Section 163
On Blood Atonement
The doctrine of the blood atonement of Jesus Christ lies at the heart of the Christian faith. Through the shed blood of the Messiah on the Cross, the Christian may obtain a forgiveness of his sins through faith. The Old Testament rituals of animal sacrifice were designed by God to remind people of the seriousness of sin and to point them to the Last Great Sacrifice in the person of His Son. Blood is a symbol of physical life. What redeems fallen man from sin is the death of God-in-the-flesh. God entered a physical body in the form of a man, Jesus of Nazareth, and offered His Life as the penalty for man's sin, thus satisfying the demands of justice. Therefore a man does not need to pay for his own sins, as the false religions of the world teach, but can accept the free pardon of Christ through repentance from dead works and faith in the Name of Jesus. Muslims teach that everyone who dies goes directly to hell where his sin is purged out of him, those who have sinned less leaving hell more quickly. Hindus teach that a man must progressively pay for his sins over millions of years through successive reincarnations. Christianity, by contrast, teaches that Christ has paid for man's sins already and all he has to do is receive Christ as his personal Saviour. The revelation that follows reaffirms the biblical doctrine and warns of any non-biblical writing that purports to come before the time of Christ which does not teach the necessity of animal sacrifice. Many false New Age "gospels" are in circulation which deny this doctrine and may immediately be marked down as false on this basis alone [Atlantic Ocean, between London and New York].
1. Q. By what standard or key may we judge writings pre-dating Christ? How may we know whether they are true or not?
2. A. Thus saith the Lord: the grand key pertaining to that which thou asketh lieth in the blood;
3. For everything is cleansed by blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Heb.9:22).
The Blood is Life
4. The blood is the life1; for this cause did I, the Lord, shed My blood to abolish sin once and for all (Heb.9:28).
5. From the time of Abel and Cain the evil one hath sought to destroy this key and turn men and women from the Great Atonement;
Cain's False Offering
6. For this cause did Satan inspire Cain to offer up the fruit of the field.
7. And the enemy hath also played upon the natural revulsion of man toward the shedding of blood, saying that the God who required this in days past was a cruel and terrible God.
The Terribleness of Sin
8. Verily, verily, I say unto you, that sin is cruel and terrible, and because mankind hearkened unto the devil, it was requisite that the Son of Man pay a cruel and terrible price, even the shedding of His own blood.
9. It is right that a man should be revolted by the shedding of blood, for verily, I, the Lord, delight not in the shedding of blood, neither today nor in days past.
10. And all true servants of God hate the shedding of blood.
The Law of Justice Must be Answered
11. Nevertheless it is requisite with the Law of Justice that a punishment fit the crime, and the medicine the illness, otherwise God would be a partial God and His love would be imperfect.
The Physician and His Patient
12. Doth the physician merit the wrath of a patient because his medicine tasteth bad or causeth pain?
13. Nay, for if the man is cured, then his wrath is unjustified.
14. When he is healed he rejoiceth, and no longer remembereth the pain.
15. Those who receive My blood no longer remember the sacrifices of old but rejoice in that which hath made them free.
16. And if ye are free, ye will receive Me, for the shedding of blood is done away with and man may now enter the Sanctuary of the Lord's Presence.
On Pre-Christian Scriptures
17. All scriptures given of Me before the work of the Cross will testify of the necessity of blood for the forgiveness of sin, whether it be according to the preparatory Law of Moses or according to the Abrahamic Covenant and the Patriarchs.
18. Behold, if no blood sacrifices were required, and if man could achieve perfection under the former {Old} Covenant, then why did the Son of Man come unto the earth and offer Himself a sacrifice for sin?
False Gospels Deny or Ignore Blood Sacrifice
19. Behold, all false gospels and writings deny the doctrine of blood atonement for they are patterned after the lie of Cain by which Satan sought to lead the whole human family away from redemption.
20. That which the Father decreeth, Satan opposeth, even if he {Satan} contradicteth himself.
Blood Sacrifices Not Needed Today
21. For he {Satan} even causeth some [Christians] to offer animal sacrifices at the Passover, thereby denying My workupon the Cross and rejecting the infinite sacrifice of God2.
22. Unto such can no forgiveness come [if they so continue], for they deny that which would have saved them.
The Patriarchs Offered Animal Sacrifice
23. Ye need not suppose that those of the Firstborn were absolved from the law of animal sacrifice, for even your father Adam offered sacrifice, he being the Patriarch over the whole human family.
24. These things I have told you before, and ye should by now understand.
The Lord's Supper
25. Did I not tell you that it was necessary to eat My flesh and drink My blood in order that ye might be saved? (Jn.6:56-58)
26. The ignorant and unspiritual have never understood this saying, perceivingit through carnal eyes, supposing all manner of obscenity and inventing ridiculous doctrines.
27. Listen to what I say, for I say nothing save My Father hath commanded Me.
28. They who scorn the words of the Son of Man shall be scorned by My Father.
29. And though they claim Me to be their own, yet I will disown them, for they follow a Christ after their own imaginings.
Do Not Deny the Blood of Propritiation
30. Woe unto those who deny the blood of propritiation3, for they cannot be saved, but must go to that place wherein no redemption can be made.
31. And woe unto them who continue to shed the blood of beasts according to the pattern of the preparatory {Old} Covenant, for unto them it will be as though no New Covenant was made.
32. He who is faithful shall receive his reward and shall know My teachings;
The Rebellious Deny God's Word
33. But the rebellious and the reprobate4 shall deny My Word, and shall not be covered [by the blood of propriation].
34. See that ye are true in all things, teaching the correct points of My doctrine and not excusing yourselves because of vanity.
35. Follow the true Way, and depart not from it, and ye shall be cleansed, every whit {completely}.
36. This is the path of true joy, and happy is the man who findeth it. Amen.
