To a Hesitant Disciple
The following revelation, which has been abridged, illustrates the tensions, sorrows and tribulations that come when a disciple cannot unreservedly give his life wholly to the Kingdom. The woman in question had come to the Church with many false expectations, added to which were the problems of a failing marriage. She in many ways symbolises mankind struggling with the conflicts caused by the demands made by human nature and those of the Spirit. Despite choosing the way of the world, there is yet hope of a restoration and a happier day in the salvation of Christ when the lessons of sin have been learned [Oppsal, Oslo, Norway].
The Cry of the Lost Sinner
1. Thou, O little hart, hath longed for flowing streams, for thy soul hath thirsted for Me, to be with Me.
2. Thou hast said: "When shall I behold the face of My Redeemer?" and thou hast waited with longing as the bride awaiteth the bridegroom.
3. Let not thy tears be thy food by day and by night, neither let thy soul be cast down.
The Night of Sorrow Will Pass
4. For the night of sorrow shall pass away and I shall bring in a brighter day.
5. Thou shalt again praise1 Me but this time in the fullness of thy soul.
To Know God Again
6. Thou shalt again know Me, but this time as I really am.
7. I am the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son -- behold, I shall reveal the Father unto thee.
The Deep Calls
8. The Deep {Christ} calleth unto the deep {the heart of the spirit} for the shallow {superficial religion} shall be no more.
9. I am the Deep, and I am the Height, and I am calling that which is best inthee, to lay aside childish robes and enter, in days to come, into the Priesthood of the fathers.
10. For thou wast called to be a mother unto My people Israel, and unto this calling thou shalt arise if thou givest place unto Me as thy Lord and Saviour always, that I may work anew in thee and reshape thy inner vessel.
11. This shall not be in a day, My daughter, but after many burnings.
Steadfast Love
12. I desire thy steadfast love;
13. By day thou shalt praise Me, and at night My song shall be within thee, that thy life may be a prayer that hath neither beginning nor end.
Competing Loves
14. But first, O daughter of Jerusalem, thou wilt deny Me, for thy love for thy husband will be greater than thy love for Me.
15. Yea, thou wilt lay Me on the altar of sacrifice and excuse thyself because thou wilt not receive My doctrine, which is verily of Me.
The Price of Denial
16. And because thou wilt deny the Light, the Light will diminish within thee, and thou wilt be left to kick against the pricks.
17. A sword will pierce thy heart and thou wilt receive contempt instead of love.
18. Behold, thou hast done this before, for thou wast willing to sacrifice what thou once supposed to be My Gospel for the sake of thy husband2.
God is Near the Broken-Hearted
19. I, the Lord, am near to the broken- hearted, and save the crushed in Spirit after the long dark night of repentance.
20. Many are the afflictions of those who deny Me, even as Peter, but after the tribulation and the learned lessons of sin cometh the day of restoration.
21. Thou wilt cross the Great Deep {ocean} in search of thy god but thou wilt not find him.
22. And when thou hast wandered within the loneliness of thy soul and repented of thine idolatry, behold, the door will be opened for thee to return.
23. What is ended is ended, and thou shalt behold and understand.
Christ Makes You Free
24. I have called thee to be made free, to minister unto the afflicted and climb Mount Zion, to receive all the keys of the House of the Lord.
25. Though thy radiance shall depart, and though thou shalt be ashamed of Me for a season, thou shalt return to behold My face and the radiance thereof, and thy face shall not be ashamed longer.
26. Thou wilt taste and see that the Lord thy God is good and His doctrine true, and thou shalt not lack.
Return to the Lord
27. Return unto the House of the Lord, little lamb, for I desire to reveal Myself unto thee in the fullness of the Holy Covenant.
28. Taste, and see that the Lord thy God is good, and thou shalt never lack.
29. Come unto Me and unto the land of running waters.
30. Delay not, for the doors of the house of the Bridegroom shall not always be opened but must close for the Feast of the Lamb. Even so. Amen.
