    The Meal of the Righteous

I hope Mac will not mind me sharing a post he used elsewhere which I have been looking at again as we approach Sukkot. He raises some very interesting questions which I think merit further examination.

The marriage supper of the Lamb has differing contours from the feast of the Bride and may give a clue as to earthly and heavenly fulfilments of a central event. In a prophetic sense the bridal feast occurs over several days which could be something over 2,000 in the 1 day as a thousand years hermeneutic given for understanding these things. But in the heavenly perspective there is no past vs present yet in order to communicate pictures to us the language is interpreted as having tense in english. In hebrew there is perfect (complete) prophetic perfect ( IF Yhwh said it is accorded as done) and imperfect. This is the key to unravelling many eschatological mysteries.

Now Orthodoxy has a meal of the righteous that helps us comprehend this perfect tense rendered in two temporally contradictory enviroments. The last meal of pesach according to the BESHT ( Baal Shem Tov) has the prevailing Yisrael feasting on a meal of Leviathon at the end of Sukkot but a similar meal in the 3rd meal at the end of Pesach. In Tehiyyat Hametim by Harry Sysling on pg 59 ; " Whoever participates in the preparations (of the wedding) will participate in the banquet" Shevitt 4:8 35c he also reminds us; "The meal of the Great Day (notice for Yisrael it is a great day for the world it is a terrible day thus the Great AND Terrible day of Yhwh)or meal of Leviathon" is accompanied with "old wine" which means grapes from the beginning of creation Tg Shir 8:2.

Mat 8:11 mirrors the Merkavah action of the 4 directions gathered to Luke 22:29-30 at His table. Whereas before in the days of men ( the 2 1/2 days the witness were in exile/dead, few came, some were so foolish they had no oil when the call arrived. So how to wise up the foolish ones who show up with no oil? This is where the teaching of the shulcan aruch converges with the newly vestured guests. In sumary of a very long shiur this is the place where the mitzvot are performed. Where everything becomes an act of bestowal for the benefit of others. Our lives fully consecrated to recieving the fullest Torah where even the troubles of Job are considered gain. This is where chaos/leviathon is consumed as nourishment at the table of Y'shua and turned something tov.

Both houses have parts of this picture, could this be the path of blessing that can end suffering and strife? Consider the phases of a betrothal, 1st the contract (Sinai), the bride price ( calvary) then the feast where the night time arrival of the Groom collects the ready bride and bridesmaids to march triumphally to the place prepared. Undeniably this process is mostly occured over a much longer period than dispensationalists account for. Most revealing is the end where the final conflict occurs in a very primitive setting, at least by this age's standards of warfare. Consider: http://www.homesteaderlife.christianagrarian.com/postmillenialism-a...
the expected result we talk of even now of recieiving the blessed lifestyle. But more over, the meal of the righteous is an operational term for operating in the gifting of the Ruach HaKodesh over the 2,000 plus year period while Y'shua is away, to literally be born from above in Orthodox nomenclature. So we have a covergence of events, my hope is for us to start feasting at this meal today. Shall we consider this matter more fully?

    Summary

The operation of Torah in our lives is intended not to be a mere outward observancey. But an internal transformation. The path from condemned creature to being with the Creator is what Torah is intended for and Y'shua accomplishes accordingly. This spiritual transformation is likened to the condition of a guest being fed at a table of an unseen host. The natural tendencey is for a guest to recieve very modestly perhaps even feeling shame that they have nothing in return for the host. However, at the table of Messiah, it is made known to us that the more we recieve the more it pleases the Master. This is a state known as recieiving for the sake of bestowal, or freely giving as we have freely recieved. So shame and guilt are removed and a motive for pleasing the host is to be our new nature.

In the matter of daily living this is a metric we must employee in order to know how to walk according to what we may recieve. Just as we have the sensations of taste and pleasure and satisfaction we need to develop sensations according to the will of the Host. Our lives become vessels where we measure our ability to recieve in order to give, everything becomes an organic process of fulfilling the 2 greatest commandments. In so doing we embrace a path of blessing and joy counting all things as good since we know that they all come from our Creator who can only do good for us.

This precessional approach nullifies any potential of the h. s. tan to carry out any operation against Abba or ourselves because we have transformed our beast nature into one that resembles the image of Yhwh. This is the intention for our lives and the realization of the pure intention that defines Yisrael. In short my friends this is tangible and undeniable restoration that is here and now. Part of the materialism that plagues the modern kirche is found in the WW1 era theology that overtook the more spiritual approach that had prevailed since the pre-nicean era. Premil, pretrib theology is less than 100 yrs old and is the major culprit for the kirche supposing to supplant the promises to Yisrael. The desire it perverts is the true desire for restoration by exiled Ephraim. To unravel the theology is to make clear a path in the wilderness for restoration.

One of the most exciting aspects it the return of those things Y'shua said His followers would work in the world that would exceed His own. Keep in mind the apostle tells us the things He did if written down could not be contained in all the books in all the world. So is it just a pipe dream to have a theology that dares to anticipate such things? If this precept is true then what is the motive for the late ideas of Y'shua coming back to do what He might as well have done already? Perhaps the point is to restore a people who by His Spirit accomplish what is purposed for them? Just some ideas that came up in the process of deconstructing the rapture theory and the potential harm it has done in inculcating indolencey among the faithful.

None of this is to be construed as condemnation of any goodwill effort to comprehend what we all see darkly through the lense of corporeality. Just as at the table we partake of delicacies ( Torah of Y'shua) and transform them into pure joy for our Creator the cycle is set in motion where the abundance of heaven becomes available to us. Now it must be understood that from the heavenly perspective the delicacies themselves are of no consequence were it not for the fruit of spirituality that they are transformed into. Because our nature is merely a fleeting hologram compared to the eternal reality of the shamayim, we must remember the essential, objective and tangible nature that results from our walk. This faith fruit when produced abundantly by klal Yisrael is itself the restoration, there is nothing stopping us from moving toward this goal but our own egoistic materialism.
