Romans 4
The First Principles of Deliverance
One thing I do know is that we are helpless without Yah'shua (Jesus). It is one of the revelations of true faith. And our best efforts, best intentions, or intellectual genius can never substitute for it. That much is crystal clear to me. The invisible world, like our Cosmos, is just too vast, and the longer you gaze at it, the more profoundly you realise it. And yet there is safety. The point of liberation comes when you accept that and cast your whole being into the care of El Elyon. If one is honest and truthful, one can acknowledge no other way.
We are left with three governing mandates - a triple choice, if you like:
- 1. To focus on Yahweh's power;
- 2. To recognise our weakness; and
- 3. To believe His promises.
This is the main lesson I have learned in England. It is so basic yet so easy to miss. Sometimes we disbelieve the obvious because we have been brainwashed into thinking in a gnostic mindset. We allow other things to intrude into this first level of faith and thereby undermine it. If the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to little children then obviously the conditions for entry must be comprehensible to them as well as livable by them. It's where grownups and children alike must start. It must be the foundation of our spiritual house. And that is what we must keep on teaching them...and ourselves. This being true, what a lot of junk we have to discard!
When doing deliverance ministry in future, we must start with Romans 4. If they do not accept the basics of true faith - power, weakness, promises...in the blood of Christ - deliverance will be impossible. They must be taught those things first of all.
