3. To Plant Keys of Truth
7. "To plant the keys of the New Covenant in all churches and individuals who will receive them, that they may grow in grace and truth according to their willingness to be obedient thereto;
8. "That they may be prepared for the tribulations ahead and grow closer unto Me, their Lord and Saviour"
(NC&C 263:7-8).
There are many people who, for various reasons known wholly only by Yahweh Himself, who are unable to receive the whole truth but must receive it piecemeal. This is true not only of individuals but of Churches also.
The New Covenant Church of God not only attempts to reach individuals, churches and ministries with the truths it has received but has in turn been blessed by others. We may say that there is a continual cross-fertilization of spiritual truth in the Body of Christ, which again emphasises our oneness in the Messiah. Certainly we have discovered how often God works in this way. Thanks to the prayerful ministry of one group, NCCG was blessed with the light of the true Sabbath.
NCCG therefore not only acts as individual members witnessing, or as a Church Body seeking for church members, but may also be desribed as a MINISTRY. We aim to serve others in different denominations according to their needs and have gladly received help from them in our turn. Since the establishment of this internet service, many thousands have been helped WITHIN their own churches or within no church at all by the materials we have published. We are to reach out to everyone, scattering the seed of truth in the hope that it will take root wherever it falls. Thus the light which NCCG has received has served - and is serving - and will continue to serve - as a leaven in the wider Body of Christ as well as in the darkness of the world.
To lead a soul to Christ is a victory to be sure, but leading a soul ONE STEP nearer to Christ may also be viewed as an important accomplishment in the war against evil. The apostle Paul declared that some plant, some water, and some harvest (e.g. 1 Cor.3:6). Any true work of God ought to be doing all three. All those with light - partial or complete - are planters of the truth, each portion that is received by a person enabling him to progressively receive more, until he is able to make his choice for Christ...or reject Him. Those who receive Him - or would have received Him had they had the whole truth about salvation presented to them - go to heaven...whereas those who have enough knowledge to consciously make a decision, but reject Him, go to hell. We must therefore diligently plant as and when we can.
New Covenant Christians believe that we are entering the prophesied time where the wheat is being separated from the tares (Matt.13:24-30). On the most commonly understood levels of this parable taught by Yahshua (Jesus), the wheat and the tares represent (a) true and false believers in the Body of Christ; and (b) true and false doctrines and practices in the Churches. Yahweh is starting to sift out true churches from false ones, and genuine believers from those who are not truly Christians. The restoration of lost biblical truths, such as is happening in NCCG and other churches is, we believe, a part of this process of sifting. The enemies of the true Gospel will react violently to the truth or to any exposure of the false paganism in their churches, especially if they have a vested interest such as money or power. Others simply love their traditions more than the truth, as did the Pharisees and Saducees in Yahshua's (Jesus') day.
The sifting net of truth consists of many parts and we are challenged to ask ourselves whether our beliefs are biblical or not. This web site will pose many challening questions to you. How will you react? Whatever your reaction may be, YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE, for if we have spoken the truth as recorded in the Bible, and you have rejected it, God will question you before the Throne of Heaven and make you give an account! This will be true no matter where you have been challenged by biblical truth. Something to seriously think about. (You could, of course, avoid this site in order not to be challenged, but if the Holy Spirit has led you here and you deliberately turn away, you will still have to give an account! Think soberly about it.)
Planting the keys revealed to the New Covenant Church of God, we believe, is aiding not only in blessing souls struggling to find the truth in the dark corridors of mortality in their journey towards Christ and making a decision for Him, but is also a part of Yahweh's plan to begin judging the "House of God" (1 Pet.4:17) to see who is obedient and who is not. We are entering a time where the true universal Church is being separated from the counterfeit one which even now is moving towards a one world religion whose master is Satan.
This is the Third Commission of the New Covenant Church of God.
