    Section 177

    On Obedience and Sacrifice

    The spiritual struggles of the first New Covenant Christians are clearly shown in revelations such as this one. Whilst the Gospel of Jesus Christ is remarkably tolerant and merciful towards those who are sincerely trying to work out their salvation in fear and trembling (2 Cor.7:15; Phil.2:12) it takes a dim view of the deliberately proud and rebellious and must occasionally exercise the demands of the law of justice and expell them if they refuse to repent and are harming or dividing the Body. The Spirit of God does not strive with the willfully rebellious but leaves them to wrestle with their own consciences. Therefore it is better to repent quickly whilst there is still Light. The wicked love mercy but hate justice and many naïve Christians think they should forgive every sin unconditionally. Mercy without justice and discipline is lawlessness, as liberalised Western democracy and Christianity has demonstrated. The outermust respect the inner, as children should respect their parents, and Christians their leaders [Oppsal, Oslo, Norway].

    Obedience and Personal Will

    1. I, the Lord, will not be mocked, and when the children of men wilfully disobey Me, knowing My commandments and the strictness thereof, then behold, the Spirit is aggrieved and departeth, and they are left to kick against the pricks {a disturbed conscience} and to be buffeted by the elemental spirits of the world {demons}, which are unredeemed.

    Grace and Justice

    2. I, the Lord, am merciful, and long to cover the sins of men, but when they abuse My grace, the Law of Justice can no longer be covered, and must be satisfied.

    3. Let the saints of the New Covenant learn this lesson, and it is the same lesson that all My servants have had to learn:

    Obedience is Better than Good Intentions

    4. Obedience is better than sacrifice {good intentions} (1 Sam.15:22), for obedience is the son of discipline, and discipline is the brother of love and knowledge.

    5. What will it profit a man if he layeth his all upon the altar of sacrifice but obeyeth not the principles of the Gospel which would sanctify his soul?

    Godly Obedience is Intelligent

    6. Obedience to God is not blind but intelligent, for its end is the increase of love, virtue, and holiness, or in other words, wholeness.

    7. There are yet many in the New Covenant who have not obeyed My Word but have listed after their own desires;

    8. And because they will not be obedient, their love of God and of man hath decreased, which is the fruit of rebellion.

    Doubt and Fear

    9. And with a loss of love have also come doubt and fear, for they have forsaken the security and peace of the Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, which bringeth the fruits of sanctification to the faithful.

    10. For these there is yet space for repentance, but the longer they delay, the longer will their ascent take into the Light;

    11. And behold, the day is short, and is shortening fast.

    Repent While There is Yet Light

    12. Therefore let them repent while there is yet light for them to see, for if they depart they shall be swallowed back up into the world, where the evil one awaiteth to crush them.

    13. Behold, the children of men love My mercy but not My strictness because they have not been sanctified by the higher law.

    Sin Loves Mercy, Hates Discipline

    14. Sin loveth mercy but hateth discipline;

    15. And behold, mercy without discipline is lawlessness, and lawlessness is death, and death is not of God.

    16. Therefore the wicked make claims upon the spirit of mercy but revile thespirit of discipline, for discipline is law, and wickedness never was lawful.

    Moral Will

    17. And what is the higher law? It is as I have told you before, for verily, verily, saith the Lord:

    18. The highest law and the highest love is moral will, and against this can no enemy stand, but must always be defeated.

    19. If a man or a women is built upon the rock of moral will, he shall not fall, but shall endure every storm and temptation.

    20. Therefore choose ye this day the moral law that ye will live;

    21. And if ye will live My law and My commandments, ye will greatly be blessed.

    22. See that ye do this of your own free wills, neither imposing it by compulsive means upon the children of men nor receiving it under duress and with an unwilling heart1.

    Honour Every Covenant

    23. Ye shall not compromise the truth in any degree but live up to every covenant ye have entered into with Me;

    24. And ye shall do so with love in your hearts, or not at all.

    The Outer Must Respect the Inner

    25. I shall not suffer the outer Church to revile the laws and covenants of the inner Church, for the two are one;

    Children Must Respect Their Parents

    26. Neither shall I suffer children to revile their parents, but to hold them in honour, and esteem them as the wiser, more disciplined, and more loving vessels,

    27. Until they are themselves able to arise into spiritual parenthood and receive the mantle of these things themselves.

    One Covenant, Two Parts

    28. Therefore ye shall see to it that both parts of My Covenant are one and indivisible, likening them unto children and parents.

    29. And behold, if the children will not stand in their place they must be punished2 for the sake of the whole Body of Christ, that it may essay {labour} to be pure and spotless, and an ensign unto the world.

    Excommunicate the Unrepentant

    30. For this cause shall those who refuse to repent be thrown out of My Church until they have repented;

    31. And for the same cause some have left the Covenant of their own free wills, and yet others stand at the borders, unsure whether to remain or depart.

    All Must Choose

    32. Behold, they must eventually choose, to either recommit themselves to the greater light or to depart for a lesser one; and many will walk away into darkness3.

    33. Sing the songs of salvation, O ye saints of the New Covenant, for I have not forsaken Israel but will yet work My strange act through her.

    34. Make all things holy, flee from ungodliness, and revile not that which overturneth your false securities and hopes. Even so. Amen.
