Month 2:22, Week 3:7 (Shibi'i/Sukkot), Year:Day 5937:052 AM

The Calling Given
Prophetic Visions and Happenings

    Continued from Part 0

"The daughter of any cohen (priest), if she profanes herself by harlotry, she profanes her father; and she shall be burned with fire" (Lev.21:9, NASB).

    Introduction

Shabbat shalom kol beit Yisra'el and the grace of our Master Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) be upon you all on this the fifth sabbath of sefifa - of counting the omer. I have quite a large number of prophetic devarim (words) to share with you today and rather than spread them out over the week as I had originally intended, I have decided to bring them all together in a single address today. This is therefore going to be a multi-themed sermon today.

    Hitchens vs. Blair Debate

But before I do that I wanted first to share with you some of my observations about where religion is going in contemporary society after having listened yesterday evening to an interesting debate between former British Prime Minister Tony Blair (who after his tenure in 10 Downing Street converted to the Roman Catholicism of his wife) and the late 'evangelical atheist' (if I may be permitted to call him that), Christopher Hitchens which took place not so long ago in Toronto, Canada (a hot-bed of liberalism). The motion of the debate was, 'Is Religion a Force for Good in the World?'.

    The New Globalist 'Consensus'

I expect some of you know that I have a sneaking admiration for Christopher Hitchen's breadth of knowledge (he was a well-informed journalist) and his Oxbridge-type oratorial and debating skills with which I became familiar at college. I also agree with many of his humanist beliefs...up to a point. So it was an interesting position to be in as I was grudgingly forced to take the side of Tony Blair - whom I believe to be a sneaky, dishonest politician and every bit a hireling of the élitists - as he defended his version of 'faith' without heaven, hell or mitzvot (commandments). I knew from the beginning this was a 'good cop/bad cop' scenario and not to get drawn in so I tried to listen dispassionately to Blair's watered-down secularised and New Agey religion and Hitchens' aggressive anti-theism and anti-creationism.

    The Globalist Agenda for Religion

What the debate was really about - it's agenda, if you will - was finding public consensus and a new Hegelian dialectical synthesis between the pretended humanism of the élitists (who are in fact Satanists) and their public face (in the form of Hitchens) represented as compassionate humanism. Hitchens is your typical left-wing liberal- and therefore respresentative of Third Way Europeism and its Obamaite counterpart in America. This liberalised communistic political philosophy is only prepared only to tolerate religious people provided they restrict their activity to humanist charity work and exclude the fundamentals of faith, particularly Christian faith - of compassion for people without judging anyone's world view as invalid. The religion of Blair, by contrast, which is being promoted as the acceptable face of the New Religion of the New World Order, was utterly devoid of the fundamentals of the Besorah (Gospel) and was basically a religiously dressed version of Hitchens' own humanism. But these are the two 'alternatives' that citizens of the emerging New World Order are being offered with everything else now being labelled as 'extremist', 'dangerous' and politically incorrect. What I saw in the debate was basically a summary of what 'spirituality' would be permitted to consist of in the world dictatorship that is coming.

    A Shocking Passage of Scripture?

So today's passage of scripture, which is taken from the Old Covenant, would have been viewed by both Hitchens and Blair as morally outrageous and repugnant. Both would have unhesitatingly condemned it in their own way, as indeed would anyone else who has been conditioned to think like the modern secular liberal communist. It's quite a shocking revelation - which is part of the reason I have chosen it - because what it's saying is that if a cohen's (priest's) daughter commits harlotry, she defiles her father, and must be burned. This is the only passage of Scripture that mandates burning as a form of execution. And you, like me, will no doubt be asking yourself: Why the severity? I know what Hitchens would have said in commentary...that this was a typical example of barbaric, exclusivist, anti-woman tribal religion and a good illustration of the tyranny of all faith-based systems. We'll not mention the fruit of the atheistic anti-religions of communism and fascism the 21st century mutation of these.

    The Spiritual Pointer

Like so many Old Covenant instructions, such instructions are spiritual pointers to emet (truth) in the B'rit Chadashah or New Covenant order of which we are a part today. Our spiritual adoptive Abba or Father is Yah'shua (Jesus), whose sons and daughters we become by the cleansing blood of atonement and by a threefold covenant at, first, Yom haBikkurim (Firstfruits) - which is the new talmid's (disciple's) covenent by water immersion or baptism signifying new birth, regeneration and a vow to follow Messiah always; - at, second, Shavu'ot (Pentecost) - which represents an infilling of the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) that follows the one who truly trusts or believes in Messiah and is true to baptismal covenant - and finally at, third, Sukkot which is the final anointing of those who have purified themselves and therefore qualified to become the Bride of Messiah (Christ).

    Purging by Fire

The daughter of the cohen (priest) is the aspiring Bride or Body of Messiah, and the cohen (priest) is Yah'shua (Jesus), our Cohen Gadol or High Priest. If we break the Covenant we must be purged by esh or fire, as Paul warned:

"For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ). Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by esh (fire); and the esh (fire) will test each one's work, of what sort it is. If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through esh (fire). Do you not know that you are the mishkan (temple) of Elohim (God) and that the Ruach Elohim (Spirit of God) dwells in you? If anyone defiles the mishkan (temple) of Elohim (God), Elohim (God) will destroy him. For the temple of Elohim (God) is qodesh (holy, set-apart), which temple you are" (1 Cor.3:11-17, NKJV).

    The Brass Laver

In other words if we, who have given ourselves by covenant to be the aspiring bride of Messiah, then go and commit adultery of any kind, we defile the Bridegroom and are fit only for destruction. We have mocked the covenant. At the end of this life, as Paul explains to the Corinthians, we are tested by passing through the esh (fire) that is represented as a type in the Old Covenent mishkan (temple) of the great brass Laver outside the Tabernacle in which the cohenim (priests) had to wash before entering Yah's House. Everyone spiritually has to pass through it, believer and unbeliever alike. Once that final burning has done its job, burning away all that is not of Yahweh, then what is left is what we will carry as our reward into eternity.

    The Necessity of Spiritual Purification

However, we also have the choice of being spiritually burned (purified) now and that is what this passage of Scripture means. We, who are the daughter of the Father, must have our tendency to spiritual harlotry - our faithlessness to the b'rit (covenant) and our failure to obey the mitzvot (commandments) - burned out of us. If we refuse, then our fate is assured. You cannot claim to be the child of the El Elyon, the Most High, or claim the heavenly rewards of the same, whilst living as a spiritual fornicator or adulterer.

    Vision of the Caged Dove

I begin this sober davar (word) and controversial (for the atheists and liberals) which Yahweh gave me 12 days ago as a preface to what I am about to share with you. Let it be said from the outset that I, like everyone else, am included in this process. There are no exceptions. This explanation was given to me the day after Yahweh showed me in vision the state of a family member who has indeed behaved like this cohen's (priest's) daughter as both a literal as well as a spiritual harlot. She was inside a very large cage like an outdoor aviary and represented as a female dove. The cage was in two sections, each sealed off from the other as well as from the outside world, and the dove was in the larger section. The dove was not able to move out of the cage but I was able to move into, and out of, it freely even though there were no doors. This in itself depicts the toqef that fathers and husbands have been granted by Yahweh in His Torah because of their anointing as providers of covering.

    The Kongsberg Delusion

Every one of us must struggle to overcome, including fathers and husbands who are commanded to be coverings in the manner I have described. And we are commanded to be especially diligent at this challenging time of enormous change in the world. Where do we stand in our relationship with the Father? Are we clean or are we defiled? What remains to be overcome? And what are we doing about it? And do we rely on our intellectual and political savvy, like Tony Blair, to defend our faith, or do we operate out of the supernatural? Do we compromise and water-down the Besorah (Gospel) in order to be accepted by the world or do we truly lean on an Elohim (God) who operates in power through tangible miracles? Please, please do not fall for what I call the 'Kongsberg Delusion' where Christianity becmems the worship of man rather than the worship of Yahweh-Elohim and where religious people are filled with a false spirit being poured out globally at this end time. This is the spirit of prostitution and Yahweh hates it. They ignore the Derech (Way), the Emet (Truth) and the Chayim (Life) in order to win the praises of men and to be accepted by the doomed globalist community of those immersed in spiritual harlotry.

    All is in Constant Flux

As all talmidim (disciples) discover by the by, we are all in constant change - nothing in this dimension remains the same, and those who seek security in external things being constant will, I'm afraid to say, have some unhappy experiences and rude awakenings. The only constancy that we are assured of is the presence of the Ruach (Spirit) within us as we remain firmly adhered to Yah'shua (Jesus) and as we constantly move ever close to Him through repentance and lifestyle adjustments - as we become Torah-obedient. This means that we are ourselves constantly changing which can be very disconcerting for those we are close to who would rather that we were 'one way' in order to make them feel 'comfortable' and acceptable to the majority. There is indeed only 'one way' and that is Yah'shua's (Jesus') way to which we should all be aspiring. It's not easy and it's lonely at times but their is no true liberty and happiness any other way. Yes, the Besorah (Gospel) is exclusivist not because we wish to exclude anyone but because unrepentant sinners will always exclude themselves from it! If our eyes are on Him, and on Him alone, then the changes taking place in our loved ones will be the occasion for simcha (joy) rather than fear. And much change is going to happen to Yah's authentic talmidim (disciples) - character changes, behaviour changes, relationship changes.

    A Symphony of Visions

I want to share with a personal experience I had 11 days ago in my journey of change toward Yah'shua (Jesus) in the hope that it will encourage you, and if I may I should like to do so by sharing some visions. This was one morning last week (20 May) at around 7.20 am.

Vision of the Room and the New Glass

First, I saw a vision inside the room I was in at the front of our house here in Sweden, which in the vision was completely empty except for some very large pieces of wood and glass that matched the dimensions of the two large windows in the room. It looked as though they were about to be changed.

Vision of the House and Absent Windows

This vision then closed and I saw another vision of our house from the outside, only it looked 'different' - this, as those of you who understand the spiritual dimension will know, represents our 'spiritual house' which is 'modelled' on physical realities to give us a frame of reference. Like I said, I saw our white house, which is a large white building, a converted school, but in this vision it had no windows and had had been completely repainted a fresh, bright white colour. Not only that, but a large bush nearby, which conceals an old disused oil tank, was entirely absent so that the grounds looked freshly planted too. As I moved along near the back wall, I saw two small windows 'appear', much smaller than the six very large ones we have on the ground floor, which surprised me.

Vision of the Giant Tree in Bloom

I continued moving along the wall until I came to the east side of the house and to a section of lawn that separates it and some outbuildings where I was confronted by this enormous tree. There is none here like that in physical space. When I use the word 'enormous' I do not exaggerate because its top seemed to be touching the clouds. It was shaped like one of the poplar trees that we have in the front of the house only it was fuller and bushier. Not only that, and completely unlike the popular trees we have in temporal space, this tree was completely covered in pink blossom - so much of it that it was overwhelming to behold! Had you seen it it would have reminded you of one of those giant sequoia trees in California in size.

    The Symbolism of Pink

Now the colour pink represents compassion, nurturing and ahavah (love), and relates to unconditional ahavah (love) and understanding, and the giving and receiving of nurturing. It is commonly associated with the feminine principles of romance, affection, intimacy, thoughtfulness and caring. It is a mixture of red and white, or passion melded with purity, and is therefore representative of the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit). The two are complimentary. Raw passion (red) untempered by the purity of holiness (white) leads to trouble which is why the two must go hand-in-hand. The passion of power (red) must be softened and made attractive by the softness of purity, openness and completeness (white). Purity of white tones down the physical passion of red which is associated with male principle. So the deeper the pink, the more passion and energy is exhibited.

    The Hydrangeas

Interestingly enough we felt inspired to buy a couple of pink hydrangeas a week or two ago and were surprised to see the pink colour deepening so rapidly that the flowers are almost red now. However, the symbolism is appropiate given what our house represents to us and to friends of the ministry, since these plants we put right next door to the two pillars that are the gate to our driveway. As Yah'shua (Jesus) is the gate of the sheepfold, so the husband and father is supposed to be the gate of his home, guarding it, more of which I will have to say in a minute with some other visions Yahweh gave me. (I always find it fascinating how revelation ties everything together so neatly).

    Female Principle Adds Balance

So here we have this HUGE tree covered in pink blossom, clearly denoting the gentle, loving female principle and therefore must be the Ruach (Spirit) since it is a heavenly tree (touching the clouds). The rôle of the female in the divine scheme of marriage is to tone down the red passion of the male, providing balance and completeness.

    Pink for Comfort

Pink is also a sign of tiqvah or hope, inspiring warm and comforting feelings and a sense that all will be well.

"But the Comforter, the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit), whom the Father will send in My Name, will teach you everything and will remind you of that which I tell you. I leave you shalom (peace), My shalom (peace) I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your lev (heart) be troubled and do not fear" (John 14:26-27, HRV).

Yah'shua Indentified by Possessing the Ruach and the Messianic Bride

Yah'shua (Jesus) further told His talmidim (disciples):

"He who has the bride is the bridegroom" (John 3:29, NKJV).

On one level this is the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) who bore testimony of Him as Yah's Son at His baptism but on the nother it is the Messianic Community (Church), the talmidim (disciples) themselves, the Messianic Bride. Therefore the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) and the Messianic Community - pure and spotless - are the evidence of who He is.

New Covenant Brings Comfort to Mankind

It follows that if the Ruach (Spirit) is the Comforter, as Yah'shua (Jesus) testified, then one of the functions of the saved is to bring comfort in a hurting world. But that can only come about through the purity and Torah set-apartness of white mingling with the passion of red. The Comforter is symbolically 'pink', therefore, as is the New Covenant.

    Completing the Old Covenant Torah

New Covenant Torah is therefore to be see as the completing of the Old Covenant Torah through the revelation of the feminine principle of the Elohimhead (Godhead).

    The Psychic Effect of Pink

The Ruach (Spirit), as represented by the colour pink, calms and reassures our emotional energies, alleviating feelings of anger, aggression, resentment, abandonment and neglect. Interestingly, scientific studies have confirmed that exposure to large amounts of pink can have a calming effect on the nerves and create physical weakness in people. Violent and aggressive prisoners have been successfully calmed by placing them in a pink room for a specified amount of time. And yet exposure for too long can have the opposite effect.

    Function of the Ruach

Think of what the Ruach (Spirit) does to a person. She puts people in touch with the nurturing side of themselves, through either the need to receive or the need to give, nurturing and giving tender loving care. As a psychological key, make especial note if you have a friend who constantly wears pink as it may indicate a need for acceptance, support and unconditional ahavah (love)!

    Pink Never a Warning Colour

What other qualities does the colour pink have? I can't think of anyone who views as a threatening colour! There are no animals in nature who use it as a warning colour which are usually black, red, yellow or orange - think of wasps and bees. Like the Ruach (Spirit), pink is a non-threatening colour seeking appreciation, respect and admiration. It doesn't like to be taken for granted and just loves to hear the words 'thank you'.

    Female Innocence

The colour pink represents the sweetness and innocence of the child in all of us. It is the colour of uncomplicated emotions, inexperience and naïveté. But a constant and exclusive use of pink is often a sign that someone is immature, silly and girlish, abandoning adult responsibilities. It can, in the negative, represent a lack of will power, a lack of self-reliance and a lack of self-worth, indicating an overly emotional and cautious nature.

    The Trees of Eden

There were many trees in the Garden of Eden whose fruits our first parents were permitted to partake of and those no doubt had blossom and fruit colours that reflected various principles contained within the Ets Chayim or Tree of Life. We're told that the fruit of the Tree of Death - the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil - was especially attractive to the eye which was no doubt in part because of its colour, and quite likely a shade of red to denote the passion of rebellion (it wasn't an apple). Yahweh has given a rainbow of colours to indicate seven primary natures or character dispositions which combine in an infinite array of forms to make us who we are uniquely and individually. (Contrast this with the satanic system of statism which wants to make everyone the same).

    Pure, Unconditional, Non-Threatening Ahavah

So to summarise, the colour prink represents the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) and female principle who epitomises pure, unconditional ahavah (love), compassion, empathy, understanding, nurturing (the giving and receiving of ahavah/love), a calming effect, respect, and hope. It is non-threatening because it lacks anger and aggression, and is the mode by which the lost are drawn to Yah'shua (Jesus) and His salvation:

"I...will draw all peoples to Myself" (John 12:32, NKJV).

Any power for force which tries to force people into the Kingdom of Heaven is therefore not of the New Covenant dispensation, even if the deeper pinks can be more assertive and confident, and is more likely to correspond to 'raw red' than pink which is warm, tender, caring, sensitive and highly intuitive.

    Immaturity

And finally, it is the colour of immaturity, of sweet young girls before life's experiences take over.

    The Tree and Other Principles

I have spent quite a bit of time on this facet of the Great Tree because I believe it is important. However, this should not lead anyone that Yahweh's Universe or Virue is an exclusively 'pink' one. Every colour symbolises something important in the nature of redeemed man along with their various mixtures. We must not suppose that the Besorah (Gospel) is all one and not the rest. There is a place for righteous anger and aggressiveness - Yah'shua (Jesus) demonstrated that in driving out the worshippers of mammon (money) from the Temple precincts, condemning religious hypocrisy and cursing the unfruitful fig tree, all of which were good and necessary.

The Tree is in the East

Nevertheless, in the vision this pink-blossomed tree had a prominent position in the garden, dominating part of it in many ways. It lay in the east of my garden, which is significant, for we read in Genesis:

"So He drove out the man (Adam); and He placed cherubim (malakim/angels) at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life" (Gen.3:24, NKJV).

This vitally important tree - this Tree of Life, which is Yah'shua (Jesus) Himself who mediates His salvation to us through the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit), is in the east side of the gan (garden). But it was not all that is important in the spiritual life as subsequent visions showed which I am coming to. But first an incident between the two sets of visions.

Sid Roth's 'Optionalism' and Colossians 2:16-17

Prior to the next visions Yahweh showed me, a very sweet Pentecostal lady who has been a great blessing to me as a prayer warrior, tried to convince me to abandon Torah-observance by giving me an article Messianic Jew Sid Roth, whose TV shows on the supernatural I sometimes watch and enjoy. Some of you may know him. But basically what Sid Roth claimed was the the festivals were optional and not mandatory in the New Covenant and like most evangelicals he cited Colossians 2:16-17 which is commonly twisted by them:

"Therefore let no one act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to festivals or a new moon or a sabbath day - which are a [mere] shadow of what is to come; but the substance (body - JNT) belongs to Messiah (Christ)" (Col.2:16-17, NASB).

    David Stern and Messianic Judaism

The idea that the festivals were optional was introduced by Messianic Jew Dr. David Stern and author of first the Jewish New Testament (JNT) and later the Complete Jewish Bible (CJB). These important Bible translations inspired a whole series of Messianic versions that have sought to restore the Hebrew roots of the Besorah (Gospel), for which I am very grateful. I don't, however, agree with Stern or Messianic Jews who claim there are essentially 'two types of believer' in the New Covenant - Christians who don't follow Torah and Jewish converts to the Messiah who have the option of doing so if they want. The more conservative Protestants claim that observing the Torah in any form constitutes a virtual act of apostacy and accuse those who observe it as 'legalists'. As I have debunked this accusation extensicely elsewhere, I won't get into that today. What I must do, though, is insert some balance into the Besorah (Gospel) equation by pointing out that it is not all pink. The tree in the centre of the garden was indeed pink when in bloom but there are other features of the 'Gospel House' that I must examine too.

    'Mere' Shadows?

Now you will recall in the New American Standard Bible (NASB) of the passage in Colossians, that the word "mere" is used. For those of you reading this sermon, I have placed 'mere' in square parentheses. The reason I have done so is that it is not present in Greek or Aramaic texts. It has been deliberately added by the translators to reflect an antinomian (lawless, Torahless) bias against Yahweh's moedim or appointments: "which are a [mere] shadow of what is to come" to these Protestants. I want you to remember that as we now examine this passage a little more carefully because this negative word literally means "nothing more than", i.e. the moedim aren't really very important being "nothing more than shadows" and therefore, by implication of the translators, really not much use at all any more. So who gave them the right to insert that word which distorts the original?

    Is Baptism Optional Too?

I want you remember that baptism is a "shadow" too of the time when we will be 100% immersed in Him, and that the substance or body of baptism is also Christ, but that doesn't mean baptism isn't important, as every Baptist and Pentecostal will testify. We don't accuse them of being 'legalists' because they perform an ordinance whose substance is the living Messiah into whom we have been immersed or baptised, do we? But more serious for Sid Roth and other Messianics who think that the festivals are 'optional' is the implication that other things are potentially optional too, like animal sacrifices. What's to stop us from using our 'freedom' to sacrifice animals too whilst of course recognising that they pointed to Yah'shua (Jesus) who fulfilled any need to continue with them? Why not return to the Levitical Priesthood as an 'option' too? The kind of freedom Sid Roth is advocating has devastating consequences for divine concepts of obedience and following divine tavnith (pattern).

The Commandments, Whether Shadow or Substance, Are Not Optional

The absurdity of the 'Gospel of Options' becomes more apparent as you dig into it. It's basically an excuse to do what you want and is just a variety of liberalism. Let us be clear: the mitzvot (commandments) of Yahweh have NEVER been 'optional' whether they are 'shadow' mitzvot (commandments) like baptism, confirmation and the Lord's Supper or observing festivals, new moons and sabbaths or whether they are 'substantial' mitzvot (commandments) like living a moral life. So what, then, was Paul actually saying to the Colossians? We'll let Dr.Stern's own translation enlighten us:

"The sacrifices made by the Levites were ONLY a copy and shadow of the heavenly original (i.e. the Cross); for when Moshe (Moses) was about to erect the Tent (Tabernacle), Elohim (God) warned him. 'See to it that you make everything according to the pattern (tavnith) you were shown in the mountain. But now the work Yeshua (Yah'shua(Jesus) has been given to do is far superior to theirs, as is the covenant (b'rit) He mediates is better. For this covenant (b'rit) has been given as Torah on the basis of better promises" (MJ/Heb.8:5-6, JNT).

    Baptism, Tzitzit, and Eating Behaviour

Would anyone disagree that being immersed in Yah'shua (Jesus) is more important - better than - the physical ordinance of baptism? Of course not. Yet we are commanded to be baptised and when Yah'shua (Jesus) was, Yahweh responded by sending the Ruach in the form of a dove as a testimony. Is obeying the mitzvot (commandments) more important or better than wearing tzitzit or tassles? Yes, of course it is, yet Yahweh has commanded men under covenant to wear them and demonstrated His blessing of this ordinance by healing the women with an issue of blood when in faith she touched the tassels on Yah'shua's (Jesus') clothing. Is the water we drink from a glass more important or better than the glass we drink from as far as slaking our thirst is concerned? Of course it is but that doesn't mean the glass is unimportant. So what would you tell your guests seated around your dining room table - that using plates, cutlery and glasses are 'optional'? Would you mind if they served their food on the table in a pile and poured drink into a puddle while they bent over like a dog and lapped up the water and burried their faces or hands in the food? There's a sound reason that I, as the head of my family, insist that plates, utensils and glasses are used, and there's a sound reason why Yahweh commands us to observe shadow ordinances like the festivals and sabbaths too.

Shadows of Things Yet to Come

At this point may I remind you of what Paul said earlier to the Colossians when he described the moedim (appointments) as "a shadow of what is to come" and not of what has already come! In other words, even though Yah'shua (Jesus) is truly our internal Sabbath Rest we have still not entered the Inner and Outer Sabbath Rest because it has not come to pass yet. We are still in the world system, harrassed and tried, suffering and sometimes dying - the though the substance of the Sabbath Day is indeed Messiah we have still not entered the Sabbath Millennium when the Sabbath is completely fulfilled! We have still not entered into the fullness of the Sabbath. That is another reason we still need the Sabbath because it has not been completely fulfilled yet. And interestingly, what does Scripture say about the Sabbath Day during the Millennium? We will still be observing it! So even after it is fulfilled we will continue to observe it for spiritual reasons - as a reminder and memorial of our Saviour!

You Can't Have It Both Ways

Let's continue with Paul in Colossians:

"See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than acording to Messiah (Christ). For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumscision made without hands, in the removal of the body of flesh by the circumcision of Messiah (Christ), having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through emunah (faith, trusting) in the working of Elohim (God), who raised Him from the dead. And when you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having cancelled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us and which were hostile to us; and He has taken it (the certificate of debt) out of the way, having nailed it to the cross" (Col.2:8-14, NASB).

If, as the antimonians or the 'optionalists' like Sid Roth and David Stern are forced to admit if they take this passage literally - if the Torah decreeing moedim observances has been nailed to the cross, being permanenrly removed, how can they still be an "option"?

"When He has disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him" (v.15, NASB).

The Two Accomplished Works of the Cross

Let us be clear, then, what Paul is actually talking about - what he is saying in Colossians, for what he is saying is only about:

    • 1. Cancelling the debt note - the "certificate of debt" of sin and the demands of justice; and
    • 2. Conquering Satan and his demons - the "rulers and authorities".

The Shadow and the Substance are Now Echad in Messish

Paul is not saying that the Torah or the festivals and sabbaths have been cancelled. The blood sacrifices are cancelled but not the days connected to them for their substance is now Messiah (Christ)! Now the shadow and the substance have become echad or "one" just as when I walk around in the sun my body and the shadow it casts are echad (one). The point of Colossians is that heaven and earth are united in Messiah.

    Optional Whipping and Stoning?

If Sid Roth and his evangelical backers are right, then not only are the sacrifices optional too but so is the whole Levitical system including whipping, stoning, circumcision and everything else that Yah'shua (Jesus) removed by becoming our sin-bearer. If the moedim are "optional", why are they commanded in the Millennial Reign? Answer: they're not optional!

An Unfolding Story and Message of Visions and Events

Now the reason I have shared this with you today is both because it's instructional but also because it was an event in a series of events that punctuated the visions Yahweh has been sharing with me these last 10 or so days, visions and events that tell a story and communicate an important message.

Vision of the Fence and Menorahs

The day after this incident (23 May), I was shown some very interesting visions indeed that are continuations of the House and Tree visions I shared earlier. In the first of these visions I was taken to the front of our house so that I was standing outside the property and looking in where I had earlier seen that Giant Tree covered in pink blossom. I was on the perimiter of the land we own and looking at the gate. I could see the right-hand post of the two white posts behind which the two hydrangeas are now planted, and extending from it was a strong, brand new metal fence that clearly surrounded the whole property. There is no such fence in physical space, even if we have been contemplating one to keep wild animals out from our vegetable garden, but here in the spiritual realm there was one. Not only that, but it was in rectangular sections with mesh wiring between the metal posts, and on each section of fencing was a large, flat metallic, silvery MENORAH.

I knew immediately that this meant that my home was surrounded in the spiritual and invisible, by a fence of Torah and that it was secure. It was as much a part of the property as the house and the Giant Tree.

    Vision of the Cuboid House

Then I had a second vision and this time I was looking at our 'house' only it was now completely different to both the earlier vision and had no resemblance to the actual physical structure. This building was perfectly cuboid, it was mostly white but also had black beams much like old English Elizabethan houses that tourists go to see in Shakespeare's birthplave, Startford-on-Avon,, but also very complex having windows, doors, arches, a regular roof, and other structures. It was in its overall construction the shape of the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle and later Solomon's Temple, the room that held the Ark of the Covenant. I also saw that there was a complex of buildings, and not just the main ones, but nothing like our physical outhouses either, and the land was flatter.

A Prophetic Dream of a Growing House

I felt an enormous satisfaction viewing all of this because paramount in purchasing this property was the desire to consecrate it to Yahweh and to treat it like a temple, but from a personal point-of-view, it meant that Yahweh was working in me and changing me into what He wants. And interestingly at the same time I saw these visions my wife was having a dream on an identical theme that adds some more insight and richness to the visions themselves. She too was looking at her own 'house' and watched as Yahweh was removing blocks of the building that weren't supposed to be there. As these blocks were taken away by the invisible Hand, so the foundation began growing upwards organically! This was a picture of Yahweh at work on her own life.

The Removal of Sin From Our Lives

We are both to remove sin from our lives and to ask Yahweh to remove the consequences of that sin from within which is the meaning of the festival called Chag haMatzah and one of the reasons we are commanded to observe it. We are to be reminded for a whole week - representing our whole lifespan - that we are to be engaged in overcoming sin and purifying ourselves. Think of all the commandments we have been given to do this:

"Draw near to Elohim (God) and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your levim (hearts), you double-minded" (James 4:8, NKJV).

"Since you have purified your souls in obeying the emet (truth) through the Ruach (Spirit) in sincere ahavah (love) of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure lev (heart), having been born again (represented by Yom haBikkurim), not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Davar Elohim (Word of God) which lives and abides forever" (1 Peter 1:22-23, NKJV).

"Everyone who has this hope in [Yah'shua/Jesus] purifies himself, just as He is pure" (1 John 3:3, NKJV).

Can anyone honestly claim that they don't need reminding of these things? That is why we have the shadows which are the moedim (appointments) in addition to the substance and reality which they depict - Yah'shua (Jesus) in us - because Yahweh knew they would be important reminders and teaching aids. Perhaps Sid Roth, David Stern and others don't think that everyone needs these things because they have made it, and who knows, maybe some have, though I doubt it, because Scripture also testifies that those who claim to have no sin in themselves are liars (1 Jn.1:8; 2:4). Besides, Yahweh has commanded it so that, as far as I am concerned, is the end of the debate. Nevertheless, I am prepared to reason with those who are open to be reasoned with (Is.1:18), which is what I am doing today. It's really an appeal to common sense too.

    Desire Truth Inwardly

A couple of days later while I was meditating about my relationship with Yahweh and the future He gave me these words:

"Thou dost desire emet (truth) in the innermost being" (Ps.51:6a, NASB).

Small Changes One at a Time

Brethren and sisters, if you unswervingly desire all emet (truth) from the depths of your being and are willing to make the thousands of little choices that will bring you in alignment with His Torah, doing so in the purity of the Ruach (Spirit), in the softness and gentleness that is represented by the colour pink, He will work His changes in you until you are conformed to His image, changing you 'block' by 'block'. Every little choice matters in the overall scheme of things - of spiritual change, which is why the tiniest mitzvah (commandment) is important:

"Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah (Law) or the Nevi'im (Prophets). I did not come to destroy but to fulfill (fill up, complete). For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the Torah (Law) till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these mitzvot (commandments), and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven" (Matt.5:17-19, NKJV).

    The Rainbow

The following day we had the most spectacular rainbow over our house and another confirmation of the b'rit (covenant) Yahweh has made with us! I have noticed how these spectacular ones seem to coincide with some important struggle or question that needs resolving.

    Unclean Food Still?

It is not easy to defend untruth and Scripture everywhere exposes it. The trouble is, people are dishonest and prefer the lies and delusions in order to justify their fleshy impulses. The anitomians cry out that Yahweh has abolished the need now to eat kosher food, twisiting Peter's famous vision. Of course, if what they claim were true, there would no longer be such a think as an 'unclean animal' in the New Testament. Yet what does the Book of Revelation tell us:

"And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, 'Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!" (Rev.18:2-3, NKJV).

Unclean animals remain unclean and the Kashrut food ordinances remain...for our own good and Yahweh's glory! And this passage connects up with the first vision of the dove in the cage rendered unclean through whoredom.

Torah is our Fence of Protection

Torah is our fence or hedge of protection and is important in keeping us and our families safe, which is why Yahweh had commanded its eternal obedience. It is inscribed into Creation itself. Nevertheless, the most important thing - the "better" part of the New Covenant, remains our life in Messiah as represented by that Giant Tree with the pink blossom. That is where the fruits are to be found and where the substance matches and supplants the shadows. To complete this picture - this prophetic story - I have two last visions to share with you received two days ago (29 May).

    Vision of the White Crosses

It was early morning and I had just woken up and started praying. I had been reviewing what we as a ministry had been doing over recent years and wondering if there was anything that I had missed out or whether there was something else He wanted me doing. So I asked Yahweh, upfront, what I was supposed to be doing. Immediately, a vision opened up to me, and I saw a black field covered in bright white crosses:

Preach, Teach and Live the Cross Again and Again

Instantly I knew the meaning because of the symbolism He uses with me: TEACH, PREACH AND LIVE THE CROSS...AGAIN AND AGAIN! - and all that means. That is our primary calling - always - to teach, preach and live Messiah crucified and resurrected, the forgiveness of sins, spiritual regeneration, and life everlasting for those who will trust and obey. In short, the Apostles' Creed. Everything else - though important and not by any means to be neglected, as Yah'shua (Jesus) also taught (including Torah-observance) - is strictly secondary. We must never forget that. As I have said a hundred times, we are evangelicals first, and messianics second, even though the two are inseparable as we remain Messianic Evangelicals - Torah-obedient Evangelical Christians.

Vision of the Enemy's Deluge and the Restraining Wall

But that was not all - for immediately after this vision He opened a second one, unsolicited, as a reminder and a warning to all of us. And what I saw was a path passing through countryside, straight and narrow, going up hill and down dale. I was myself moving swiftly above it and at times I could see a pair of sandals moving above and along it too. And they, as you know, are part of the armour the believer is supposed to be wearing - "having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of shalom (peace)" (Eph.6:15, NKJV). But to the right of the path, nudging it almost, was an invisible wall or power holding back destructive, evil forces that wished to deluge the path and make it unusable.

    Time to Get Ready Now!

Brethren and sisters, the enemy is on our doorsteps and we had better get moving! Now is the time to get right with Yahweh, and fast! We are at war and in the midst of a critical battle. This is not a time to slacken or waste time doing frivolous and useless things. Now is the time to engage in spiritual combat.

    Vision of the Seedlings

But that was not all - there was one last vision to complete this 'story', as it were, the third vision completing it. And in it I was back in my garden, near to the spot where I had seen the Great Tree with pink blossom. And I saw two large seedlings, each with a single leaf, bowed down as if in prayer, standing next to each other. And around them in a partial circle were other shorter seedlings, perhaps 20-30 in number. I believe they represent those called to this work now. But I will have more to say on this another time as Yahweh unfolds His plan for us.

    Conclusion

This has been a long address but I believe containing an important prophetic Sabbath message. I hope you will go over my words again and find out what Yahweh is telling you personally through them. May you be blessed and give glory to Yahweh this Shabbat! Amen.
