    Section 84

    On True and False Prophets

This is a general revelation about the qualifications of the true prophet and what to watch out for in false ones. One self-proclaimed false prophet had gained admission into the Church and tried to convert the people to the false New Age "Gospel of the Holy Twelve" and the occultic teachings of Immanuel Swedenborg, claiming many spurious revelations and visions, and teaching many non-Biblical doctrines like reincarnation (see NC&C 155). He showed little interest in Christian discipleship and was eventually removed from the Church, having failed to convert the people to his doctrines. Another self-styled and false New Age-inspired American prophet, who though never a member of the Church, had persuaded two earlier members to commit acts of adultery and fornication before the Church relocated to Norway, and was exposed in this revelation (v.26-29) and in others which are possessed by the Holy Order. At a time when there are many false prophets in the world teaching strange and often blasphemous doctrines, and indulging in all manner of wickedness, this revelation comes as a timely reminder to remain true to the Biblical pattern. The keys for identifying a true prophet. There are many kinds of prophet. Special temptations to avoid. The prophetic walk is a long, hard and usually painful discipline. The spirit of prophecy is to be poured out in abundance in the last days. Deceptive doctrines of false prophets to watch out for. Satan seeks to discredit the atoning work of the Cross [Oppsal, Oslo, Norway].

    1. Hearken ye people who declare: "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets" (Amos 3:7) for ye often wrest {twist, distort, pervert} the Scriptures and understand them not.

    2. And there are many who claim to be prophets but who walk after the imag-inings of their own hearts, for they have neither stood in the counsel of the Lord. nor perceived and heard His Word (Jer.23:18).

The Keys for Identifying a True Prophet

    3. For a prophet is one who hath stood in the Heavenly Council, even the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, before the throne of God, and the host of Heaven standing by Him on His right hand and on His left hand (1 Ki.22:19).

    4. These are they who received their calling and anointing before the world was, whom the Father of Lights foreordained and sanctified therefor (Jer.1: 4-5).

    5. These are the prophets after the Order of the Patriarchs whom I, the Lord, send down to bring the erring sons and daughters of men to repentance and to wage war against darkness.

    6. These are they who cannot withhold the voice of warning because they are filled with the love of Christ in behalf of their brethren.

    7. They neither boast nor glory in their high and holy calling for they know their own weakness and from what they were born {the dust of the earth}.

    8. These are they who, if called, will return to the obscurity from which they came, desiring not to lord it over their brethren nor any of the children of men.

    9. These are they who are perfected in the Word, knowing the doctrine, dealing justly and mercifully with all men, for they are servants like unto the Son of Man.

    10. And behold, no task is too small or menial for them.

    11. These are they who are willing to suffer any indignity or pain for the sake of those whom they love, neither murmuringnor flinching at sorrow and disappointment, but always pressing on, for they have the vision of the Kingdom and always desire its consummation in their hearts.

    12. Verily some fall, saith the Lord, for if a prophet seeketh after his own will and the lusts of the world in any degree his gift is taken from him, and he shall fall.

There are Many Kinds of Prophet

    13. And behold, there are prophets and prophetesses after lesser Orders, for any man or woman who hath the testimony of Jesus hath the spirit of prophecy (Rev.19:10) and hath begun his or her ascent into the Light.

    14. And there are prophets after the Order of Zadok (Deacons) and prophets after the Order of Enoch (Elders), each according to his degree of sanctification.

    15. These are the Sons (and Daughters) of the Prophets (1 Ki.4:38), who re- ceive instruction in the School of the Prophets that they might be perfected in their ministry.

    Temptations to Avoid

    16. Seek not after signs and miracles for these things shall follow those who have faith, whose hearts are set on the ministry and not self-gratification.

    17. For verily if ye seek after signs, and visions, and miracles, the Tempter shall enter in and deceive you, puffing you up in your pride unto vain-glory and arrogance.

    18. There are some who seek to be prophets because they desire the gifts of the prophets to consume upon their lusts, and neither know nor understand the sacrifices and sufferings that these, the servants of God, must make and undergo.

    19. And on account of their unwillingness to sacrifice and be obedient unto every Word of God, many false prophets have arisen, sowing confusion in the souls of men from their own confused minds and hearts.

    20. Unto such cometh the indignation and wrath of an offended God unless they repent and learn humility.

The Prophetic Walk is a Long and Hard Discipline

    21. No man became a father before he was a son, saith the Lord, and therefore no man can become a prophet until he is grounded in the elementary principles of the Gospel and hath learned obedience [to God];

    22. Else he will be as unstable as water, being tossed to and fro by every wind of change, until he is cast upon the rocks of his own folly and smashed.

    23. And unless he is filled with the pure love of Christ, having his heart drawn out towards all men, having crucified his will for the sake of the will of God, he is nothing, and a profitless servant.

    24. Therefore let all those who seek to be prophets beware, for a man cannot seek after this calling, but God shall call him, and ordain him, and set him apart for the work. Amen.

    25. There are many false prophets in the world: go ye not after them but seek the living Christ.

    A False and Treacherous Prophet

    26. There is one prophet who hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel; for he hath profaned the holiness of the Lord which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.

    27. The Lord will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar -- him that walketh and him that answereth -- out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the Lord of Hosts.

    28. And this he hath done again, covering the altar of the Lord with the tears, and the weeping, and the crying out of the righteous, insomuch as he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at his hands.

    29. Therefore he shall be cut off, and all those who enter into his mystery, unless they speedily repent and lay hold of the true God of Israel, putting aside the daughter of the strange god, who hath deceived them with a very great deception. Amen.

The True Spirit of Prophecy to be Poured Forth

    30. The day cometh again when the Lord God of Israel shall pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, that those who are of the House of Israel shall know it and speedily separate themselves from among the wicked (Joel 2:28).

    31. And behold, this pouring forth shall be done by the grace and will of God without regard for the works of any man, for I, the Lord, am not limited or controlled by the actions of any man.

    32. What I, the Lord, declare, I shall do, for all power is Mine, for I am the Omnipotent One.

    Disbelief, Profanity and Deception

    33. And if any man saith unto you that the Lord cannot work these things save through that man, or through this church, mark him down as an imposter and false prophet, for can the created control the Creator?

    34. There is much vanity and deceit in many who profess to believe in My Name, for they would liken the Son of Man unto other gods, boasting that without them the Son of Man would not gain the victory.

    35. But these profaners know not that I, the Lord God, have already won the victory, for I triumphed over all evil upon the Cross (1 Cor.15:54-55,57; 1 John 5:4), and must only await the consummation of history that all men might be born and work out their salvation in this world.

    36. And behold, Satan knoweth this, and with his craftiness seeketh to deceive the elect, declaring unto them that the Son of Man hath won no victory; and thereby he causeth them to disbelieve the Atonement.

Satan Seeks to Discredit the Atonement

    37. And when a man disbelieveth the Atonement1, and is not centred in it, he is easily deceived, and the devil worketh much destruction in him, though he knoweth it not.

    38. And behold, he who hath been deceived supposeth that he is yet in Me, and I in him, on account of his love for Me;

    39. But he is cut off from that anchor {the Atonement} and must begin to drift away from the [true] Light, feign though he would struggle to remain in it.

    40. And thus all false doctrine severeth a man from his Christ and his Priesthood, and the adversary shall slowly lead him away even while he is singing praises and honour to his Saviour.

    41. Therefore beware, ye children of Light, for ye understand not the great craftiness and power of the devil, who knoweth that his last hour hath come, andwho roameth the earth seeking to despoil and destroy.

    42. I am the Lord, and all power is Mine, and what I say shall be done, without regard for the works of man.

    43. Restore ye the true God in your hearts and no longer go awhoring after idols after the pattern of the fallen hearts and minds of man. Even so. Amen.
