Section 175
On Spiritual Fatherhood
and Motherhood
Whenever God gathers a people together, He tries and sifts them to see who will be faithful and who will not, separating those who are sincerely seeking the Gospel from those who have their private agendas and are not. By the autumn/fall of 1989 a clear division was already taking place, and was to remain that way until the final separations took place in 1992 and 1995. Most apostacy is caused by those who are spiritual sons and daughters supposing they are spiritual fathers and mothers before their time. Western man is brought up in an environment where freedom of the individual is more important than the collective good; but the Bible demands that the latter be given precedence and this typically sets up tensions in new believers who do not yield their self-centred lifestyles easily. The Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches that salvation begins with the individual but does not end there. It must move onwards and upwards towards Body salvation -- the redemption of the whole spiritual Family of Christ as represented by the Church or Messianic Community. The greatest struggles the spiritual fathers and mothers in Israel have with new converts is during this transition period from old thinking patterns to the new, and some require many years before they are willing to yield sovereignty of their lives to Christ. This is typically reflected in rebellion against authority. Whilst Christianity is intensely personal it is even more intensely communal or family-orientated. Growing up spiritually is usually a battle between the will of the flesh (the son/daughter/child) and the will of the spirit (the father/mother/adult) (1 Cor.13:11). Those willing to be disciplined and submitted to authority are trained up as Deacons and Deaconesses, and when spiritually mature are ordained Elders and Eldresses, which represent, respectively, colonial (congregational) fatherhood and motherhood. Each congregation should have a Pastor (father) and Pastress (mother) [Oppsal, Oslo, Norway].
1. Behold, I have delivered unto you many precious things, saith the Lord, yea, and I have released you from many of your bonds that ye might turn unto Me, your Lord and Saviour, and be made eternally free.
The Blessedness of True Faith
2. And some of you have taken hold of the Covenant unto inner sanctification and have been greatly blessed and enlarged, yea, and your baskets are beginning to fill with the plenty of the spiritual Zion.
Revilers of Authority
3. But others, having been made free, have sought to revile the servants God, yea, for ye slay their integrity in your hearts because they reveal your sins, and ye will not hearken unto them, nor unto the Father who hath inspired them (2 Pet.2:10).
4. Whatsoever ye do unto My servants ye do unto Me, saith the Lord, and for such {you} it will not go well.
5. Unto the children of the Covenant I, the Lord, give the freedom to act and to choose for themselves.
Do Not Abuse Your Freedom in Christ
6. And they, supposing they are great ones, begin to abuse the privileges I give unto them, slandering the humble and contrite because they {the humble} will not yield unto their childish [and carnal] desires, nor follow their immature ways.
7. I have given you much freedom but ye have not always taken responsibility for that freedom.
8. Therefore some I have chastened, hoping they would see the error of their ways and be humble, but they have not.
9. They have not borne their stripes nor put aside childish robes, and must therefore be punished like all rebellious children.
Satanic Devices
10. And behold, they hearken unto the craftiness of Satan, who whispereth into their ears, saying: "Hearken not unto these men and women, for they are not meek and humble as they ought to be, but they lift up their voices and are harsh, and know not the true order of love."
11. And many who are spiritual children are led away captive by such sayings, and soon that which was good and noble in them turneth into darkness, for they will not confess their offence against the Light.
Listen to Instruction
12. Thus saith the Lord: hearken unto My instruction that ye may be taught sound doctrine (Prov.13:13), for that which is sound shall stand and shall bear witness of itself on account of its righteousness.
13. There are some who suppose they have thrown off the garments of spiritual childhood, and that they are now spiritual parents.
14. Verily, verily, saith the Lord, the spiritual fathers and mothers are of one spirit, and the spiritual sons and daughters are of another.
Parable of the Spiritual Son and Father
15. There was once a spiritual son who sought to learn the ways of the Kingdom.
16. And one day his brother came unto him, reviling him, and speaking all manner of falsehood unto him.
17. And the spiritual son was greatly offended in his heart, yea, even so much as his heart began to wax cold toward his brother.
18. And there was once a spiritual father who was becoming the Kingdom by an upright walk, one who knew the ways of the Firstborn. And one day his brother came unto him, reviling him, and speaking all manner of falsehood unto him.
19. But the spiritual father was not offended, but counselled him, and clothed his brother with a mantle of charity.
20. Yea, and the heart of the spiritual father waxed greater in love for his brother, and he wept many tears for him.
21. And he was inspired to serve him the more.
Discerning the Sons and Fathers
22. By this key ye may know who are of the Firstborn and who are not; and who are the spiritual sons and daughters, and who are the spiritual fathers and mothers of Zion.
Love Your Enemies
23. I have commanded you to love your enemies, but if ye cannot love those who wrong you within the fellowship, how can ye love your enemies?
24. And if ye love not your enemies, then ye are not of Me, but of that lesser {incomplete} Law which I gave through My servant Moses.
25. Truly it is a hard thing for a man or woman to cross the veil that separateth the old Aaronic Law from the new Melchizedek Law1, and few there are who do so.
Qualifications of Elders and Eldresses
26. Yea, and there are many who have been called to be Elders and Eldresses in the Order of Enoch who are yet unable to love even those who wrong or offend them in their own fellowship.
27. Such cannot remain in their Priesthood office but must lose it inwardly.
28. Behold, is it right that a child governeth a nation, even one who know- eth not the ways of government, but who is immature and childish?
29. Therefore why do ye suppose that such a one should govern in the House of God?
30. Verily, verily, I say unto you: such a thing is impossible, unless ye choose to turn away from your God and follow after your own inclinations, building a church in your own image and not in the image of the Christ.
Children Take Offence Easily
31. Sons and daughters are easily offended, but fathers and mothers have grown beyond offence for they understand all things.
32. Yea, and a child is offended because it understandeth not, and is immature and undevelloped in the art of loving.
Too Proud to Repent
33. Such require much skillful and patient teaching until they can cast aside the garments of the old Aaronic Law and step into the garments of the new, even the Melchizedek.
34. But many, being offended, and are too proud to repent, will go their own way, and shall be angered in their hearts like a child who is chastised and will not endure correction.
Governing the House of God
35. Such cannot govern in the House of God and must be removed until they are worthy and are able to love in accordance with the Light of that level.
36. Let there be a fuller repentance in the New Covenant, saith the Lord, that all things may be made equal, for there are still many in high and holy offices who have not arisen into them, and cannot arise into them until they have reformed their childish behaviour.
37. And if they will not reform, then others shall come in who are more worthy, and will bear the banner of Zion honourably.
A House of Unity, Holiness and Love
38. The House of Yahweh {Jehovah} is not a divided House but is a House of Unity, Holiness and Love2.
39. Therefore seek after these things with all diligence, cease to complain and murmur against My servants and to speak evil of them.
40. For in the manner in which ye judge shall ye also be judged (Mt.7:1-2);
41. And in the manner in which ye show mercy3, shall ye also be shown mercy (Mt.5:7).
42. And this is according to the justice and mercy of heaven.
A Pastor and Pastress in Each Congregation
43. Now hearken unto the Lord your God who desirth to pour a blessing upon Zion and to bring her closer to the Holy Order.
44. Hearken and be obedient and I shall take you towards a fuller endowment of love.
45. It is expedient that there should be a Father and Mother of each local Colony of My Church.
46. And for this cause have I called male and female Pastors, to act together in unity, holiness and love, bringing down the image of the Godhead in every solemn assembly of the saints (Mt.23:37).
47. Let all the saints honour and reverence the spiritual fathers and mothers of Zion, for this day shall I call forth thosewho are worthy and have been tried in fire.
48. This is the Word of the Lord unto the saints at this time, until I speak again. Even so. Amen.
