Section 182
The Binding Nature of Covenants
The binding nature of Priesthood covenants is stressed in this revelation. When a man or woman enters into a covenant with the Almighty, who is Eternal, that covenant is eternal. The seriousness of covenant-making is no better illustrated than in the covenant entered into between God and the nation of Israel which cannot be revoked. In the New Covenant, which is also known as the New and Everlasting Covenant, this agreement extends beyond external behaviour (represented by the old Aaronic Covenant, today the Zadokian Order or Order of Deacons) to include our inner spiritual life (the Melchizedek Covenant, or more specifically the Order of Enoch or Order of Elders). When God has revealed a truth to a man by the power of the Holy Spirit, he can never completely deny it without denying the Holy Spirit, which is the only sin that cannot be forgiven (Mt.12:31). When a man enters a covenant he binds himself to a set course of action encompassing his whole life -- his priorities, his moral and ethical behaviour, and the commission to make disciplies of all men. Entering a Priesthood covenant is no small step because a Priesthood officer is a personal representative of God -- an ambassador -- and what he does reflects back on the God he represents. A covenant is a two-way agreement, vow or contract initiated by God. Once a man responds to God's call, he is placed automatically into two spheres -- one of blessing (if he keeps the covenant) and one of cursing (if he does not). He may be released, if God wills it, but only at a terrible cost to himself and his future spiritual progression. Many choices we must make will run contrary to our natures and feelings which are not usually reliable moral or prophetic guides. A warning is given that if the saints do not repent, the outer Church will be removed (as it subsequently was in 1992). The call to the New Covenant is not an easy one to respond to because of its great spiritual depth but a man faced with such a call cannot remain indecisive indefinitely. Though the branch (Church) was small in 1989, it was fruitful because of the faithful. Instructions to individuals have been omitted from this revelation [Oppsal, Oslo, Norway]
1. Thus saith the Lord unto those who are turning away from Me because of the cares of the world1 and the inticings thereof:
2. Ye have made a binding declaration with Me, and the sons and daughters of the Covenant have borne witness before angels and thrones.
3. I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, a great and mighty God who faithfully keepeth covenant, and maketh not light of that which He hath established.
4. I am just and I keep faith even though My people have not kept faith but have gone awhoring after the perishable idols of Babylon.
The Oath and Covenant of the Priesthood
5. The oath and covenant2 of the Enochian Order {Order of Elders within the Melchizedek Priesthood} cannot be undone, for this Priesthood Order is eternal and spiritual;
6. They who seek to be released therefrom cannot be released but must stand judgment.
7. The covenant of the Enochian Order of the Melchizedek Priesthood is eternal, even as the Son is eternal, and the reward thereof is eternal, even as the cursing thereof is eternal for those who would renounce it.
8. Those who break the oath and covenant of the Enochian Order of the Melchizedek Priesthood {Order of Elders} must suffer more than whose who break the [covenant of the] Zadokian Order of the Melchizedek Priesthood {Order of Deacons}, which is [largely] a temporal covenant.
9. Therefore let none enter the oath and covenant of the Enochian Order lightly, lest he waiver and fall, and justice maketh its legitimate demands of him.
10. Nevertheless the oath and covenant of the Zadokian Order {Order of Deacons} is no small matter, saith the Lord.
11. Therefore let those who enter therein lightly beware, for if they fall, they must also receive the reward of their transgression, which is as the rock that dasheth down the wall of rebellion.
12. If a man doth not choose the right when he hath received the spirit of knowledge and wisdom, he must lose the light and pass beyond the arms of grace and mercy, and into the cold and lonely world of Abaddon3.
13. And his knowledge shall profit him nothing, for knowledge is an orphan without love and discipline.
Love is Obedience to Truth
14. And love is obedience to truth, which is knowledge of the Way of the Lord.
Some Choices Contrary to our Nature
15. Verily, verily, I say unto you, that a man must choose that which is right even if it goeth contrary to his nature and the feelings of his heart, for only the truth can save.
Feelings are Not Always a Reliable Guide
16. For the feelings of a man's heart -- his desires and expectations -- are fashioned by his perception of truth, even if that "truth" is the "truth" of a false god, and is therefore itself false.
17. Let each therefore repent and heal the wounds of the Body.
18. I have been merciful, saith the Lord, but I cannot sacrifice the Body for the sake of a few of the members who have departed from the body.
No Repentance, No Outer (Public) Church
19. Nevertheless I shall withdraw the outer Covenant if there is not a general repentance, and the Bride shall go into the wilderness for a season where she may nurchure her child within the Temple of the Most High.
20. I am not the Creator of imperfection, saith the Lord, and will not have My Name taken into the world by the luke-warm and rebellious.
21. Therefore I would rather divorce the Bride4 than have the Name of My Father disgraced before the children of men, and I shall divorce her and send her away if she doth not fully awaken and sweep out her house.
Preserving the Faithful in the Temple
22. The best I shall preserve within My Temple, and there I shall make a new creation and receive the covenants of those who will obey Me.
23. Even now I am sifting, saith the Lord, and have taken aside those who are willing to subject themselves unto all [righteous] things for Christ's sake.
24. I am well pleased with those who come up into My House with clean hearts and minds, having the zeal of the Lord of Hosts emblazoned upon their garments.
25. Nevertheless some are weak, and there are some who doubt and stand at the borders.
The Indecisive Must Choose
26. Let those who are standing at the doors of the New Covenant who hesitate to choose, carefully weigh the Law in the balance and choose.
27. Great blessings await those who are pure and undivided, but those who are divided, who are unable to choose one way over the other, have chosen no way, and it is as though they are in the wilderness.
28. This is the Word of the Lord and I shall say more soon.
29. Grapes cannot be picked from briars nor the joy of the Lord harvested from those who are bitter or rebellious;
The Fruitful Branch
30. But the vine that is watered is plentiful, even that its branches bend with the burden of its joy.
31. See that ye also are as the grapevine, bearing many good and delightsome fruits because of your good works, that your burdens may be a joy unto you like the mother who carrieth the child within her womb.
32. Unto the faithful I say: Bless the Name of your God and be faithful, for He will supply you abundantly.
To the Lost and Sad
33. And unto those who are grieving and have lost their way, I say: Come unto Me and trust your cares unto Me, for I shall receive the truly penitent and forget their offense, holding no charge against them.
34. And they shall become the faithful also, and the vineyard shall flourish and multiply, until none are thirsty anymore in My Holy Mountain. Even so. Amen.
