    Section 124

    The Ministry of a Prophet

Whereas previous revelations had explained what kind of a person a prophet had to be, that which follows explains how a prophet is to minister to others. Because we cannot always repent of all our sins at once, this knowledge is partitioned, thus allowing us to work with different problems at different times. A prophet must be sensitive to this fact and not overwhelm a person by revealing everything indiscriminately. Repentance, like salvation, is a process, the pace being a function of each individual rather than a general norm that all must follow. Man has his cycles and seasons in which he is best able to repent and receive God's grace. If he procrastinates his repentance he may have to wait for another favourable time or strive much harder in working out his salvation (Phil.2:12). Though prophets must smash down illusions and expose sin, their ultimate call is edification; no saint of God smashes down without also building up afterwards. Prophets must work within their limits, not overstepping their bounds. Knowledge can lead to conceit and a fall if not grounded in humility. Prophets, as human beings, have weaknesses, and fallen man is an easy prey to unscrupulous, false prophets. True knowledge is a good shield against deception. This revelation is equally applicable to prophetesses. Christ is the Way [Århus, Denmark].

    1. Q. Why are all the sins and faults of a person not revealed at once so that he can make a quick reformation?

    2. A. Because he would not be able to bear such knowledge, saith the Lord, and it would destroy him.

    3. The prophet that worketh in the Spirit and power of Elijah according to the Enochian Law knoweth these things and is goverened by the intelligence of Heaven.

    4. Thou thyself knowest, My son, that too much Light can consume and destroy, and it is for this cause that the Heavens are divided inwardly and outwardly.

    5. Each man abideth the level of Light that enableth him to wrestle with his sins and to overcome them by the grace of Christ.

    6. The Light [of Christ] hath been partitioned by the Father, and bordersaffixed, out of mercy, for Satan seeketh to overwhelm by sin, that a man hath not power to arise out of darkness.

    7. By this means are the sons of Perdition kept captive by Satan.

    Repentance is a Process

    8. As a man repenteth1 of his sins, degree by degree, or greater if he hathgreat faith, I, the Lord, open new doors for him that a greater portion of Light may flow into his soul.

    9. And this Light both sanctifieth him and revealeth other sins that in his previous state -- before he repented -- he would never have been able to comprehend, or wrestle with.

    Seasons to Repent

    10. But if a man repenteth not at the season he is given opportunity to do so, a portion of the Light withdraweth until he can no longer see nor comprehend the sin he ought to have repented of.

    11. Such a one hath procrastinated his repentance and must labour longer in seeking for [full] salvation.

    12. For this cause people progress at different rates.

    Prophets Edify

    13. All true prophets are edifiers and creators in imitation of the Son of Man, and though they often behold the sins of others on account of the Light they have, they also withhold themselves, being subject to the spirit of the prophets (1 Cor.14:32), revealing in proportion to what the sinner is able to comprehend and work with.

    Prophets Work Within Their Limits

    14. And if he goeth beyond his limits, revealing that which should not be revealed, he defileth his Priesthood and can become the instrument of much harm.

    15. For this cause have I established the Schools of the Prophets in the Holy Order that they may be trained, by knowledge, power and keys, to administer the same in wisdom and prudence.

Knowledge Can Lead to a Fall

    16. Behold, knowledge and keys can also lead to a fall, saith the Lord, lifting a man up in his pride, causing him to boast of his powers in order to receive the praises of men and to get gain.

    17. Such should greatly beware, for such defile their Priesthood and cannot stand.

    18. A true prophet withholdeth him- self until I, the Lord, command him to speak.

    Weaknesses of Prophets

    19. Yet there are also other things prophets whithhold when they ought to have spoken; and this they do out of fear or lack of self-confidence.

    20. And the more wicked ones do so in order to excite the curiosity of those hungering after truth, revealing unto them but tiny crumbs of knowledge.

    21. By this means they keep the people starving and bring them into their power, exercising unrighteous dominion by subtle and cunning means.

    22. And the people uphold them, supposing they will receive more [truth] by the by; but they are disappointed.

    23. Such a prophet seeketh to possess and not share, for the sake of gain;

    24. A true prophet withholdeth only to protect those whom he loveth, and not to get again.

    25. By this key ye shall learn to discern between the prophets, whether they be of Me or not.

    26. Yea, there are some who have no knowledge or keys at all, and they impart crumbs only because they have nothing more to give.

Fallen Man an Easy Prey to False Prophets

    27. Verily, the spirit of man is desperately confused in the world, and he hath become a prey unto many false prophets who have no knowledge unto salvation.

    28. I have given you many keys in the revelations, and in the old scriptures {Bible}, that ye may discern these wicked ones;

    29. Therefore be diligent in applying them, and ye shall in no wise be deceived.

    30. Many of the good and noble have become the victims of unscrupulous false prophets and teachers, even they of the House of Israel, for which cause the Heavens weep.

    True Knowledge Prevents Deception

    31. Give them the keys of knowledge that they may be saved, being freed from the bondage of false apostles and prophets [that they may] come unto Me, their only eternally true and living Prophet and Teacher2.

    Christ is the Way

    32. I am the only Way, saith the Lord, and those who teach otherwise shall be exposed and condemned, for there is but one God, and one Mediator in Heaven and on earth, the Lord Jesus Christ, even He who speaketh unto you now.

    33. This is the greatest key of all, and happy is the man who findeth it. Even so. Amen.
