1-1. The Deity of the Father
No Bible-believing Christian/Messianic obviously denies the deity of the Father and so I will cite no proof-texts here since it is taken for granted. Our heavenly Father is known as YAHWEH although because of superstition and bad translation this has been corrupted into the blasphemous word "Jehovah" which literally translated from the Hebrew means 'Jah is perverse'. It is not found in the Hebrew Tanakh (Old Testament) at all where Elohim's (God's) true Name is rendered simply by its consonants YHWH, otherwise known as the Tetragrammaton. Almost all scholars agree that the Name of Elohim (God) the Father is Yahweh though a number of Messianic groups dispute this and quarrel amongst themselves over numerous alternatives.
Only non-Christians, and in particular those who are not Monotheists (believing in only One Elohim/God) deny the deity of the Father. This we shall not consider here but you may read more about this in our Occult Section and elsewhere on this site.
