Continue Witnessing of Me
The Great Commission to All Believers
In the short time we have left before the Teshuvah or Repentance Season begins we have been doing a lot of reflecting on how to identify the symptoms of falling out of Yahweh's will and what to do about it. Yesterday we looked at the real risk of being cursed with insanity if we deliberately and stubbornly resist Yahweh's will to be obedient to tavnith of Divine Torah Pattern especially in this age of spiritual anarchy. So when I retired last night I was in earnest prayer about what He wanted me to do in this time when where we live our lifestyle is being threatened by new anti-Christian laws. In response to my request for some concrete directions, I heard Yah'shua speak to me very clearly and audibly:
The Great Commission to all disciplies of the Master Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) is simple enough:
"Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Yah'shua had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. And Yah'shua came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples (talmidim) of all the nations, baptizing them in[to] (Amp.V.) the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit), teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen" (Matt.28:16-20, NKJV).
How do you make a talmid or a disciple? You teach them the Gospel, and when they have genuinely accepted it following a mind and heart conversion, you immerse them in water into the Name which belongs to the Father, Son and Ruach haQodesh. The Name of the Father is YHWH or Yahweh, the Name of the Son of Yah'shua (Jesus), and the Name of the Ruach haQodesh has not been revealed, even though we have been given some of the Ruach's titles (like Hochmah or Wisdom). What, then, is the Name of all three?
Scripture tells us that the talmidim were "baptised into [the person of] Christ" (Gal.3:27), "baptized into [the person of] Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ)" (Rom.6:3), "baptized into one body (the Body of Christ, Messianic Israel, all born-again believers)"* (1 Cor.12:13), and "baptized in[to] the name of the Master Yah'shua the Messiah (the Lord Jesus Christ)" (Ac.2:38; 8:16).
If in the Great Commission we are told by Christ to baptise in the Name belonging to the Father, Son and Ruach haQodesh, is that Name Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ)? This is the erroneous claim of Oneness Pentecostals. And some messianics claim that Matthew 28:19 has been inserted by Trinitarians because it is absent in Shem Tov Matthew and in old Syriac Aramaic texts. However, it is present in DuTillit and Münster Hebrew versions as well as the Aramaic Peshitta and in all Greek copies which constitute the overwhelming bulk of New Testament manuscripts. We must therefore obey the original commission of Yah'shua to immerse believers into Messiah Yah'shua in the Name of all Three members of the Elohimhead (Godhead). This is the formula that we use to harmonise all Scriptures on the subject:
"I baptise you into the Messiah Yah'shua and into the New Covenant of Messianic Israel* in the Name of the Father [Yahweh], and of the Son [Yah'shua], and of the [Sevenfold] Ruach haQodesh/Holy Spirit. Amen."
If we are to do a proper job of discipling (both before and after baptism) then we must make sure that believers know into what they are being baptised. Whereas under the Old Covenant they were "baptised into Moses" (1 Cor.10:2) when they followed him across the Red Sea, in the New we are baptised into Christ and into the New Covenant of Messianic Israel - the Body of Christ - in the Name of the Triune Elohim (God) whose Name is YAHWEH - a Name carried by the Messiah in His own Hebrew Name, Yah[weh]'shua.
Recently when a man came to me for deliverance ministry and I was praying to Yahweh for guidance, I heard Yah'shua speak audibly to me again, and He said: "Lead him to Me..." We not only immerse believers in water as an outward sign but we lead them to His face by immersing them spiritually into Yah'shua Himself, the Redeemer of Mankind, by sharing His words and principles. That is how we build Messianic Israel - the Body of Messiah - by pointing souls to the great Spiritual Immerser who then supernaturally baptises them in the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit - Mt.3:11; Mk.1:8; Lk.3:16; Ac.1:5; 11:16) and thus into Himself.
"'You are My witnesses,' says Yahweh" (Isa.43:10, NKJV).
That is what I do - it is what I have been doing and it is what I will continue doing. Whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever your circumstances, you are a witness, whether you are a minister, a street evangelist, a mother at home raising her children, a prisoner, or an internet witness. Whatever openings or tools Yahweh has given to you, use them. And unless you are in solitary confinement in a jail or alone on a desert island, you are always given opportunity to witness! Look around you and see!
"And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) whom Elohim (God) has given to those who obey Him" (Acts 5:31-32, NKJV).
