Parable of the Farmer
How Yahweh Judges the Soul

    A Word for the Latercomers and Procrastinators

    As the 'latecomers' (to awareness of what is happening in the world and what Yahweh is doing amongst His people) begin to panic, seeing that the time is so very short, and how their procrastination has already cost them dearly, I want to share with these people especially today - but really with everyone who is listening - how Yahweh's judgments fall on the soul. It is quite wrongly assumed by some that judgment falls equally on everyone, and whilst this is true of those who forfeit their lives at such a time, it is not true of the survivors.

    Parable of the Farmer

    Isaiah's Parable of Farmer was brought to my attention yesterday and as I was meditating on it last night, I understood that the purging of souls varies in 'content' depending on the different kinds of sins we are called on to surrender and the obstacles we must overcome. Five in particular are listed:

      "Listen and hear My voice;
      pay attention and hear what I say.
      When a farmer ploughs for planting, does he plough continually?
      Does he keep on breaking up and harrowing the soil?
      When he has leveled the surface,
      does he not sow caraway and scatter cummin?
      Does he not plant wheat in its place,
      barley in its plot,
      and spelt in its field?
      His Elohim (God) instructs him
      and teaches him the right way.

      "Caraway is not threshed with a sledge,
      nor is a cartwheel rolled over cummin;
      caraway is beaten out with a rod,
      and cummin with a stick.
      Grain must be ground to make bread;
      so one does not go on threshing it forever.
      Though he drives the wheels of his threshing cart over it,
      his horses do not grind it.
      All this also comes from Yahweh-Elohim,
      wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom"

      (Isa 28:23-29, NIV).

    Measures and Purposes

    The survivors are supposed to learn lessons from judgments and apply them fruitfully to their lives. As the farmer does his different tasks, each in the right season and proportion, so Yahweh adapts His measures to His purposes: now mercy, then judgment; punishing sooner, then later. In all of this it must be continually born in mind that Yahweh's purpose was never to destroy His people any more than the farmer's object in his threshing or ploughing is to destroy His crop. As the difficulties descend and multiply in the days ahead, it is most important to remember this.

    Death Redemptive Punishment and Salvation

    Yahweh's punishment is redemptive. When people are killed, it is often to prevent them from doing worse than they already are and so spare them an even worse Final Judgment. When people are killed, especially those bent on physical murder and spiritual destruction, they may also be removed for the salvation of the living.

    Illness as Redemptive Pinishment and Salvation

    When Yahweh permits the devil to afflict a soul with illness, it may either be to silence the flesh to that he can hear the Ruach (Spirit) clearly,, humble him so that he can repent and so change direction or prevent him from harming others...or for any number of other reasons.

    Why We Aren't Told All the Reasons

    Though a navi (prophet) from time-to-time may be granted the power to discern Yahweh's purpose in afflicting another, mostly no label is affixed to the soul for others or himself to read by which we might know the reasons for Yahweh's actions. Later, perhaps, it may be revealed, and then gratitude is more likely to be forthcoming...or bitterness if the soul refuses to repent. Whatever the condition of our spirit - our attitudes - it is always because of personal choosing. Anger, bitterness and depression are not the responsibility of anyone else. Our character is of our own choosing. No one is 'born' a sinner in that sense.

    Ploughing Before Planting

    Notice how the farmer keeps ploughing and turning, and as no regular farmer keeps ploughing and turning the soil endlessly, so Yahweh gives us seasons of shaking and seasons of rest before He shakes again to give us the maximum possibility of choosing aright for our own happiness and and for His purposes. And once the ploughing is over - once the soil is fine and properly prepared as good soil capable of producing a crop - He starts planting seed.

    Fools May Yet Repent and Be Useful

    If you are a survivor and are responding to the 'tough-love heavenly surgery' by repenting and growing in godly character, He will plant seeds in the form of gifts and callings so that you may be profitable and fine satisfaction therein. No matter your previous foolishness, He can still use you if you will let Him. Once self-entitlement and self-pity - stubbornness and self-glory - are burned out of you, He will enable you to yet become what you were created for.

    The Remnant are Also Farmers

    Parents and ministers are also farmers and their schooling is in the seminary of life. Indeed, how can they instruct or possess toqef (authority) if they are not overcomers themselves? Therefore the prime quality of a parent and a minister is yieldedness to Elohim (God), receiving stripes patiently when deserved, being correctable and teachable in adversity. There will be no leaders in the Remnant - and indeed, there will be no Remnant at all - unless all the Remnant are of this mind and heart. They cannot expect to escape it. They must, to some degree, suffer alongside the mass of believers who rebell and complain, as Moses, Aaron Joshua and Caleb did, for by means of the sinful people they are also polished.

    The Need for Wisdom

    As the farmer knows what must be done to which grain and for how long, so the husband, parent or minister must have the understanding to know how different kinds of people need to be threshed. For I am sure you will have noticed - or ought to have by now - that certain kinds of threshing, which may work with one kind of person, does not always work with another. Indeed, if you are not careful, you may destroy the seed of one kind because of a lack of wisdom. That is why leadership is never given indiscriminately by Yahweh and why those who take leadership upon themselves without the divine sanction can be the means of doing much harm to the qodeshim (saints, set-apart ones).

    Yahweh's Way is Best

    Since Yahweh's way in the physical realm of farming is best, His way in spiritual real of farming is also best. Woe, therefore, to the one who uses carnal methods to do Yahweh's work! Woe to the ignorant and conceited who is not called and assumes a calling in his own authority! Woe to those who operate in the psychic, thinking and claiming it is the spiritual!

    Whole Theologies and Practices Must Perish

    Every church and ministry has to be shaken. Many will be wiped out, others shaken badly and completely reform. There can be no psychic counterfeit doctrines and practices in the Remnant. There must be a complete end to the lie of Prosperity Theology, Kingdom-Now Theology, Once Saved, Always Saved Theology and all the demonic chatter of the false tongue-speakers, whether in public or in private, along with all the false prophecies made under the same spirits.

    Legalism, Lawlessness and Idolatry Must Perish

    All legalism must perish, all lawlnessness too. Romanism and Judaism - the good-cop/bad-cop deception (and vice versa depending which 'side' you are on) have to be burned out of the Body. All idolatry - in whatever from, from churchianity, nationalism, zionism ... to selfism, egotism and existentialism - has to die. That is what the ploughing, threshing and grinding of the farmer is for. He is waiting for your will to yield to His fully. And ifyou won't yield it voluntarily, having covenanted yourself to be obedient to Him, He will use the means that best fit your character and choices.

    Conclusion

    The Heavenly Farmer makes no mistakes and though your refining and purging may seem 'unfair' and painful, it is the only way to make you into the person you have told Him you want to become. The real pain is discovering that our own efforts, and the spirits of false religion posing as Christianity, are not from Yahweh, as the "pride of life" (1 Jn.2:16, NKJV), which He hates, takes its last breath. Then you can be freed to become an authentic Remnant talmid (disciple). Amen.
