Ten years have gone by since the morning
when I became Lev's wife
I was supported in the knowing
that my vows had eternal life
Before the Giver of all life
But soon the hand that had supported
Swapped with a claw that pulled in me,
And since then it always reported
of a new way and how to flee
away froms vows and thus be free.
It offered joy, safety and good luck
and when I was weak one day
it offered rest, but behind my back
it's grip got firm, ready to slay
my pride grew greater straight away.
I raised my head high above the sun
and judged my husband as I pleased
alone I defined Yahweh and Son
And read the Bible as a piece
of men's own perceptions, ideas.
Then when I broke my marriage contract
the claw dictated party time.
I then had broken Yahweh's contact
so I detested Lev's crime
of being part of human kind.
That claw grips deeply into ones heart
and lifts one high above each fear.
It makes life painless, and one feels smart
and all feels safe, and life looks fair.
But evil plans hide under there.
"Do what you want" that is the whole law.
"Do not fear God" is it's command.
"Set yourself free" thus says the claw;
"Just any boat will lead to land,
God must take care of ev'ry man"
Therefore I went away with our son
looked down at Lev's grief and fear
I felt released and free on my own;
had got away from "over there"
a fort's restrictions I'd not bear.
My hand reached fruits I'd never eaten
because they were outside the law.
My life now had far less restriction
because death had no power now
Yahweh's law I no longer saw.
But love's strong rope had not been broken
it doesn't break that easily
Yahweh's words aren't idley spoken
they lead us back so tenderly
and He has done the same for me.
He made the claw before me wither
like Jereboams hand of old
It made the snake-like stories slither
away and then the truth was told
about my chains all made of gold.
Yah'shua's blood has purified me
and I am back on Yahweh's way
The fort's my ally and protects me
from any animal of prey
Here I am safe and here I'll stay
Sadly the claw grips many people
and throws them in it's prison tight
Are you residing in it's steeple
where you are locked up in the height?
Then flee it, tare it down with might!
The Lord of Lords is God eternal
He does not follow human will.
He gave us eyes to read the Journal
where his commands and laws are still
to lead us back to Zion's hill.
