    A Question About Hell

    Posted by Lev/Christopher on September 10, 2008 at 12:14pm
    in Questions & Answers

I have a question about people being let out of hell after they have been there for a time at the Cosmic Jubillee.

Yahshua said not to fear men who can only kill the body, but to fear Elohim who can kill *both* the soul and the body and hell... (Matthew 10:28). In Revelation it is described as the second death. I guess the question is, do you believe that when we were told the wages of sin is death that it truly means *death* of the *whole* soul, or just the body?

    One more question:
If people would be let out of hell after they had been there (or 'paid for their sins') for a time, why would those people need a saviour?

What I was trying to say is that we, as Westerners, are trained to think linearly and in two dimesnions. We think in terms of "either, or". Whereas the Hebrews have a much wider view of things that can, and do (when they do not contradict) embrace two apparent opposites. Thus Elohim (God) is both One and Three. We experience Him as one yet we know He is more because the Units of the Godhead talk to one another (for one thing). So distinct are they as Beings/Persons that we can blaspheme two of Their Members and be forgiven but risk not being forgiven if we blaspheme the Third (the Ruach haQodesh). Have you even wondered why? But then I think men have an understanding of this in their protectiveness of their women-folk.

The Ruachs are a bit like the seven days of the week. We speak of a singular week as we do a singular Ruach haQodesh. Yet everybody knows that there are seven days in a week. We can say that the week is sevenfold (which would be perfectly true) but at the same time we all agree that there are seven distinct days. A week is therefore both One and Seven and we can choose to count in weeks or days. Indeed, there is a direct connection between days and Ruachs since the Ruach was an active agent in the Seven Days of Creation. And the Seventh, in which Elohim rested, is a Ruach of rest and shalom. The Jews call the Sabbath a special name - "The Sabbath Queen" or the Shegal haShabbat, indirectly preserving Her gender in their traditions.

This is a deep, deep subject but one that will yield spiritual delights. If you have the time, do run through some of the sermons I have written which go into these things in more depth. The Sevenfold Nature of Man may especially interest you.
