Authority Figures
Our Unconscious Submission to Them
It is a beautiful sunny day with clear skies - it's been like that for many days now. As I reflect on my dreams of the night I realise that they are about authority figures in my life and how easily we yield to them without thinking because it is expected in order to be accepted. And there is no doubt in my mind that demons often sit behind them. These would be of the "dominions" variety (Col.1:16, ISRV). In the educational system, in government, in philosophy, in religion - they may even come as cocktails.
What is it that makes us unconsciously defer to the authority of people or systems? We believe, first of all, that they 'have' that authority, without ever pausing to consider what spirit or power that lies behind it. It may even be a national spirit that prompts us to exalt our nation without our considering carefully what it is in that spirit that we are exalting. The use of national song in particular, but also flags, sport, and other things by which we connect to our countries, may link us directly to the whole cocktail emotionally and often a psychic channel to the ruling demonic territorial power! Before we know it, we are first giving ascent to it and then, if we are not very careful, end up worshipping it (shudders)! Whipping up nationalistic fervour is how Hitler demonised the people, not because loving ones country is wrong but because of the spirits it may be linked to. That's how Satan works - by harnassing good things to evil spirit in control [overall].
So here we are - we few, we happy few - as Harry said at the Battle of Agincourt. A tiny, precious, loyal band. This is my home. This is my country. No flags at half-mast...no surrendering here, surrounded on every side, we stem the tide in the Name, love and power of Yahweh. Blessed art Thou, Yahweh-Elohim, King of the Universe, and Lord of all, through Yah'shua Your Son. Amen.
