There is little you can do about demons until you know what you are dealing with. Some people think that knowing demons' names is important and it is true that under some circumstances this can be useful if there is a particularly strong one you want to identify before expelling him. But in nearly all cases names are not needed - there are, in any case, too many of them. Some people have thousands of demons in them, especially the victims of SRA.
Demons, like an army, are organised. They have ranks, positions and spheres of activity and influence. Knowing some of the controlling or hierarchical demons can be important, especially to the deliverance minister. Over the years I have come to know the names, behaviour and authority of many of them so that I can spot them early on. You will find listings of these demons on this website and gain some idea of their strength and position which is measured in terms of the number of legions of demons that they control (a legion being somewhere in the order of 3,000 to 6,000). Some of the more powerful demons may have as many as 30 legions (that's 180,000 demons) under their control. The nice thing is that when you cast a hierarchical demon out, all its legions go out with it. That makes life a lot simpler than casting out all the small fry functionaries. There are half as many demons in existence as there are human beings and heavenly angels - past, present, and future - which will give you some idea of the dimension of the problem worldwide. That means there are billions of them. One demon who goes by the name or category "Legion" is mentioned in the Bible (Mark 5:9; Lk.8:30).
All deliverance ministers are gifted in their call. My particular one is the gift of seership - I can see them in vision. Others have a sense of 'knowing' or 'spiritual recognition'. Some see them in dreams. And others, like MPD victims, can actually see them inside whilst unconscious. Sometimes many gifts combine into one. Because demons are very often shape-shifters (the ability to change their appearance) it is important that this is taken into account by both ministers and victims if they have the gift of seership. Demons can appear as angels of light, Christ, and even God Himself (2 Cor.11:4). As you will have read in my article, Which God Do You Worship?, they can counterfeit the Father, Son and Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit), and when they do it, they do it well. They manipulate your feelings so that you believe they are the result of God acting on you, and can create a sense of well-being, happiness, elation, and almost everything that constitutes a real life encounter with the living God. I use the word "almost" advisedly for what they cannot duplicate is a love for the truth or a love for the True God, Yahweh-Elohim and His Law (Torah). So you have to be careful. Unfortunately, those who are under demonic control are not easily able to see the truth - the demonic power has to be disturbed or agitated before they can gain a glimpse into their spiritual captivity. Disturbing a demon is not too difficult, as I shall illustrate.
The presence of a deliverance minister who is filled with the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) is often enough to make demons squirm. One thing they hate is if he makes physical contact with the victim. Touching the victim's hand or head can often provoke a violent reaction. And what they positively loathe is when a minister anoints a victim's head with consecrated olive oil and then lays his hands on his head, for this is the medium that Yahweh has commanded His Elders to use for healing (James 5:14). Anointing a person, laying on one or more hands, and doing so in the Name of Yahweh through Yah'shua (Jesus) will often provoke a spiritual tornado within in. It is not, however, necessary to lay on hands to expell demons. It appears that Christ and the apostles did not. Praying in authority is enough.
Unfortunately, a person who is strongly possessed will be fed the lie that the minister is harmful and mark him down as an oppressor rather than as a liberator. When demons have access to a soul they take control of your mind by interfering with your brain circuitry. Demons are not stupid, hairy rhinoceruses who just charge wildly around. They are extremely intelligent. They know all about the human body and how it works - and especially the brain - in far greater depth than the most intelligent or experienced neurosurgeon or psychologist. They know how to create what I call "mental bottlenecks" so that rational processes cease to function properly. Many people get highly frustrated with victims because they do not respond to reason. This is not because the victims don't want to - it's because they can't. And they won't be able to think clearly until the demons have been expelled and the tampered circuits unblocked.
Some people believe in talking to demons. I almost never do. They are habitual liars and will only talk to a minister in order to gain some advantage or to mock him and things holy. Sometimes when ministers fail to cast out a demon the demon will say something like, "You can't get rid of me." This may either be the truth or a lie. If it is the truth it is because the demon has some legal ground for being present and that means the victim has to make a moral choice of some kind (e.g. like stopping adultery) before the legal ground for occupancy can be removed. They will try to conceal those grounds if they can. If it is a lie, it is often because the demon is running scared and wants to convince the minister that it still has legitimate power when it doesn't. So I make it a principle never to hold conversations with demons. I order them, in Yah'shua's (Jesus') Name, to be silent. If a minister isn't being led by the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) then he has no business interrogating a demon, let alone trying to get rid of it. That's not to say he won't make mistakes - we have all learned from our encounters with demons, have sometimes been humiliated, and still bear our scars. That doesn't mean the minister is a failure - only that he is learning.
In my language we have a word which literally translated into English means "mountain-rock". It is a place, I have discovered, within every human being which a demon can be commanded to stand on and be exposed. No matter what grounds a demon may have for being in a person, he cannot refuse to be identified. And he cannot refuse to identify himself if commanded to do so in the Name of Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ). The rock, of course, is Yah'shua (Jesus) (1 Cor.10:4) and the mountain is His Kingdom (Zech.8:3).
I use my "mountain rock" to look at demons. There I command them to reveal their true appearance so that they can be visually identified before being bound together and cast out. In the old days before I used this key demons would appear in front of me and change their form into animals, insects, men, women, and almost anything else they chose. There is one class of demons that is particularly expert at doing this. They lie behind many if not most of the false religious manifestations in the world - the many Madonna appearances, "Jesus" visions, and the thousands of other occult, New Age, Hindu and other manifestations. Some of the most powerful ones are even able to take on a physical appearance so they can be touched (though they are not able to maintain this illusion for any great length of time because of the amount of energy it costs them). They delight in pretending to be Yahweh's angels and deceiving believers. They did it to Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism, though this is a rather special class of demon called nephilim. But by far the most dangerous kind of demon (in my view) are those which operate in men like Maitreya and enable them to transmaterialise and physically appear around the world as counterfeit Messiahs. This antichrist appeared to a Christian congregation in East Africa and convinced them that he was the returning Christ. I expect to see many more such manifestations in the future as demon power in rebellious mankind increases.
False keys on how to identify demons abound. The Mormon scriptures contain one such demonic lie:
"When a messenger [angel] comes saying he has a message from God, offer him your hand and request him to shake hands with you. If he be an angel [of God] he will do so, and you will feel his hand. If he be the spirit of a just man made perfect [dead believer like Moses] he will come in his glory; for that is the only way he can appear - Ask him to shake hands with you, but he will not move, because it is contrary to the order or heaven for a just man to deceive; but he will deliver his message. If it be a devil [demon] as an angel of light, when you ask him to shake hands he will offer you his hand, and you will not feel anything; you may therefore detect him. These are three grand keys whereby you may know whether any administration is from God" (Doctrine & Covenants 129:4-9).
This is absolute drivel and makes demons out to be morons. They're not stupid. A demon can manifest physically and shake your hand like the next man. I have come across it time and time again. Notice that THE TWO GRAND KEYS are totally ommitted in the Mormon revelation - the Name of Yah'shua (Jesus) and the Power of His Blood. Without them you can never discern angels. And communicating with the dead - whether the good ("just men made perfect") or the evil - is absolutely forbidden. The early Mormons were fond of contacting their dead - indeed, the dead were required to manifest their approval before the living conducted their temple ordinance work for the dead. This is no longer required today, being discontinued after the Nauvoo period. The whole system of Mormon temple ordinances actually demonises them as humans make themselves (unwittingly) channels for religious spirits. Mormon temples are actually places where religious demons are concentrated which is why the atmosphere in Utah (the Mormon heartland) is so "thick".
Mankind has been duped on a massive scale to act as channels for demons. Mormon temples, Muslim mosques, Hindu temples, Roman Catholic churches, many Talmudic Synagogues, and indeed many Protestant churches (like Toronto, Pensacola, Bownsville, etc.) are like beacons for demonic forces. As you get cleared of demons and the presence of the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) grows in you, so you sense these demonic presences all the more accutely. I have been in such places as the above and been in constant vision for hours on end watching the proceedings on the invisible plane. It is busier than the busiest part of down-town New York or any other great metropolis.
You will often find me commenting on the fact that Satan and his demons are "ultra-legalists". They are forced - in order to gain control of human beings - to work within the framework of DIVINE LAW or Torah. Not that they obey it - quite the opposite. Their interest in Torah is when humans break it, because that is when they gain legal access. When a human being commits adultery, for example, it opens a door in his soul that allows one or more demons to enter. Satan gets access when men are lawless. It is written:
"The coming of the lawless (Torah-less) one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God (Eloah) will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 Thess.2:9-12, NKJV).
One of Satan's greatest victories in the Christian world is getting people to believe that the Gospel of Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) requires no obedience to Torah or Yahweh's Law. They teach that the Law has been "done away with" or "nailed to the cross" and that all we now need to do is "follow the Spirit". This sounds perfectly correct in principle for we are indeed supposed to live a life led by the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit). Hoever, what they often neglect to point out is that a person being "led by the Spirit" obeys the Law or Torah of Yahweh as Yah'shua (Jesus) commanded (Mt.5:17-20). How else can he know he is being led by "the Spirit"? How else can he know whether he is being righteous or sinning? Millions twist the Scriptures by saying that the Law kills (it is the letter of the Law without the Spirit that kills) when it is the sin in us that the Law reveals that kills us. And it is that sin which allows demons to make trouble. There are millions of Christians claiming to be led by "the Spirit" who are living lives of lawlessness, forgetting that lawlessness is "according to the working of Satan" and that when we break Yahweh's clearly revealed laws we give the enemy rights of access. And that always spells deception and an erosion of Christian morality. Do not give Satan a foothold in your Christian life through demons (Eph.4:27).
The Torah (Law of Yahweh) is hated by demons because it exposes them. That is why they teach Christians to hate and "demonise" it. False doctrines like "once saved, always saved" lull Christians into a false sense of security not unlike that of reincarnation which convinces Hindus and New Agers that they must passively accept their destinty in this life until they get another (mythical) chance in another life (by which time it's too late because they don't get a second chance). The Scriptures teach emphatically that passive belief is not enough - we must be living lives in accordance with Torah.
Another false doctrine that Christians believe in is that a Christian can't have demon problems. They say that since the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) lives in them that demons by definition cannot either. Quite apart from the fact that millions of Christians have counterfeit "Holy Spirits" in them, the Scriptures refute this position most emphatically. We are told that Christians can follow deceiving spirits (demons) (2 Tim.4:1), we are to test spirits (demons) that may be deceiving us (1 Jn.4:1-4), and the church is riddled with 'Christian' false teachers controlled by false spirits (demons) (2 Pet.2:1-22). Believers can receive false spirits (demons) (2 Cor.11:3-4) and even participate with demons (1 Cor.10:14-22). To say that Christians cannot have demon problems is a lie and demons exploit that lie by lulling them into another false sense of security!
The only Christian who has no demon problems is the one who has faith in Yah'shua (Jesus) as the Salvation of Yahweh, who is filled with His love, and demonstrates that love by obedience to Torah. "If you love Me, keep My commandments" (Jn.14:15, NKJV). If you don't love Him, you don't keep His commandments - and if you break His commandments, and then the demons will eat you for breakfast. I guarantee it. Willfull disobedeience at once puts a soul out of Yahweh's favour and lays him open to the realm of darkness.
We are, through our disobedience, able to open a literal door into our soul through which demons come and go. And believe me, once they come, they never go of their own accord. You are their board and lodging. You - your psychic resources - are what they live for. Your bodily and psychic energy, unlawfully released because of sin, is their bread-and-butter. And like all crooks, they don't easily turn their back on easy pickings. They are spiritual parasites - like tapeworms - and parasites don't let go until they are forced to by strong medicine or painful surgery.
Your physical body has twelve doors to the inside of you: 2 ears, 2 eyes, 2 nostrils, 1 mouth, 2 nipples, 1 reproductive-excretory organ (penis or vagina), 1 anus, and 1 navel. Of these, one (the navel) is sealed in both men and women, and two others (the nipples) are sealed in men. Men may be said to therefore have 9 open doors and women 11. Because women are more vulnerable than men, Yahweh has given men the especial responsibility to protect their wives and daughters against demonic attack by being their shield or covering. They are the warriors of the species. It is for this reason that Yahweh has given husbands headship over their wives and why husbands are commanded to love their wives, and wives to obey their husbands. When it comes to spiritual warfare - just as is true in the physical world - husbands and fathers have an added burden and duty to perform. To be under the covering of a godly husband is therefore a great blessing to a Christian woman. And whilst she, like him, is responsible for the consequences of her own sins, she nevertheless has a covering against demonic attack from the outside (e.g. Eph.4:10-18; 5:22-28).
Your job is to guard those doors against sin and therefore demonic penetration. You do that by being obedient to Yahweh's moral and ethical laws. That means living a life of discipleship - a life pleasing to the Creator. By living such a life - by living Torah - you are able to apply correctives to your behaviour patterns. As you do, so you will detect opposition from within. And when you do that, then you may have discovered some demonic stronghold that needs to be tackled. If, for example, you find yourself attracted to certain kinds of ungodly music and repelled by godly music, then you may, for instance, have the demon Murmur within you who is a powerful demon known as a 'Grand Duke' who controls, through legions of other demons, the rock music scene. That will mean renouncing rock music, binding and casting Murmur and all his demonic legions out, and getting rid of rock music from your home for good. You may discover that you are attracted by all kinds of anti-Torah activities which will need dealing with in a similar manner. It is by systematically and progressively "working out your salvation with fear and trembling" (Phil.2:12) that you eventually become demon-free and can be productive in good works, happy, and secure in Christ.
This is not an easy life but once mastered is worth it. Short-cut routes to salvation don't exist and watery Gospels are more than likely false ones. Beware of them and warn others to do the same. Receiving Yah'shua (Jesus) as your Lord and Saviour costs you nothing - it is a free gift: that is jurisdictional salvation; but completing the race and getting your soul literally cleaned out will take some effort and diligence. As you expose and expell demons within yourself through the power of Christ, you will know that what I am saying is true, so you don't need to take my word for it. Fortunately you don't have to pay for your sins or cast out demons by your own power: that is all done by the blood of Yah'shua (Jesus). Your part, however, is to continue living a life of repentance, walking in Torah, until you have been washed clean in every part of your being and obtain the crown reserved for those who love and serve El Elyon, the Most High God, Yahweh-Elohim.
