The Israelite Conquest of Cannan
A question that frequently bothers Christians when confonted with the Old Testament are accounts such as the invasion of Canaan in which God commands the destruction of an entire people - men, women and children. This revelation answers this serious question [Kadesh-biyqah, Sweden].
1. Q. Why, O Lord, was it necessary for Yahoshua (Joshua) to eterminate the Canaanites? Why could they not have been converted?
Sexual Abominations
2. Verily, verily, I say unto you, because of the abominations of the land, which were beyond redemption.
3. For men lay with men as with women {homosexuals}, which is an abomination, and the land [of Canaan] was cursed because of it.
4. And women lay with women as with men {lesbians}, which is an abomination, and the land [of Canaan] was cursed because of it.
5. Men and women lay with animals as with women and men, which is an abomination, and the land [of Canaan] was cursed because of it.
The Destruction of Children
6. And when they conceived children, they were cursed with the cursings of their parents, being utterly defiled by them, and the land [of Canaan] was cursed because of it.
7. The Canaanites worshipped demons and burned their infants in the fire unto [the pagan god] Molech, yea, and their manservants and maidservants [also], being consumed with evil.
Habitual Abuse of Strangers
8. They abused the traveller and the foreigner, subjecting him unto their vileness against his will, yea, and his wives, and his children, and his servants also.
9. Now never at any time hath there been such vileness upon the face of the earth, nay, not since the days of Sodom and Gomorah, for the land was utterly perverse and defiled.
10. The Canaanites worked every abomination, disobeying the ten commandments of Yahweh which have been [in existence] since the foundation of the world, yea, even before they were restored again through My servant Moses.
A Land Full of Demons
11. And the land was full of devils, the length and breadth of it, that in the whole land only one righteous soul was found {Rahab}: and behold, she [and her family] was spared and forgiven.
12. Therefore the land was full of murder, blasphemy, adultery, sexual perversion, and every manner of defilement that hath entered the heart of man, for Satan ruled that land, and there was not a particle of light within it.
A People Fully Ripened in Iniquity
13. For the people would not have recognised the Light of My Truth even if it had been taught unto them, for their consciences were utterly defiled, and their flesh corrupt beyond redemption.
14. Therefore it was expedient for the welfare of all [men and women everywhere] that this [Canaanite] people, being fully ripened in iniquity, should be destroyed off the face of the land [of Canaan], yea, every man, woman, and child.
A Prophetic Picture of the Messiah
15. Now the conquest of Canaan by Yahoshua {Joshua} is a prophetic picture of the redemption of man, for Yahoshua {Joshua} is a type of the Messiah {Christ}, even Yah'shua {Jesus}.
16. He who is without the Messiah is spiritually dead and belongeth unto the devil and all his works.
17. But he who receiveth Messiah shall be saved, and the sword of His {Messiah’s} Word shall slay all sin in his soul, which is like unto Canaan.
18. He who receiveth the Messiah putteth completely to death his old ways, for what fellowship hath righeousness with unrighteousness, or good with evil?
A Complete Purification Required
19. Verily, verily, I say unto you, that if ye would be saved, then ye must be purged of sin through faith and obedience even as Yahoshua {Joshua} put the Canaanites to the sword.
20. The works of men are but filth before the works of Yahweh: therefore put ye on the Messiah {Christ} and His works and be perfectly clean.
21. He who understandeth the cleansing of Canaan understandeth the work of atonement of the Messiah {Christ};
22. But he who understandeth not the work of Yahoshua {Joshua} hath not understood [fully] the work of Yah'shua {Jesus}.
23. He who despiseth Yahoshua {Joshua} despiseth Yahshua {Jesus} also, for the one {Yahoshua} is a type of the other {Yahshua}.
A Revulsion for Sin
24. Be ye revolted by sin, My children, that your hearts no longer desire to retain a single one of them, for such shall be saved.
25. Many there are who suppose that they may retain parts of their old {pre-Christian} life when they come unto Me, but this is impossible, saith the Lord, for I cannot dwell in unholy tabernacles {bodies}.
26. Therefore could Israel not dwell amongst a defiled people.
27. Be ye circumcised in your hearts, everyone, disdaining not the shame nor the suffering thereof, for He who will not share My shame and suffering is not worthy of My salvation.
The Crucifixion of Pride
28. Put all pride to death; [spiritually] crucify the fallen man.
29. And behold, if ye will do this willingly, ye shall receive a full salvation, and obtain an everlasting inheritance which cannot pass away.
Free from Habitual Sin
30. He who hath been redeemed no longer habitually walketh in sin but is free, and returneth not unto the sins of his old life.
31. Therefore if any habitually sin, let him renounce that sin and come unto Me, the living Saviour, that the old man [of sin] might be crucified {put to death}, and the new {Messiah} enter in.
32. He who overcometh shall receive the Kingdom; but he who overcometh not must return from whence he came, to be numbered amongst the Canaanites and receive a true judgement.
Do Not Judge the Works of Yahweh
33. He who judgeth My works judgeth Me, saith the Lord, and [in consequence] must perish as pertaining unto salvation.
34. Therefore woe unto them who judge My judgments, who reject any part of My Word, for they judge amiss and verily love their sins more than their God.
35. And behold, they would justify themselves by appealing unto their own standards of goodness, which are after the thoughts and imaginations of men.
36. And behold, they remain in their sins.
The Eternally Unchanging God
37. He who claimeth the Name of Yah'shua {Jesus} [as a Christian] must also claim the righteousness of Yahoshua {Joshua} for He was a man after Mine own heart, doing all that I appointed him, driving out the Canaanites even as Yahshua {Jesus} drove out the sins of the world, blotting them out by His blood.
38. He who loveth not the works of Yahoshua {Joshua} loveth not the works of Yahshua {Jesus} either, and if he yet nameth the Name of Yahshua {Jesus}, behold it is another “Yahshua” {”Jesus”} and he is lost.
39. Therefore warn him, that per chance he may repent and save his soul.
40. Come ye, come ye, unto the land of Canaan, which is your own souls, and give place unto the Saviour of your souls, even Yahshua {Jesus}m that he may crucify your dead works and bring to pass the redemption of your souls [through His blood], that ye may enjoy the fruits and blessedness thereof. Amen.
