The word 'vaccine' being used in the Covid-19 situation is a misnomer because the treatment being offered is absolutely not a 'vaccine' - it is something entirely new and properly described as gene therapy. The fact that vaccines and gene therapy are administered in the same way viâ a hypodermic syringe like regular vaccines doesn't make them the same.

Vaccines convey artificial immunity in a person by injecting a small quantity of antigens obtained from the virus's protein shell (called 'immunisation'). This induces the production of the appropriate antibodies which are then present at the ready if and when that particular virus gets into the body. For example, protection against poliomyelitis may be secured by injection of of a small quality of killed-virus vaccine.

An alternative (and quite different) technique is to give a person antibodies from another individual. Protection against diptheria is given in this way. The antibodies are prepared by injecting toxin obtained from the diptheria bacillus into a horse. The toxin is first rendered harmless by chemical treatment so the horse itself does not suffer from the disease, but it responds by producing large quantities of the appropriate antibody. The horse serum, suitably prepared, can then be used against the disease. The trouble with this procedure is that it is short-lived and so re-vaccination must be done periodically.

There are those who claim no vaccines actually work and those who believe some do irrespective of the controversy over the unquestionably harmful chemicals added to regular vaccines to make them more stable like aluminium. The real issue remains as to whether they are actually safe and the jury is definitely out on this one. Furthermore, the evidence rather clearly supports the contention that the reason a whole host of lethal diseases have been defeated in whole or in part is not because of the advent of vaccines per se but because of improved hygiene, waste disposal and more and better food, i.e. improved social conditions. The claim that vaccines are responsible for conferring immunity against a whole host of diseases that would include most, if not all, those listed below, is therefore highly dubious:

However, the issue confronting us in the Covid-19 pandemic is not the efficacy or safety of regular vaccines, which is a separate issue that does not concern us here, but whether the mass-produced Covid-19 'vaccines' are actually 'vaccines' at all and whether or not they are as safe as regular vaccines (which do have some safety issues).
