It is a hard thing for a revelator to bear witness of his revelation. For one thing, we are all liable to deception so long as there is a single sin issue working in us. And I think one of the reasons I speak so seldom of the Olive Branch, a collection of revelations and prophecies I have received over the years (1981-1997) is because I have this fear. As a ministry we seldom publish formal revelations like this any more, not because we don't believe in such revelation (in truth we are having them all the time) but because we acknowledge that the slower but more rigorous 'Berean Method' needs to work alongside them. And since this is the most common and usual method of those who do not necessarily have prophetic or seership gifts (everyone is called to be a Scriptorian), it ought therefore to be emphasised as the primary method of instruction for the whole messianic community (church).

Part of the 'problem' is one of culture. In the East, where inspiration and revelation are more commonly accepted, prophetic revelation is more readily accepted. In the West, which has culturally evolved more sceptical methods of enquiry, revelation is less readily accepted. Between the two lies a happy medium, I believe, and indeed one of the things I was told by the Chinaman when I was a boy was that I should build a bridge between West and East, having myself been born and raised in the Far East and spent the latter part of my life in Europe. Though I have rarely been conscious of this directive, it has pretty much happened all on its own. Revelators (prophets and seers) and Bereans Scriptorians (Torah-teachers) are partners in the Messianic Evangelical calling and have seen us negociate the tricky waters between evangelical Christianity and Messianism. Though both modes have always been with us, we very much began in the revelatory one and then transitioned into the Berean one. We try, now, to give equal partnership to both.

Sadly, the problem is not as simple as this. The West, once renowned for its intellectual prowess, has now become a hotbed of existentialism. It's been like that for the last 30-40 years. Today people worship their feelings and attribute revelation and absolute truth to them. The result of this mistake has been the rise of the Wild Charismatic West with its deadly cocktail of Christianity and sorcery - it has now almost been completely hikacked by occultism. People are flocking to see supernatural manifestations caring little whether they are from God or the Devil, and certainly not knowing how to discern between the two. The same manifestations in this wickedness are to be found in contemporary Hinduism which without a doubt has successfully infiltrated and taken over a huge segment of Christianity in the West.

The Messianics aren't always much better. Here, though, the traditions of Judaism prevail more strongly which emphasises the intellect and channells the esoteric side down into occultic kabbalism. The demonic pollution is no different, just different sets of demons at work. What you tend to therefore find is either arid intellectualism (like that of the religious leaders of Yah'shua's (Jesus) day) or sophisticated, initiate occultism. Between them, the Wild West Charismatics and the Élitist Kabbalistic Messianics are making a mockery of the Gospel and are turning off those who would be saved.

Mind is not truth. Feelings are not truth. The Emet-Truth is the Incarnated Messiah, Yah'shua (Jesus) who reveals Himself to those with broken hearts and contrite spirits in their spirits which then activtates the thoughts and feelings or mind and heart. The mind and feelings are but instruments of truth not its barometers and it is often here that modern believers go wrong.

"Let each...organise his life according to pattern (tavnith), doing all things according to the covenants and commandments (mitzvot), organising his daily life diligently in prayer, study, and good works, through grace, becoming an excellent steward of his time...Behold, righteousness is not predicated upon knowledge but upon obedience. Therefore be ye righteous, disciplining your own lives that your children may imitate you in righteousness...I shall send...the spirit of My prophet Ezra, to call Israel to repentance, and to divorce all their foreign wives, which are the false hopes, aspirations and idolatries of the set-apart ones (saints). And those who will not thus divorce themselves from the world and who will not build up their homes according to the pattern (tavnith), shall have no part in the building of My Temple (the end-time Messianic Bride), nor partake of its glory, but must wander back into the world, losing that light which even they had before they came into the New Covenant. I, Yahweh, have always spoken plainly unto you, that ye might have no cause for excuse, and I shall speak plainly unto you in the days to come. I have allowed no sin to be hidden, empowering my servant to reveal the shame of Israel that she might repent and be cleansed. All darkness shall be exposed before the congregations that none may hide nor lord it over their brethren on account of any supposed righteousness. And there shall be a quaking in Israel, and fear shall cover every heart, because of the strictness and holiness of Yahweh your Elohim. I have extended mercy upon mercy as far as the Torah (law), which ye abide, will allow, but for every level of light there cometh a time of accountability and judgment, that the House of Elohim may be thoroughly purged before she can go forward in her endowment" (Olive Branch 259:1-2,9,17-25)
