Before I went to sleep two evenings ago (about 12.30 am on 1 January) I went into prayer. As I was praying about the United States and that country's ever diminishing freedoms (thanks to their many wicked politicians, bankers, industrialists and others), Yahweh opened up a vision to me.
I saw a very large pipe, about two to three feet in diameter, that was emptying out from somewhere. The water coming out of it was clean and pure but there was not very much of it. At times it slowed to a trickle and then there was a sudden gurgling and surge and the amount of water increased only to diminish again but never completely stop.
When the vision was over, lasting no more than about 10 seconds, I knew exactly what it meant: that goodness and liberty would never be entirely cut off in that country, even though it would come close to be completely closed off, even though the enemy would attempt to do so and come close to achieving it, so long as the people stood up to what was right and fought for the truth. With all the gloom that is about, this was a piece of reassuring revelation, as many rightly look to the United States - in spite of its evils and corruptions - as one of the last beacons of liberty on the planet.
For some reason, my attention shifted to the land of Greece which was recently brought to economic ruin by the despotic masters of the European Union, the country of philosophers where many of our original notions of liberty and democracy were birthed. The moment my thoughts alighted on that country, a vision opened up to me of the ruling territorial demon there. It was very large, had strange, long, slanting, lozenge-shaped black eyes like slits almost at right-angles to each other, that fixed their hostile gaze on me. I could see that the bondage of that nation was great under this entity which it had admitted because of its sins, and that it had been there for a very, very long time.
There is no doubt that liberty as a commodity is in increasing short supply in the traditionally 'free' once Christian nations of the West. Worse, it is in danger of perishing altogether unless courageous voices are lifted up in its defence. I speak here of the right given by Yahweh to all men and women to choose what kind of lives they want to live for themselves, a right not given to tyrannical governments to choose for them. Whilst it is recognised that no human government can approach anywhere near that "perfect law of liberty" (Jas.1:25) which is in Messiah Yah'shua (Christ Jesus), each does have the divine commandment from Yahweh to rule justly and guard those freedoms.
After proclaiming the Gospel, which is the main calling of man, is the responsibity to guard and promote liberty of conscience and choice. If we don't, we will for sure lose it and usher in the last dark age quicker than anyone would probably like.
Defend your liberty!
