    Section 97

    Usury is an Abomination

    Revelation on Usury, the lending of money with interest. This evil practice, which plays an important rôle in modern capitalism and is the basis of many nations' economies, originated in Babylon, and has been used throughout history as a means by which governments and individuals have brought people into bondage. It will have no place in the Millennial Kingdom. It is condemned both in the Bible and in this timely revelation. A portion of the revelation dealing with a particular denomination has been omitted [Frogner, Oslo, Norway].

    1. Thus saith the Lord unto the saints of the New Covenant: usury is an abomination and is like unto robbery with violence, or adultery.

    2. Therefore the saints shall not lend money unto each other and charge interest, for shall the man of God take the food from the mouths of the poor?

    3. Until ye practice the United Order wherein all may be equal, and so long as I have called you into the world, ye shall bless the poor according to your ability and deal justly, but ye shall not give them your money upon usury (Dt.23:19-20; Ex.22:25; Lev.35-37).

    The Restoration of Money Taken by Usury

    4. If any have charged interest let them restore it unto those from whom they have taken, whether in substance or in kind, it mattereth not1 (Neh.5:3,6-7, 10-11).

    5. Zion cannot be built up upon the principle of usury, and if any man or woman is in bondage to usury he shall not abide in the Holy Mountain, nor in the congregation of the Firstborn (Ps.15:1,5).

    6. Ye shall not be in bondage to Babylon in any degree, nor receive her mark, and shall not bow to usury, even if men curse you for it (Jer.15:10).

    7. Thou shalt neither give forth upon usury, nor take any increase; he who doeth this shall be called just and shall live, being made free both spiritually and temporally (Ezek.18:8-13).

    8. Babylon is the daughter of usury and by this means bringeth the children of men into bondage, destroying the weak and the poor. National Bondage to Usury

    9. And behold, the rich nations have brought the poorer nations under the bondage of usury, extorting them and tempting them with that which they neither need nor have toiled for.

    10. And thus I, the Lord, have cursed these nations -- the rich nations for bringing the poorer ones into bondage, and the poorer ones because of their greed.

    Exploitation of Citizens

    11. Where is there a righteous government, saith the Lord, that hath regard for the poor, and hath not been corrupted by gold and silver?

    12. Yea, the governments of many poor countries have dealt treacherously against their citizens, behaving as fathers robbing their children of bread;

    13. And those who have dealt unjustly shall be burned and receive the punish- ment of an indignant and offended God.

    14. Some governments are more right- eous than others, saith the Lord, but all have brought themselves under the power of the evil one on account of usury.

    15. There are some who blasphem- ously declare that I, the Lord, am a usurer, seeking thereby to justify their iniquities by wresting the scriptures (Mt. 25:14-30; Lk.19:12-27).

    16. Such are the children of hell for they declare God to be a robber and a thief.

    God Does Not Rob the Poor

    17. Know ye this, that the Lord your God is a just God who taketh not the bread from the mouths of mothers and children, but hath regard for the poor; and when they are humble, He blesseth them spiritually also.

    18. I am the God of the poor, whether they be poor in spirit {humble} or the flesh {financially};

    19. And I am the God of the rich2 if they are humble also, and impart their substance unto the poor.

    20. For this cause they are made rich, if they have accumulated their increase by righteous means, that they might be a blessing unto the poor, making equal that which is unequal, and thereby bringing to pass, in token and in substance, the Kingdom of God on earth.

    21. He that is generous with his riches is also generous in heart, giving but expecting nothing in return, even as I have taught you.

    Be Wise Stewards of Your Money

    22. Nevertheless let all be wise stew- ards, acting upon the Word of God always, for it may be when a man is too generous to one person that he is depriv- ing another at the same moment; and this is unequal.

    23. Let all employ the intelligence of heaven, neither serving the children ofimmorality nor taking the food from the mouths of their own children.

    24. Verily, verily, saith the Lord: the increase of the usurer shall be taken from him and shall be given unto the poor.

    25. Let the saints labour with their hands for their increase and thus serve mankind, not exploiting through usury or by other means.

    26. He who hath laboured not with his talent, but who burieth it, shall have it taken away and given into him who toileth by the sweat of his brow, that he might administer it for the sake of the poor.

    New Covenant Judges in Israel

    27. I have raised up the New Covenant, that they might become the judges and government of this people both in the last days and in the days when the Kingdom of Heaven cometh down and the earth abideth her thousand years rest.

    28. Let those who are called to govern be governed, else how shall they arise into their high and holy calling?

    29. Let the saints learn discipleship and servanthood, for of such is the Government of the Firstborn made.

    30. But if they will not learn they shall not govern, but the government shall be given unto a more worthy and humble people.

    31. Flee from usury3 as ye become able, laying not again the foundation of such, but uprooting yourselves therefrom that ye may be free indeed. Amen.
