christianity-rejecting Torah today? Don't these people get offended if you tell them they are Lawless? And then what happens? Condemnation follows inevitably. And don't suppose that the barbarity of the 1500's and 1600's can't or won't return again, when Catholics and Protestants alike burned each other at the stake for 'heresy'. It will happen again and those killers will think that are doing Elohim (God) a favour, like the murderous ISIS militants today. I don't remember what I have been called by one 'reputable' Evangelical Christian apologetics ministry. They are sparse on facts and liberal in the denunciation of 'heresy' as they perceive it. But this is what we have been told to expect. Offences [6] over trivial things get turned into a raging inferno of anger and hatred.

    Preaching Followed by the End

    Finally, lets look at two more verses and leave it at that:

      "But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this Besorah (Gospel) of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come" (Matt.24:13-14, NKJV).

    Gospel of the Kingdom

    Here we are back to the "end" concept, mentioned twice this time. Would anyone like to venture a guess as to which "end" Messiah is talking about here? Yes, it's telos or "end [point]" He who endures to the telos or end point in time at which point Yah'shua (Jesus) returns, or to death (if he is not called to be here at the Second Coming), will be saved. And this Besorah (Gospel) - specifically called the "Besorah (Gospel) of the Kingdom" - will be preached during the end-time aeon or "end of the age" by the Remnant to both the world and to the corrupt church system. And if the Remnant is preaching this "Gospel of the Kingdom", then the rest calling themselves believers (Christians, Messianics) clearly cannot be. They are preaching some other 'gospel', a lawless 'gospel'.

    Revealing the Snarling Wolf

    Now I have seen ministers who are otherwise smiling, happy and spiritual turn into snarling wolves when confronted by the Torah. Like Satan, they positively loathe it. They can appear like beautiful lambs one minute and then, like Dr.Jeckell and Mr.Hyde, turn into something else the next. You can never really know who a believer really is, or to whom he actually belongs, until you present "the Gospel of the Kingdom" to him. Then you'll know which side of the dividing line he's on. You see, no Kingdom exists without laws and the Kingdom of our Messiah is no different. And thosae who claim His Kingdom has no laws are by definition lawless.

    A Mystery in the Parable of the Sower

    So what is this "Gospel of the Kingdom"? Has it been preached before? Have there been times in Christian history when it has been absent? How are we going to positively identify it? To start answering that question we are going to go to the Synoptic Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, all of whom record Yah'shua's (Jesus') Parable of the Sower. We talked about the mysterion or "mystery" of the Besorah (Gospel) the other day. Yah'shua (Jesus) tells His talmidim (disciples) that this Parable is a mysterion too. We'll see how as we unpack it and discover what 'Gospel' has been preached when in Christian history.

    The Parable

    So let's begin and as we go through this Parable, realise there are four different sowings spoken of. Hopefully you'll see something today you might not have seen before:

      "On the same day Yah'shua (Jesus) went out of the house and sat by the sea. And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: 'Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed:

      • 1. Some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them;
      • 2. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away;
      • 3. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them; but
      • 4. Others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.'

      He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" (Matt.13:1-9, NKJV).

    The Four Sowings

    Whenever the Master says, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" (v.9) He is serving notice that a mysterion or mystery is being presented. Let's recap the four sowings:

    • 1. Wayside and birds;
    • 2. Stoney places;
    • 3. Thorns; and
    • 4. Good ground with 100x, 60x and 30x increase.

    Why Parables?

    Reading on:

      "And the talmidim (disciples) came and said to Him, 'Why do You speak to them in parables?' He answered and said to them, 'Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:

        'Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive; for the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.'

      "But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many nevi'im (prophets) and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it" (Matt.13:10-17, NKJV).

    The Explanation

    Who are these people in v.17? These were the Remnant at the time of Yah'shua (Jesus) - they alone understood. Other 'believers' - lawless believers - did not. There are many applications or understandings at different levels but this is the one that Messiah gave, the most important one:

      "Therefore hear the parable of the sower:

      • 1. When anyone hears the davar (word) of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.;
      • 2. But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with simcha (joy); yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the davar (word), immediately he stumbles;
      • 3. Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the davar (word), and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the davar (word), and he becomes unfruitful; but
      • 4. He who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the davar (word) and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty" (Matt.13:18-23, NKJV).

    The Four Types of Response to Preaching

    On the primary level, which Yah'shua (Jesus) explains, there are four types of soul who hear the Davar (Word) of the Besorah (Gospel) and we can understand who these are better by further understanding that this is also a prophecy about the Gospel Witness from the days of John the Baptist to the End-Time Remnant. It's the prophetic story from Matthew 1:1 to Revelation 22:21.

    The Four Historical Phases

    These, then, are the four historical Gospel phases:

    • 1. John the Baptist who brought the ministry of repentance to the 'waysiders';

    • 2. Yah'shua the Messiah who brought the Besorah (Gospel) of Salvation to those who stand on stoney ground, to people who are first filled with simcha (joy) but who quickly burn out. These were they who shouted, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the Name of Yahweh! Hosanna in the highest!" one minute (Matt.21:9, NKJV) and then, "Crucify Him!" the next minute, with equal fervour (Matt.27:22, NKJV);

    • 3. The First Apostles who after the Shavu'ot (Weeks, 'Pentecost') Anointing went to the 'thorners', to those overcome by the world leading to unfruitfulness, many examples of which we find in Acts and in 3 John. Soon after the apostles were gone, the full "Besorah (Gospel) of the Kingdom" wasn't taught any more, it having been choked by the noxious weeds of paganism; and

    • 4. The End Time Torah-Obedient Remnant who after the Sukkot Anointing, will be going to the 'good grounders'. Soon to begin, the "Besorah (Gospel) of the Kingdom", not the 'gospel of the churches' or 'synagogues', will be preached to the whole world "with [authentic] signs following" (Mark 16:20, KJV) and "in [godly] power" (Acts 19:20, NIV). These will be true, commandment-keeping overcomers. They will not convince the whole world or even a fraction of it, nor are they supposed to, but will give a testimony against the nations to be used in the Court of Yahweh in the judgment of nations and individuals when His Son returns.

    The Four Historical Sowings

    Cleansing Yet to be Done by the Remnant

    We have still not been 'sent out' fully because that must await further anointing and purification. We are still in the times of cleansing, all of us. And I am certainly aware of it in myself. Each day is a struggle to be quit of yet one more wrong attitude, one more sinful disposition. It is an ongoing process, and those of us who have been around longer often have more to shed of the 'old life' than we would sometimes care to admit. This is the heart of the message of Chag haMatzah, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, that we have been commanded to observe for this last week. It's also a time of cancelling debts and returning to and claiming the Good Ground we may have sold to the Enemy in sin. It's a time for admitting mistakes, asking forgiveness, and moving on.

    Conclusion

    Brethren and sisters, I thank you for your parousia (presence), whether physically or in spirit, at these spring moedim (appointments) over the last eight days. I hope these days have been a blessing for you. Though the spring festivals are over, we are still aboard the Ark awaiting disembarkation in five weeks' time. I have certainly sensed a change, as if doors are being opened in the distance. The Chavurat Bekorot has been going through a purging and the post-Ark New Covenant Assemblies of Yahweh will be very different from the previous one. We are finished with the old 'church system' and are in the process of gathering one-by-one, family-by-family and perhaps the occasional small congregation. We have learned, from painful experience in the immediate pre-Ark period, the impossibility of working with church system-raised congregations set in their ways, disunited by doctrine, pulling in multiple spiritual directions and led by pastors prepared to compromise teaching and loyalty in order to garnish Babylon's coinage. Whether in large denominations, small denominations or as independents, all those adhering to the church system will be swept away in the coming tribulations. All have to be dismantled so that the living stones, pure and true, can gather up to the Remnant. From this day forward you're either in 100 per cent or out 100 per cent. Either way, you have to make up your mind. We don't care what your issues or struggles are so long as you are totally committed and loyal, but you have to be in all the way or not at all. More tomorrow. Shalom b'Yah'shua!

    [5] The Jehovah's Witnesses have taken the word parousia and when it relates to the Second Coming insist that it only refers to an 'invisible' presence. This gutting of the fullness of the meaning of the word parousia they have done in order to cover up and explain away numerous false prophecies they have made for the return of their 'Jesus' physically. When he failed to manifest according to their timelines, and in order to extricate themselves from the charge of being false prophets, they invented the Invisible Second Coming of Christ
