NCAY HYMNALS
& SONG BOOKS

Yahweh's Praises
First (Sacred Name) Edition, 2002
Songs of the New Covenant, Vol.5

Yahweh's Praises was hurriedly compiled in November 2002 both to meet the needs of the newly organised Church/Assembly in America as well as to have a Sacred Names edition of songs in English. Previous to this new book, English-speaking congregations were obliged to use Volumes 3 (1993) & 4 (1995), produced before NCCG adopted Torah and the Sacred Names, which were about 50% Norwegian, 40% English, and containing a small selection of Danish, Swedish, German, French and Dutch songs. The first edition is text-only.

As NCCG expands in English-speaking countries, updated editions of this Volume 5, containing both more songs and musical scores, will follow. In the meantime, we hope that this edition will meet contemporary needs. Officially accepted congregations of NCCG and NCHCF are hereby granted permission to reprodice and publish the materials on this page provided the proper credits are incorporated. Please, as a matter of courtesy, write in to New Covenant Press first for permission.

1. ABIDE WITH ME

1. Abide with me! fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens, Yah, with me abide!
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me!

2. Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day;
Earth's joys grow dim; its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see;
O Thou, who changest not, abide with me!

3. I need Thy presence ev'ry passing hour,
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power?
Who like Thyself, my guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, Yah, abide with me!

2. ALL CREATURES OF OUR GOD AND KING

1. All creatures of our God and King, Lift up your voice and let us sing
Halelu-Yah! Halelu-Yah!
Thou burning sun with golden beam, Thou silver moon with softer gleam,

O praise Him, O praise Him,
Halelu-Yah! Halelu-Yah! Halelu-Yah!

2. Thou rushing wind that art so strong, Ye clouds that sail in heaven along,
O praise Him! Halelu-Yah!
Thou rising morn, in praise rejoice, Ye lights of evening, find a voice:

3. Thou flowing water, pure and clear, Make music for thy Lord to hear,
Halelu-Yah! Halelu-Yah!
Thou fire so masterful and bright, That givest man both warmth and light:

4. Dear mother earth, who day by day, Unfoldest blessings on our way,
Halelu-Yah! Halelu-Yah!
The flowers and fruits that in thee grow, Let them His glory also show:

5. And all ye men of tender heart, Forgiving others, take your part,
Halelu-Yah! Halelu-Yah!
Ye who long pain and sorrow bear, Praise Yah and on Him cast your care:

6. And Thou most kind and gentle Death, waiting to hush our latest breath,
Halelu-Yah! Halelu-Yah!
Thou leadest home the child of God, And Yah'shua the way hath trod:

7. Let all things their Creator bless, And worship Him in humbleness,
Halelu-Yah! Halelu-Yah!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son, and Praise the Ruach, Echad, One:

3. ALL HAIL THE POWER OF YAH'SHUA'S NAME

1. All hail the power of Yah'shua's Name!
Let Angels prostrate fall, Let Angels prostrate fall.
Bring forth the royal diadem,

And crown Him, crown Him, crown Him,
And crown Him Lord of all; And crown Him Lord of all.

2. Ye chosen seed of Isarel's race,
Ye ransomed from the fall, Ye ransomed from the fall,
Hail Him who saves you by His grace,

3. Let every kindred, every tribe,
On this terrestrial ball, On this terrestrial ball,
To Him all majesty ascribe,

4. O that with yonder sacred throng,
We at His feet may fall! We at His feet may fall!
We'll join the everlasting song,

4. ALL THAT THRILLS MY SOUL IS YAH'SHUA

1. Who can cheer the heart like Yah'shua, By His presence all divine?
True and tender, pure and precious, O how blest to call Him mine!

All that thrills my soul is Yah'shua, He is more than life to me;
And the fairest of ten thousand, In My blessed Lord I see.

2. What a wonderful redemption; Never can a mortal know
How my sin, though red like crimson, Can be whiter than the snow.

3. By the crystal-flowing river, With the ransomed I will sing;
And for ever and for ever, Praise and glorify the King.

5. ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL

All things bright and beautiful
All creatures great and small.
All things wise and wonderful
Eloah made them all.

1. Each little flower that opens, Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colours, he made their tiny wings.

2. The purple headed mountain, The river running by,
The sunset and the morning, That brighens up the sky.

3. The cold wind in the winter, The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden, He made them every one.

4. The tall trees in the greenwood, The meadows where we play,
The rushes by the water, We gather every day.

5. He gave us eyes to see them, And lips that we might tell,
How great is Yah almighty, Who has made all things well.

6. AMAZING GRACE

1. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found, Was blind, but now I see.

2. 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear, The hour I first believed.

3. Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come;
'Tis grace has brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home.

4. Yahweh has promised good to me: His Word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be, As long as life endures.

5. And when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil, A life of joy and peace.

6. When we've been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing Yah's praise, Than when we've first begun.

7. AND CAN IT BE

1. And can it be that I should gain,
An int'rest in the Saviour's blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain?
For me, who Him, to death pursued.

Amazing love! How can it be?
That Thou, O Yah'shua, shouldst die for me? ||

2. He left His Father's throne above,
So free, so infinite His grace!
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam's helpless race.

3. No condemnation now I dread,
I am my Lord's and He is mine;
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine.

8. A POOR WAYFARING MAN OF GRIEF

1. A poor wayfaring Man of grief hath often crossed me on my way,
Who sued so humbly for relief that I could never answer, Nay.
I had not power to ask His Name, whereto He went, or whence He came;
Yet there was something in his eye that won my love, I know not why.

2. Once, when my scanty meal was spread, He entered, not a word He spake;
Just perishing for want of bread, I gave Him all; He blessed it, brake,
And ate, but gave me part again, Mine was an angel's portion then,
For while I fed with eager haste, The crust was manna to my taste.

3. I spied Him where a fountain burst clear from the rock; His strength was gone;
The heedless water mocked His thirst; He heard it, saw it, hurrying on.
I ran and raised the sufferer up; Thrice from the stream He drained my cup,
Dipped and returned it running o'er; I drank and never thirsted more.

4. 'Twas night; the floods were out; it blew A winter hurricane aloof;
I heard His voice abroad and flew To bid Him welcome to my roof.
I warmed and clothed and cheered my guest and laid Him on my couch to rest,
Then made the earth my bed, and seemed in Eden's Garden while I dreamed.

5. Stript, wounded, beaten nigh to death, I found Him by the highway side;
I roused his pulse, brought back His breath, Revived His Spirit, and supplied
Wine, oil, refreshment - he was healed; I had myself a wound concealed,
But from that hour forgot the smart, And peace bound up my broken heart.

6. In prison I saw him next, condemned to meet meet a traitor's doom at morn;
The tide of lying tongues I stemmed, And honoured Him 'mid the shame and scorn.
My friendship's utmost zeal to try, He asked if I for Him would die;
The flesh was weak; my blood ran chill; But the free spirit cried, 'I will'.
7. Then in a moment to my view, The Stranger started from disguise;
The tokens in His hands I knew; The Saviour stood before mine eyes.
He spake, and my poor name He named, 'Of Me thou hast not been ashamed;
These deeds shall thy memorial be, Fear not, thou didst them unto Me.'

9. AS THE DEER PANTS

As the deer pants for the waters,
So my soul longs for You;
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship You.
You alone are my Strength, my Shield,
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my heart's desire,
And I long to worship You.

10. A SUNBEAM

A sunbeam, a sunbeam! Yah'shua wants me for a sunbeam;
A sunbeam, a sunbeam, I''ll be a sunbeam for Him.

11. BEFORE THEE, YAH

1. Before Thee, Yah, I bow my head,
And thank Thee for what has been said,
My soul vibrates, my poor heart sings,
When thy sweet Ruach strikes the strings.
How sweet the Word I've heard this day!
Be Thou my guide, O Yah, I pray.
May I in patience do my part,
Seal thou the Word upon my heart.

2. Do Thou, O Yah, anoint mine eyes,
That I may see and win the prize.
My heart is broke; mine eyes are wet;
O help me, Yah, lest I forget.
So may my soul be filled with light
That I may see and win the fight,
And then at last exalted be,
In peace and rest, O Yah, with Thee.

3. Look up my soul, be not cast down;
Keep not Thine eyes upon the ground.
Break off the shackles of the earth,
Receive my soul, the spirit's birth.
And now as I go forth again,
To mingle with my fellow men,
Stay Thou near by my steps to guide,
That I may in Thy love abide.

12. BEHOLD, THE SAVIOUR AT YOUR DOOR

1. Behold, the Saviour at your door, Your kindest, truest friend,
Is seeking entrance to your heart, Your life with His to blend.

The Saviour's knocking at your door,
And asking entrance in;
He's knocking, asking o'er and o'er;
O open unto Him!

2. Oh, yes, the blessèd Son of Yah, Though Lord of all above,
Now pauses at your lowly door, And speaks in tones of love.

3. 'If any man will hear My voice, And open unto Me,
I'll sup with him and he with Me, And friends we'll always be.'

13. BEHOLD, THE WONDROUS LOVE

1. Behold, behold, the wondrous love,
That ever flows from Yah above;
Through Christ, His only Son who gave,
His precious blood, our souls to save

All praise and glory be unto Yah'shua
For He hath purchased a full salvation;
Behold, how wondrous the proclamation -
'Whosoever will may come'.

2. Behold Him now exalted high,
Above the bright and starry sky;
Yet through His Word He calleth still
'Come unto Me' whoever will.

3. Behold in Him the Living Way,
That onward leads to endless day;
Where, saved by grace, the ransomed throng,
Lift up the everlasting song.

14. BLACK, WHITE AND BLUE (NCCG BATTLE HYMN)

1. Black, white, and blue, the colours we serve under.
We're always one, None shall divide asunder.
The foe beware! We'll never, never, never be divided;
For e'er united, One happy family!

2. Yah'shua is King, the Elohim we follow.
He died for us, That we might live tomorrow.
He loves us all! We'll never, never, never, never fail Him,
For ever serve Him, His happy family!

3. Triumphant Saints, We'll march until victorious!
Surrender, no! Our banner flying glorious.
We cannot flee, For Yah'shua calls us on to our redemption,
Until perfection, Has graced our Family!

15. BLESSED ASSURANCE

1. Blessèd assurance, Yah'shua is mine,
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Hear of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of the Ruach, washed in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Saviour all the day long; ||

2. Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending, bring from above,
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love

3. Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Saviour am happy and blest;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

16. BLESSED BE THOU, O GOD OF ISRAEL

1. Blessed be Thou, O God of Israel, Thou our Father and our Lord!
Blest Thy majesty forever, Ever be Thy Name adored!

2. Thine, O Yah, are pow'r and greatness; Glory, vict'ry are Thine own;
All is Thine in earth and heaven; Over all Thy boundless throne.

3. Riches come of Thee, and honour; Pow'r and might to Thee belong -
Thine it is to make us prosper; Only Thine to make us strong. Amen.

17. COME, THOU ALMIGHTY KING

1. Come, Thou Almighty King, Help us Thy Name to sing,
Help us to praise, Father all glorious, O'er all victorious,
Come and reign over us, Aleph of Days!

2. Yah'shua, our Adon, arise, Scatter our enemies,
Now make them fall! Let Thine Almighty aid, Our sure defense be made,
Our souls on Thee be stayed, Lord hear our call!

3. Come, Holy Comforter, Thy sacred witness bear
In this glad hour; Thou who Almighty art, Now rule in ev'ry heart,
And ne'er from us depart, Ruach of pow'r. Amen.

18. COME, YE THANKFUL PEOPLE

1. Come, ye thankful people, come, Raise the song of harvest home;
All is safely gathered in, Ere the winter storms begin;
Yah, our Maker, doth provide, For our wants to be supplied;
Come to Yah's own temple come, Raise the song of harvest home.

2. All the world is Yah's own field, Fruit unto His praise to yield;
Wheat and tares together sown, Unto joy or sorrow grown;
First, the blade, and then the ear, Then the full corn shall appear;
Lord of harvest, grant that we, Wholesome grain and pure may be.

19. COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

1. When upon life's billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what Yahweh hath done.

Count your blessings, Name them one by one;
Count your blessings, See what Yah hath done;
Count your blessings, Count them one by one;
Count, count your blessings, Count them one by one.

2. Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.

3. When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Yah'shua promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings, money cannot buy,
Your reward in Heaven, nor your home on High.

4. So, amid the conflict, whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, Yah is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey send.

20. CROWN HIM WITH MANY CROWNS

1. Crown Him with many crowns, The Lamb upon His throne;
Hark! how the heavenly anthem drowns, All music but its own:
Awake, my soul, and sing, Of Him who died for thee,
And hail Him as thy matchless King, Through all eternity.

2. Crown Him the Virgin's Son, The God incarnate born,
Whose arm those crimson trophies won, Which now His brow adorn:
Fruit of the mystic Rose, As of the Rose the Stem;
The Root whose mercy ever flows, The Babe of Bethlehem.

3. Crown Him the Lord of Love; Behold His hands and side,
Those wounds yet visible above, In beauty glorified:
No Angel in the sky, Can fully bear the sight,
But downward bends his burning eye, At mysteries so bright.

4. Crown Him the Lord of peace, Whose power a sceptre sways,
From pole to pole, that wars may cease, And all be prayer and praise:
His reign shall know no end, And round His piercèd feet,
Fair flowers of Paradise extend, Their fragrance ever sweet.

5. Crown Him the Lord of years, The Potentate of time,
Creator of the rolling sphere, Ineffably sublime:
All hail, Redeemer, hail! For Thou hast died for me;
Thy praise shall never, never fail, Throughout eternity.

21. DEAR LORD AND FATHER OF MANKIND

1. Dear Lord and Father of mankind, Forgive our foolish ways;
Restore to us our rightful mind; In purer lives Thy ways to find,
In deeper rev'rence praise (x2).

2. In simple trust like theirs, who heard, beside the Syrian Sea,
The gracious calling of the Lord, Let us, like them, without a word,
Rise up and follow Thee (x2).

3. O Sabbath rest by Galilee! O calm of hills above!
Where Yah'shua knelt to share with Thee, The silence of eternity,
Interpreted by love (x2).

4. Drop Thy still dews of quietness, Till all our strivings cease;
Take from our souls the strain and stress,
And let our ordered lives confess
The beauty of of Thy peace (x2).

22. FAIREST LORD YAH'SHUA

1. Fairest Lord Yah'shua, Ruler of all nature,
O Thou of Yah and man the Son;
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honour,
Thou, my soul's glory, joy and crown.

2. Fair are the meadows, Fairer still the woodlands,
Robed in the blooming garb of spring;
Yah'shua is fairer. Yah'shua is purer,
Who makes the sorr'wing spirit sing.

3. Fair is the sunshine, Fairer still the moonlight,
And all the twinkling, starry host;
Yah'shua shines brighter, Yah'shua shines purer,
Than all the angels heav'n can boast.

23. FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT

1. Fight the good fight with all thy might,
Christ is thy strength, and Christ thy might;
Lay hold on life, and it shall be,
Thy joy and crown eternally.

2. Run the straight race through Yah's good grace,
Lift up thine eyes, and seek His face;
Life with its way before us lies,
Christ is the path, and Christ the prize.

3. Cast care aside, upon thy Guide
Lean, and His mercy will provide;
Lean, and the trusting soul shall prove
Christ is its life, and Christ its love.

4. Faint not nor fear, His arms are near,
He changeth not, and thou art dear;
Only believe, and thou shalt see
That Christ is all in all to thee.

24. FOR ALL THE SAINTS

1. For all the Saints who from their labours rest,
Who Thee by faith before the world confest,
Thy Name, O Yah'shua, be for ever blest - Halelu-Yah, Halelu-Yah!

2. Thou wast their Rock, their Fortress, and their Might;
Thou, Yah, their Captain in the well-fought fight;
Thou in the darkness drear their one true Light - Halelu-Yah, Halelu-Yah!

3. O may Thy soldiers, faithful, true, and bold,
Fight as the Saints who nobly fought of old,
And win, with them, the victor's crown of gold - Halelu-Yah, Halelu-Yah!

4. O blest communion! fellowship divine!
We feebly struggle, they in glory shine;
Yet all are one in Thee, for all are Thine - Halelu-Yah, Halelu-Yah!

5. And when the strife is fierce, the warfare long,
Steals on the ear the distant triumph-song,
And hearts are brave again, and arms are strong - Halelu-Yah, Halelu-Yah!

6. The golden evening brightens in the west,
Soon, soon to faithful warriors cometh rest:
Sweet is the calm of Paradise the blest - Halelu-Yah, Halelu-Yah!

7. But lo! there breaks a yet more glorious day,
The Saints triumphant rise in bright array:
The King of glory passes on His way - Halelu-Yah, Halelu-Yah!

8. From earth's wide bounds, from ocean's farthest coast,
Through gates of pearl stream conquerors of death,
Singing to Father, Son and Holy Breath - Halelu-Yah, Halelu-Yah!

25. GIVE ME OIL

1. Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning,
Give me oil in my lamp, I pray.

Sing Hosanna to the King of Kings!
Sing Hosanna, Sing Hosanna,
Sing Hosanna to the King!

Give me joy in my heart, I pray.

Give me love in my heart, I pray.

Give me peace in my heart, I pray.

Keep me resting till the break of day.

26. GLORIOUS THINGS OF THEE ARE SPOKEN

1. Glorious things of Thee are spoken, Zion city of our God;
He whose Word cannot be broken, Formed thee for His own abode.
On the rock of ages founded, What can shake thy sure repose?
With salvation's walls surrounded, Thou mayest smile at all thy foes.

2. See, the streams of living waters, Springing from eternal love;
Well supply thy sons and daughters, And all fear of want remove.
Who can faint when such a river, Ever will their thirst assuage?
Grace, which like Yahweh the Giver, Never fails from age to age.

3. Round each habitation hovering, See the cloud and fire appear.
For a glory and a covering, Showing that Yahweh is near.
Glorious things of Thee are spoken, Zion city of our God;
He whose Word cannot be broken, Formed thee for His own abode.

27. GUIDE ME, O THOU GREAT REDEEMER

1. Guide me, O Thou great Redeemer, Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but Thou art mighty, Hold me with Thy powerful Hand;
Bread of Heaven, Bread of Heaven, Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more.

2. Open now the crystal fountain, Whence the healing waters flow;
Let the fiery, cloudy pillar, Lead me all my journey through;
Strong Deliv'rer, Strong Deliv'rer, Be Thou still my strength and shield;
Be Thou still my strength and shield.

3. When I tread the verge of Jordan, Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of death, and hell's destruction, Land me safe on Canaan's side;
Songs of praises, Songs of praises, I will ever give to Thee;
I will ever give to Thee.

28. HARK THE VOICE OF YAH'SHUA CALLING

1. Hark! The voice of Yah'shua calling, 'Who will go and work today?
Fields are white and harvests waiting; Who will bear the sheaves away?'
Earnestly the Master calleth; Rich reward He offers free;
Who will answer, gladly saying, 'Here am I, O Yah, send me.'

2. If you cannot cross the ocean, And far mission lands explore,
You can find the needy nearer; You can help them at your door.
If you cannot give your thousands, You can serve with all your might;
And whate'er you do for Yah'shua, Will be precious in His sight.

3. Let none hear you idly saying, 'There is nothing I can do,'
While the souls of men are dying, And the Master calls for you.
Take the task He gives you gladly; Let His work your pleasure be;
Answer quickly when He calleth, 'Here am I, O Yah, send me.'

29. HOLY, HOLY, HOLY

1. Holy, holy, holy! Yahweh Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy, Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, Echad Unity!

2. Holy, holy, holy! all the Saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and Seraphim falling down before Thee,
Which wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.

3. Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see,
Only Thou art holy, there is none beside Thee
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.

4. Holy, holy, holy! Yahweh Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy Name, in earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, Echad Unity!

30. HAVE YOU ANY ROOM FOR YAH'SHUA?

1. Have you any room for Yah'shua, he who bore your load of sin?
As He knocks and asks admission, Sinner, will you let Him in?

Room for Yah'shua, King of glory
Hasten now, His Word obey;
Swing the heart's door widely open,
Bid Him enter while you may.

2. Room and time now give to Yah'shua: Soon will pass Yah's day of Grace;
Soon thy heart left cold and silent, And thy Saviour's pleading cease.

31. HE LEADETH ME

1. He leadeth me, O blessèd thought!
O words with heavenly comfort fraught!
Whate'er I do, where e'er I be,
Still 'tis Yah's hand that leadeth me.

He leadeth me, he leadeth me, By His own Hand He leadeth me:
His faithful follower I would be, For by His Hand he leadeth me.

2. Sometimes 'mid scenes of deepest gloom,
Sometimes where Eden's bowers bloom,
By waters still, o'er troubled sea,
Still 'tis His hand that leadeth me!

3. Lord, I would clasp Thine Hand in mine,
Nor ever murmur nor repine,
Content, whatever lot I see,
Since 'tis Yahweh that leadeth me!

4. And when my task on earth is done,
When, by Thy grace, the vict'ry's won,
E'en death's cold wave I will not flee,
Since Yah through Jordan leadeth me.

He's got the whole world in His hands.

Let him in constancy, Follow the Master.
There's no discouragement, Shall make him once relent
His first avowed intent, To be a pilgrim.

2. Who so beset him round, With dismal stories,
Do but themselves confound - His strength the more is.
No foes shall stay his might, Though he with giants fight:
He will make good his right, To be a pilgrim.

3. Since, Yah'shua dost defend, Us with His Spirit,
We know we at the end, Shall life inherit.
Then fancies flee away! I'll fear not what men say,
I'll labour night and day, To be a pilgrim.

34. HOW FAR IS IT TO BETHLEHEM?

1. How far is it to Bethlehem? Not very far.
Shall we find the stable room, Lit by a star?
Can we see the little Child? Is He within?
If we lift the wooden latch, May we go in?

2. May we stroke the creatures there, Ox, ass, or sheep?
May we peep like them and see, Yah'shua asleep.
If If we touch His tiny hand, Will He awake?
Will He know we've come so far, Just for His sake?

35. HOW GENTLE YAHWEH'S COMMANDS

1. How gentle Yahweh's commands! How kind His precepts are!

2. Beneath His watchful eye, His saints securely dwell;
That hand which bears all nature up, Shall guard His children well.

3. Why should this anxious load, Press down your weary mind?
Haste to your Heavenly Father's throne, And sweet refreshment find.

I'll drop my burden at His feet, And bear a song away.

36. I AM SO GLAD

1. I am so glad that our Father in Heav'n,
Tells of His love in the Book He has giv'n;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see;
This is the dearest, that Yah'shua loves me.

I am so glad that Yah'shua loves me,
Yah'shua loves me, Yah'shua loves me;
I am so glad that Yah'shua loves me,
Yah'shua loves even me.

2. Though I forget Him and wander away,
Still He doth love me wherever I stray;
Back to His dear loving arms I would flee,
When I remember that Yah'shua loves me.

3. O if there's only one song I can sing,
When in His beauty I see the great King;
This shall my song in eternity be,
O what a wonder that Yah'shua loves me.

37. I HEARD AN OLD, OLD STORY

(Victory in Yah'shua)

1. I heard and old, old story, How a Saviour came from glory;
How He gave His life on Calvary, To save a wretch like me;
I heard about Him groaning, Of His precious blood's atoning,
Then I repented of my sins, And won the victory!

O victory in Yah'shua, My Saviour, forever,
He sought me and bought me,
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me e'er I knew Him,
And all my love is due Him;
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood.

2. I heard about His healing, Of His cleansing pow'r revealing;
How He made the lame to walk again, And caused the blind to see;
And then I cried, 'Dear Yah'shua, Come and heal my broken spirit',
I then obey His blest commands, And gained the victory.

3. I head about a mansion, He has built for me in glory;
And I heard about the street of gold, Beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing, And the old redemption story;
And some sweet day I'll sing up there, The Song of Victory!

38. IMMORTAL, INVISIBLE, YAH ONLY WISE

1. Immortal, invisible, Yah only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessèd, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great Name we praise.

2. Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might;
Thy justice like mountains high soaring above
Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.

3. To all life Thou givest - to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,
And whither and perish - but naught changeth Thee.

4. Great Father of Glory, pure Father of Light,
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;
All praise we would render: O help us to see
'Tis only the splendour of light hideth Thee.

39. I NEED THEE EVERY HOUR

No tender voice like Thine, Can peace afford.

Temptations lose their power, When Thou art nigh.

Come quickly and abide, Or life is vain.

4. I need Thee every hour, Most holy One;
O make me Thine indeed, Thou blessèd Son!

40. IN HUMILITY OUR SAVIOUR

1. In humility, our Saviour, Grant Thy Ruach here, we pray;
As we bless the bread and wine, In Thy Name, this holy day.
Let me not forget, O Saviour, Thou didst bleed and die for me
When Thy heart was stilled and broken, On the cross at Calvary.

2. Fill our hearts with sweet forgiving; Teach us tolerance and love;
Let our prayers find access to Thee, In Thy holy courts above.
Then when Thou hast made us worthy of Thy sacrifice divine,
Lord, let us regain Thy presence; Let Thy glory round us shine.

41. IN THE MOUNTAINS OF OUR FATHERS (NCCG GATHERING)

1. In the mountains of our fathers, In the slumbering land of Joseph,
Came the message of salvation, To gladden every heart.
T'was the news of Yah'shua crucified, T'was the news of Yah'shua ris'n:
T'was the news of modern revelation, And a Covenant made anew.

2. In the snow-decked land of Ephraim, Where the tribes of Israel lingered,
Came a voice of exultation, Saying, 'Rise, O saints of Yah!'
Take the banner of New Israel, Raise it high above your heads;
Proclaim New Israel gathered, According to Yahweh's Plan.

3. So the saints went out and witnessed, Of the news that Yah'shua brought;
One by one they came to Zion, Their hearts aglow with love:
Holy angels thronged their gatherings, Heavenly visions opened wide;
So the saints knew Yahweh was with them,
Guiding them to a promised land.

4. Let your hearts be glad, O Israel, In the lands where Yah is gath'ring;
For the everlasting Gospel, Is known at every hand.
Be ye true to every covenant, Be ye firm in all ye do:
Let Yah'shua sing for ever, In hearts made pure by love.

5. Halelu-Yah, Yah'shua, Lord! May Your Name be honoured here;
Bless the souls who've come together, To spread Your Word abroad;
Let us never be found faithless, Let us always be found true;
May the bursting song of Zion, Proclaim: 'Yah, I love You!'

42. ISRAEL, ISRAEL, YAH IS CALLING

1. Israel, Israel, Yah is calling, Calling thee from lands of woe:
Babylon the great is falling, Yah shall all her towers o'erthrow.
Come to Zion, come to Zion, Ere His floods of anger flow (x2).

2. Israel, Israel, Yah is speaking, Hear your great Deliverer's voice!
Now a glorious morn is breaking, For the people of His choice.
Come to Zion, come to Zion, And within her walls rejoice (x2).

3. Israel, angels are descending, from celestial worlds on high,
And to man their power extending, That the Saints may homeward fly.
Come to Zion, come to Zion, For your coming Lord is nigh (x2).

4. Israel, Israel! canst thou linger, Still in error's gloomy ways?
Mark how judgment's pointing finger, Justifies no vain delays.
Come to Zion, come to Zion, Zion's walls shall ring with praise (x2).

43. I STAND ALL AMAZED

1. I stand all amazed at the love Yah'shua offers me,
Confused at the grace that so fully He proffers me;
I tremble to know that for me He was crucified,
That for me, a sinner, He suffered, He bled and died.

Oh, it is wonderful that He should care for me,
Enough to die for me!
Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me!

2. I marvel that He would descend from His throne divine,
To rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine;
That He should extend His great love unto such as I,
Sufficient to own, to redeem, and to justify.

3. I think of His hands pierced and bleeding to pay the debt!
Such mercy, such love, and devotion can I forget?
No, no, I will praise and adore at the mercy seat,
Until at the glorified throne I kneel at His feet.

44. I VOW TO THEE, O YAHWEH

1. I vow to Thee, O Yahweh, all earthly things above,
Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love;
The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test,
That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best;
The love that never falters, the love that pays the price,
The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.

2. And there's a heavenly country, I've heard of long ago,
Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know;
We may not count her armies, we may not see her King;
Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering;
And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase,
And her ways are ways of gentleness and all her paths are peace.

45. I WOULD BE TRUE

1. I would be true, for there are those who trust me;
I would be pure, for there are those who care;
I would be strong, for there is much to suffer;
I would be brave, for there is much to dare (x2).

2. I would be friend of all, the foe, the friendless;
I would be giving, and forget the gift;
I would be humble, for I know my weakness;
I would look up and laugh and love and lift (x2).

3. I would be prayerful through each busy moment;
I would be constantly in touch with God;
I would be tuned to hear His slightest whisper;
I would have faith to keep the path Christ trod (x2).

46. JERUSALEM

1. And did those feet in ancient time, Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the Holy Lamb of God, On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the countenance divine, Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here, Among these dark satannic mills?

2. Bring me my bow of burning gold! Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds unfold! Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight, Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem, In England's green and pleasant land.

47. JUST A CLOSER WALK

1. I am weak but Thou art strong, Yah'shua keep me from all wrong;
I'll be satisfied as long, As I walk, let me walk close to Thee.

Just a closer walk with Thee, Grant it Yah'shua, is my plea;
Daily walking close to Thee, As I walk, let me walk close to Thee.

2. Through this world of toils and snares, If I falter, Lord, who cares?
Who with me my burden shares?
None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee.

3. When my feeble life is o'er, Time for me will be no more;
Guide me gently, safely o'er, To Thy Kingdom shore, to Thy shore.

48. JUST AS I AM

1. Just as I am, without one plea, But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou biddest me come to Thee, O Lamb of Yah, I come! I come.

2. Just as I am, and waiting not, To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee, whose blood can cleanse each spot, O Lamb of Yah, I come! I come.

3. Just I am, though tossed about, With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings within, and fears without, O Lamb of Yah, I come! I come.

4. Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind, Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need, in Thee to find, O Lamb of Yah, I come! I come.

5. Just as I am, Thou wilt receive, Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe, O Lamb of Yah, I come! I come.

6. Just as I am, Thy love unknown, Hath broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone, O Lamb of Yah, I come! I come.

49. LEAD KINDLY LIGHT

1. Lead, kindly Light, amid the encircling gloom, Lead Thou me on;
The night is dark, and I am far from home, Lead Thou me on.
Keep Thou my feet; I do not ask to see
The distant scene; one step enough for me.

2. I was not ever thus, nor prayed that Thou, Shouldst lead me on;
I loved to choose and see my path; but now Lead Thou me on.
I loved the garish day, and, spite of fears,
Pride ruled my will: remember not past years.
3. So long Thy power hath blest me, sure it still Will lead me on
O'er moor and fen, o'er crag and torrent, till The night is gone,
And with the morn those Angel faces smile,
Which I have loved long since, and lost awhile.

50. LEAD ON, O KING ETERNAL

1. Lead on, O King Eternal, The day of march has come;
Henceforth in fields of conquest, Thy tents shall be our home.
Through days of preparation, Thy grace has made us strong,
And now, O King Eternal, We lift our battle song.

2. Lead on, O King Eternal, Till sin's fierce war shall cease,
And holiness shall whisper, The sweet amen of peace;
For not with swords' loud clashing, Nor roll of stirring drums,
With deeds of love and mercy, The heav'nly kingdom comes.

3. Lead on, O King Eternal, We follow, not with fears,
For gladness breaks like morning, Where'er Thy face appears.
Thy cross is lifted o'er us, We journey in its light;
The crown awaits the conquest; Lead on, O Yah of might. Amen.

51. LOVE DIVINE

1. Love Divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of heaven, to earth come down,
Fix in us Thy humble dwelling,
All Thy faithful mercies crown.
Yah'shua, Thou art all compassion,
Pure unbounded love Thou art;
Visit us with Thy salvation,
Enter every trembling heart.

2. Come, Almighty to deliver,
Let us all Thy life receive;
Suddenly return, and never,
Never more Thy temples leave.
Thee we would be always blessing,
Serve Thee as Thy hosts above,
Pray, and praise Thee, withouit ceasing,
Glory in Thy perfect love.

3. Finish then Thy new creation,
Pure and spotless let us be;
Let us see Thy great salvation,
Perfectly restored in Thee,
Changed from glory into glory,
Till in heaven we take our place,
Till we cast our crowns before Thee,
Lost in wonder, love, and praise!

52. LULLABY

1. Lullaby and good night! With roses bedight,
With lillies bespread, Is a baby's wee bed;
Lay thee down now and rest: May thy slumber be blest;
Lay thee down now and rest: May thy slumber be blest.

2. Lullaby and good night! Dream of Paradise bright,
While near thee, at hand, The Angels shall stand:
If Yah will, thou shalt wake, When the morning doth break;
If Yah will, thou shalt wake, When the morning doth break.

53. MARRIAGE

1. Like the meeting of the waters, In the vale of pleasant streams;
In that fair and sunny Eden, That we sometimes see in dreams:
Like two threads of shining silver, Woven in a perfect cord;
These two lives which hence forever, Are one in Christ the Lord.

2. May their minds in the future blending, Know the purest of earth's peace;
May no evil cloud descending, Cause their perfect trust to cease.
With the other, each forebearing, When the time of trials come;
Ev'ry joy and sorrow sharing, Fill with light the halls of home.

3. In our life there comes no blessing, Nor a pleasure can we name,
Nor a gift worth the possessing, If Yah blesses not the same;
Therefore, sanctify, our Father, With Thy Ruach, this pure vow,
May it ever hold unbroken, These two lives in love, as now.

54. MINE EYES HAVE SEEN THE GLORY OF THE COMING OF THE LORD

1. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.

Glory, glory, Halelu-Yah! (x3)
His truth is marching on.

2. I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps;
They have builded up an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps,
His day is marching on.

3. He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat;
O be swift, my soul, to answer Him, be jubilant, my feet!
Our Yah is marching on.

4. In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigured you and me;
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While Yah is marching on.

55. MORNING HAS BROKEN

1. Morning has broken, Like the first morning,
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird.
Praise for the singing! Praise for the morning!
Praise for them, springing, Fresh from the Word!

2. Sweet the rain's new fall, Sunlit from heaven,
Like the first dew fall on the first grass.
Praise for the sweetness, Of the wet garden,
Sprung in completeness where His feet pass.

3. Mine is the sunlight! Mine is the morning
Born of the one light Eden saw play!
Praise with elation, praise every morning,
Yah's recreation of the new day!

56. MY YAH'SHUA I LOVE THEE

1. My Yah'shua, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine,
For Thee all the follies, Of sin I resign;
My gracious Redeemer, my Saviour art Thou;
If ever I loved Thee, my Yah'shua, 'tis now.

2. I love Thee, because Thou, Hast first lovèd me,
And purchased my pardon, On Calvary's tree;
I love Thee for wearing, The thorns on Thy brow;
If ever I loved Thee, my Yah'shua, 'tis now.
3. I'll love Thee in life, I, Will love Thee in death,
And praise Thee as long as, Thou lendest me breath;
And say when the death dew, Lies cold on my brow;
If ever I loved Thee, My Yah'shua, 'tis now.

56. NOW THANK WE ALL OUR GOD

1. Now thank we all our God, With hearts and hands and voices,
Who wondrous things hath done, In whom His world rejoices;
Who from our mother's arms, Hath blessed us on our way,
With countless gifts of love, And still is ours today.

2. All praise and thanks to Yah, the Father, now be given,
The Son, and Him who reigns, with them in highest Heaven;
The one eternal God, Whom earth and heaven adore,
For thus is was, is now, And shall be evermore.

57. O GOD OUR HELP IN AGES PAST

1. O God, our help in ages past, Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast, And our eternal home.

2. Under the shadow of Thy throne Thy Saints have dwelt secure;
Sufficient is Thine arm alone, And our defence is sure.

3. Before the hills in order stood, Or earth received her frame,
From everlasting Thou art Yah, To endless years the same.

4. A thousand ages in Thy sight Are like an evening gone,
Short as the watch that ends the night Before the rising sun.

5. Time, like an ever-rolling stream, Bears all its sons away;
They fly forgotten, as a dream Dies at the opening day.

6. O God, our help in ages past, Our hope for years to come,
Be Thou our guard while troubles last, And our eternal home.

58. O HAPPY DAY

1. O happy day that fixed my choice, On Thee, my Saviour and my God!
Well may this glowing heart rejoice, And tell its raptures all abroad.

Happy day, happy day, When Yah'shua washed my sins away.
He taught me how to watch and pray, And live rejoicing ev'ry day.
Happy day, happy day, When Yah'shua washed my sins away.

2. 'Tis done this great transaction's done, I am the Lord's and He is mine;
He drew me, and I followed on, Charmed to confess the voice divine.

3. Now rest, my long divided heart! Fixed on this blissful centre, rest;
Nor ever from Yah'shua depart, With Him of ev'ry good possessed.

59. O ISRAEL'S ONE FOUNDATION

1. O Israel's one foundation, Is Yah'shua her Lord;
She is His new creation, By water and the Word:
From heaven He came and sought her, To be His holy Bride,
With His own Blood he bought her, And for her life He died.

2. Elect from every nation, Yet one o'er all the earth,
Her charter of salvation, One Lord, one Faith, one Birth;
One holy Name she blesses, Partakes one holy Food,
And to one hope she presses, With every grace endued.

3. Though with a scornful wonder, Men see her sore opprest,
By schisms rent asunder, By heresies distrest,
Yet Saints their watch are keeping, Their cry goes up, 'How long?'
And soon the night of weeping, Shall be the morn of song.

4. 'Mid toil, and tribulation, And tumult of her war,
She waits the consummation, Of peace for evermore;
Till with the vision glorious, Her longing eyes are blest,
And the great Bride victorious, Shall be the Bride at rest.

5. Yet she on earth hath union, with Yahweh, Echad, One,
And mystic sweet communion, With those whose rest is won:
O happy ones and holy! Yah, give us grace that we
Like them, the meek and lowly, On high may dwell with Thee.

60. ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS

1. Onward Christian soldiers, Marching as to war,
With the Cross of Yah'shua, Going on before.
Christ the royal Master, Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle, See, His banners go!

Onward Christian soldiers, Marching as to war,
With the Cross of Yah'shua, Going on before.

2. At the sign of triumph, Satan's legions flee;
On then, Christian soldiers, On to victory.
Hell's foundations quiver, At the shout of praise;
Brothers, lift your voices, Loud your anthems raise.

3. Like a mighty army, Moves the Church of God;
Brothers, we are treading, Where the Saints have trod;
We are not divided, All one Body we,
One in hope and doctrine, One in charity.

4. Crowns and thrones may perish, Kingdoms rise and wane;
But the Bride of Yah'shua, Constant will remain;
Gates of hell can never, 'Gainst that Bride prevail;
We have Christ's own promise, And that cannot fail.

5. Onward, then, ye people, Join our happy throng,
Blend with ours your voices, In the triumph song;
Glory, laud, and honour, Unto Christ the King;
This through countless ages, Men and angels sing.

61. O PRAISE YE THE LORD

1. O praise ye the Lord! Praise Him in the height;
Rejoice in His Word, Ye angels of light;
Ye heavens, adore Him, By whom ye were made,
And worship before Him, In brigtness arrayed.

2. O praise ye the Lord, Praise Him upon earth,
In tuneful accord, Ye sons of new birth;
Praise Him who hath brought you, His grace from above.
Praise Him who hath taught you, To sing of His love.

3. O praise ye the Lord, All things that give sound;
Each jubilant chord, Re-echo around;
Loud organs, His glory, Forth tell in deep tone,
And sweet harp, the story, Of what He hath done.

4. O praise ye the Lord! Thanksgiving and song,
To Him be outpoured, All ages along;
For love in creation, For heaven restored,
For grace and salvation, O praise ye the Lord!

62. OUR FAMILY, UNITED BY LOVE (NCCG ANTHEM)

1. Our family, united by love,
Black, white, and blue, the banner above;
Has gathered here, Our hearts set aflame,
Fresh tears in our eyes, our God to proclaim:
Alone no more, our Christ to adore:
To sing with our might, the victory in sight.

2. We've suffered long, and often cried,
When those who we love, the truth have denied;
And wicked ones, have taken away,
Our dreams by night, our hopes by day:
But deep within we've always known,
That Christ would restore, our broken hearts once more.

3. And so we gather here today,
to have our tears wiped fully away;
We know that Yah'shua loves us dear,
And if we are true, He'll always be near;
And so we sing to Christ our King;
As one family with voices unitedly.

4. Come, take my hand, embrace me near,
Lead Thou me on, my Saviour dear;
Open the door as wide as can be,
And flood us with love that cometh from Thee:
Halelu-Yah! The angels proclaim,
That Yah'shua is Lord in very deed, and Name.

63. O WORSHIP THE KING

1. O worship the King, All glorious above;
O gratefully sing, His power and His love:
Our Shield and Defender, The Ancient of Days,
Pavillioned in splendour, And girded with praise.

2. O tell of His might, O sing of His grace,
Whose robe is the light, Whose canopy space.
His chariots of wrath, The deep thunder-clouds form,
And dark is His path, On the wings of the storm.

3. This earth, with its store, Of wonders untold,
Almighty, Thy power, Hath founded of old;
Hath stablished it fast, By a changeless decree,
And round it hath cast, Like a mantle, the sea.
4. Thy bountiful care, What tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air, It shines in the light;
It streams from the hills, It descends to the plain,
And sweetly distills, In the dew and the rain.

5. Frail children of dust, And feeble as frail,
In Thee do we trust, Nor find Thee to fail;
Thy mercies how tender! How firm to the end!
Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend.

6. O measureless Might, Ineffable Love,
While Angels delight, To hymn Thee above,
Thy humbler creation, Though feeble their lays,
Shall sing to Thy praise.

64. O FATHER YAH

1. O Father Yah, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy pow'r throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee;
How great Thou art! How great Thou art! ||

2. When through the woods and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze.

3. And when I think that Yah, His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.

4. When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim, O Yah, how great Thou art!

65. ONWARD TO ZION!

1. Onward to Zion, faithful and strong,
Zion the beautiful beckons us on,
Onward and upward battle along,
Zion the beautiful beckons us on.
2. Onward to Zion, to Christ we belong,
With service the watchword, we fight against wrong;
Onward to Zion, march on with a song,
Zion the beautiful beckons us on.

3. We have the promise that that Yah'shua will come,
Zion the beautiful beckons us on,
Let us be faithful, His will be done,
Zion the beautiful beckons us on.

4. Yah'shua the Saviour, meeting the throng,
O may His coming be not delayed long;
To Yah be the glory, to Him lift the song,
Zion the beautiful beckons us on

66. PASS ME NOT, O GENTLE SAVIOUR

1. Pass me not, O gentle Saviour; Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling, Do not pass me by.

Saviour, Saviour, hear my humble cry:
While on others Thou art calling, Do not pass me by.

2. Let me at Thy throne of mercy, Find a sweet relief,
Kneeling there in deep contrition; Help my unbelief.

3. Trusting only in Thy merit, I would seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit; Save me by Thy grace.

4. Thou, the spring of all my comfort, More than life to me;
Whom have I on earth beside Thee? Whom in heav'n but Thee?

67. PEACE, PERFECT PEACE

1. Peace, perfect peace, in this dark world of sin:
The blood of Yah'shua whispers peace within.

2. Peace, perfect peace, by thronging duties pressed:
To do the will of Yah'shua, this is rest.

3. Peace, perfect peace, with sorrows surging round:
On Yah'shua's bosom naught but calm is found.

4. Peace, perfect peace, with loved ones far away:
In Yah'shua's keeping we are safe, and they.

5. Peace, perfect peace, our future all unknown:
Yah'shua we know, and He is on the throne.

6. It is enough; earth's struggles soon shall cease,
And Yah'shua call us to heav'n's perfect peace.

68. PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM

1. Praise Him, praise Him, All you little children,
Yah is love, Yah is love! (x2)

Yah is love, Yah is love! (x2)

69. PRAISE MY SOUL THE KING OF HEAVEN

1. Praise, my soul, the King of Heaven;
To His feet thy tribute bring.
Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
Who like me His praise should sing?
Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise the everlasting King.

2. Praise Him for His grace and favour,
To our fathers in distress;
Praise Him still the same forever,
Slow to chide, and swift to bless.
Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him!
Glorious in His faithfulness.

3. Father-like, he tends and spares us,
Well our feeble frame He knows;
In His hands He gently bears us,
Rescues us from all our foes.
Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him!
Widely as His mercy flows.

4. Angels, help us to adore Him;
Ye behold Him face to face;
Sun and moon, bow down before Him;
Dwellers all in time and space.
Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise with us Elohim's grace.

70. PRAISE YAH FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW

Praise Yah from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below;
Praise Him above ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.

71. PRAISE YAHWEH FOR GOODNESS

1. Praise Yahweh for goodness, Praise Yahweh for Light;
Praise Yahweh for mercy, Praise Yahweh for sight.
Praise Yahweh ye sinners, Praise Yahweh aright;
Praise Yahweh in glory, Praise Yahweh in might!

2. Seek Yahweh ye people, Seek Him day and night;
Never give up searching, never yield the fight.
Stretch your arms to Heaven, Let your life be true;
If you stay with Yah'shua, He will stay with you.

3. Praise Him without ceasing, Dwell not on your plight;
Let your hearts be broken, Spirits, all contrite.
Then your lives will open, Like the sun so bright;
And your souls will glory, In our Yah of Light.

72. PRIDE RUINED ME

1. Pride ruined me, It crowned me with deceit;
Then Yah'shua came unto me, And washed my feet.

2. Come Yah'shua, Lord, Into my lonely heart,
And fill it with your love forever more.

My soul cried, 'Save me, dear Lord, else I shall die;
I -- have -- no place -- to go -- than Thee.'

3. He said to me, 'My blood will make you free,
Take up your cross at once and follow Me.'

4. O happy day! When Yah'shua showed me the way;
I'll love Him all my days, and praise His name!

73. REJOICE YAH'SHUA IS KING

1. Rejoice, Yah'shua is King, Your Lord and King adore;
Mortals, give thanks and sing, And triumph evermore;

Lift up your heart, lift up your voice;
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice.

2. Yah'shua, Messiah, reigns, The God of truth and love;
When He had purged our stains, He took His seat above:

3. His kingdom cannot fail, He rules o'er the earth and heaven;
The keys of death and hell, Are to our Yah'shua given:

4. He sits at Yah's right hand, Till all His foes submit,
And bow to His command, And fall beneath His feet:

74. RISE UP, O SAINTS OF YAH

1. Rise up, O saints of Yah! Have done with lesser things;
Give heart and soul and mind and strength, To serve the King of kings.

2. Rise up, O saints of Yah! His Kingdom tarries long;
Bring in the day of brotherhood, And end the night of wrong.

3. Rise up, O saints of Yah! The Bride for you doth wait,
Her strength unequal to her task; Rise up and make her great!

75. ROCK OF AGES

1. Rock of ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee;
From the Water and the Blood, From Thy riven side which flowed,
Be of sin the double cure, Cleanse me from its guilt and power.

2. Not the labours of my hands, Can fulfil thy law's demands;
Could my zeal no respite know, Could my tears for ever flow,
All for sin could not atone; Thou must save, and Thou alone.

3. Nothing in my hand I bring, Simply to Thy cross I cling;
Naked, come to Thee for dress; Helpless, look to Thee for grace;
Foul, I to the fountain fly; Wash me, Yah'shua, or I die.

4. When I draw this fleeting breath, When mine eyes are closed in death,
When I soar through tracts unknown,See Thee on Thy judgment throne;
Rock of ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee.

Blessed Yah'shua, blessed Yah'shua, Thou hast bought us, Thine are we;
Blessed Yah'shua, blessed Yah'shua, Thou hast bought us, Thine are we.

2. We are Thine; do Thou befriend us, Be the Guardian of our way;

Blessed Yah'shua, blessed Yah'shua, Hear Thy children when they pray;
Blessed Yah'shua, blessed Yah'shua, Hear Thy children when they pray.

3. Thou hast promised to receive us, Poor and sinful though we be;

Blessed Yah'shua, blessed Yah'shua, Early let us turn to Thee;
Blessed Yah'shua, blessed Yah'shua, Early let us turn to Thee.

1. Shall we gather at the river, Where bright angel feet have trod,
With its crystal tide for ever, Flowing by the throne of God.

Yes, we'll gather at the river,
The beautiful, the beautiful river,
Gather with the saints at the river,
That flows by the throne of God.

2. On the margin of the river, Washing up its silver spray,
We will walk and worship ever, All the happy, golden day.

3. Ere we reach the shining river, Lay we ev'ry burden down;
Grace our spirits will deliver, And provide a robe and a crown.

4. Soon we'll reach the silver river, Soon our pilgrimage will cease;
Soon our happy hearts will quiver, With the melody of peace.

5. At the smiling of the river, Mirror of the Saviour's face,
Saints whom death will never sever, Lift their songs of saving grace.

79. SHALL WE GATHER HOME TO ZION

1. Shall we gather home to Zion; Will our wand'rings soon be over?
Shall we cease our tears and sighing, Shall we rest forever more?
Will Messiah come to save us, From the power of the foe?
Will He come, and will He have us, His salvation fully know?

Yes, we'll gather home to Zion
Our beautiful, our beautiful Zion!
Gather with the saints up to Zion,
And be saved in the Kingdom of Yah.

2. Will He come as Judah's Lion, Will the wicked He destroy?
Will He take us home to Zion, Filling us with peace and joy?
Shall we live with Him forever, Shall we see Him as He is?
Shall we from Him part? No, never! He will call each dear one His!

3. Shall we rest with our Redeemer, In the Paradise of Yahweh?
Let us walk with patience ever, In the path our Saviour trod.
Let us be no longer sleeping, For the day is near at hand;
Let us each our watch be keeping, As a firm united band.

Then we'll dwell with saints in Zion,
Our beautiful, our beautiful Zion!
Happy with the saints up in Zion,
And rejoice in the Kingdom of Yah.

Radiant beams from Thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Yah'shua, Lord at Thy birth (2).

A shining light to the peoples of the earth;
Till the whole world sees the glory of Your Name,

A healing balm to the peoples of the earth;

Till the whole world knows that Yah'shua is Messiah,
May Your Kingdom come in us.
May Your Kingdom come on earth.

From victory unto victory, His army he shall lead,
Till every foe is vanquished, And Yah'shua's Lord indeed.

2. Stand up, stand up for Yah'shua, The trumpet call obey;
Forth to the mighty conflict, In this His glorious day:
Ye that are men, now serve Him, Against unnumbered foes;
Your courage rise with danger, And strength to strength oppose.

3. Stand up, stand up for Yah'shua, Stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own;
Put on the gospel armour, Each piece put on with prayer;
Where duty calls, or danger, Be never wanting there.

4. Stand up, stand up for Yah'shua, The strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle, The next the victor's song:
To him that overcometh, A crown of life shall be;
He with the King of glory, Shall live eternally.

2. Stand up, stand up for Yah'shua, Stand in His strength alone,
Without His help we falter; We dare not trust our own.

His Ruach will protect us, From ev'ry danger there.

3. When there is need for service, Be quick to volunteer,
Our hearts and hands are needed, To help the weak ones here.

To reign in pow'r and glory, According to Yah's plan;
The wicked then shall tremble, But faithful saints shall see
The triumph of His Kingdom, And live eternally.

83. SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER

1. Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer,
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father's throne,
Make all my wants and wishes known!
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief,
And oft escaped the tempter's snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer.

2. Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer,
Thy wings shall my petition bear
To Him, whose truth and faithfulness,
Engage the waiting soul to bless.
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His Word, and trust His grace,
I'll cast on Him my ev'ry care
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer.

With which this tincture, 'for Thy sake', Will not grow bright and clean.

To all I do, O Yah my King, A consciousness of Thee. Amen.

85. TELL ME THE OLD, OLD STORY

1. Tell me the old, old story, Of unseen things above,
Of Yah'shua and His glory, Of Yah'shua and His love.
Tell me the story simply, As to a little child,
For I am weak and weary, And helpless and defiled.

Tell me the old, old story (3x)
Of Yah'shua and His love.

2. Tell me the story slowly, That I may take it in -
That wonderful redemption, Yah's remedy for sin.
Tell me the story often, For I forget so soon;
The early dew of morning, Has passed away at noon.

3. Tell me the story softly, With earnest tones and grave;
Remember, I'm the sinner, Whom Yah'shua came to save.
Tell me that story always, If you would really be,
In any time of trouble, A comforter to me.

4. Tell me the same old story, When you have cause to fear
That this world's empty glory, Is costing me too dear.
Yes, and when that world's glory, Shall dawn upon my soul,
Tell me the old, old story, Messiah Yah'shua makes whole.

86. TELL ME THE STORIES OF YAH'SHUA

1. Tell me the stories of Yah'shua I love to hear,
Things I would ask Him to tell me if He were here;
Scenes by the wayside, tales by the sea,
Stories of Yah'shua, tell them to me.

2. First let me hear how the children stood round His knee,
And I shall fancy His blessing resting on me;
Words full of kindness, deeds full of grace,
All in the lovelight of Yah'shua's face.

Waving a branch of a palm tree high in my hand;
One of His heralds, yes I would sing:
'Loudest Hosannas! Yah'shua is King!'

And on His shoulder gently laid, And home, rejoicing, brought me.

Thy rod and staff my comfort still, Thy Cross before to guide me.

5. Thou spread'st a table in my sight; Thy unction grace bestoweth,
And O what transport of delight, From Thy pure chalice floweth.

6. And so through all the length of days, Thy goodness faitheth never;
Good Shepherd, may I sing Thy praise, Within Thy House for ever.

88. THE OLD RUGGÈD CROSS

1. On a hill far away, stood an old ruggèd cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross, where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I'll cherish the old ruggèd cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old ruggèd cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

2. Oh that old ruggèd cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above,
To bear it to dark Calvary.

3. In that old ruggèd cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see;
For t'was on that old cross Yah'shua suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.
4. To the old ruggèd cross, I will ever be true,
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He'll call me some day, to my home far away,
Where His glory for ever I'll share.

89. THERE IS NO SWEETER RING

There is no sweeter ring
There is no song I'd rather sing;
Than the song of my Saviour dear,
Yah'shua my King.

1. I'll sing to His Holy Name, Yah'shua ever the same;
Lord from all eternity, He who suffered, bled, and died for me.
Who could ever praise with timid voice, He who took the most painful choice;
To break His heart for you and me, On Calvary.

Chorus

2. Love never won a victory, so great as Yah'shua won for me;
So let us sing, 'Halelu-Yah! Praise His Name, Holy Messiah!'
There is no greater prize in life, No better way from pain and strife;
Than the arms of Yah'shua, Christ, Son of Yah.

3. I'll sing day and night to Thee, I'll sacrifice my life for Thee;
I'll live by Your every Word, Yah'shua my Lord.

90. THERE'S AN OLD, OLD PATH

Life's dark storm clouds, From its home of blue,

In this old, old path, made strangely sweet
By the touch divine of His blessed feet.

2. Find the old, old path, 'Twill be ever new,
For the Saviour walks, All the way with you,

3. In this old, old path, Are my friends most dear,
And I walk with them, With the angels near,

4. 'Tis an old, old path, Shadowed vales between,
Yet I fearless walk with the Nazarene,

91. THERE'S SUNSHINE IN MY SOUL TODAY

1. There's sunshine in my soul today, More glorious and bright
Than glows in any earthly sky, For Yah'shua is my light.

Oh there's sunshine, blessèd sunshine,
When the peaceful happy moments roll,
When Yah'shua shows His smiling face,
There is sunshine in my soul.

2. There's music in my soul today, A carol to my King,
And Yah'shua listening can hear, The songs I cannot sing.

3. There's springtime in my soul today, For where the Lord is near,
The dove of peace sings in my heart, The flowers of grace appear.

4. There's gladness in my soul today, And hope and praise and love,
For blessings which He gives me now, For joys 'laid up' above.

92. THIS IS MY SONG

1. This is my song, O God of all the nations,
A song of peace for lands afar and mine.
My land is home, the country where my heart is:
A land of hopes, of dreams, of grand design;
But other hearts in other lands are beating
With homes and dreams as true and high as mine.

2. My country's skies are bluer than the ocean,
And sunlight beams on cloverleaf and pine.
But other lands have sunlight too, and clover,
And skies are ev'rywhere as blue as mine.
Oh, hear my song, Thou God of all the nations,
A song of peace for their land and for mine.

3. This is my prayer, O Lord of all earth's kingdoms,
Thy Kingdom come; on earth Thy will be done.
Let Christ be lifted up till all shall serve Him,
And hearts united learn to live as one.
O hear my prayer, Thou God of all the nations,
Myself I give Thee; let Thy will be done. Amen.

93. THOU ART WORTHY

1. Thou art worthy, Thou art worthy, Thou art worthy, O Yah;
To receive glory, glory and honour, glory and honour and power.
For Thou hast created, Hast all things created, For Thou hast created all things.
And for Thy pleasure they are created, Thou art worthy, O Yah!

94. TO YAH BE THE GLORY

1. To Yah be the glory, great things He hath done,
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life-gate that all may go in.

Praise to Yah! Praise to Yah!
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise to Yah! Praise to Yah!
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father,
Through Yah'shua the Son,
And give Him the glory,
Great things He hath done.

2. O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of Yah;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Yah'shua a pardon receives.

3. Great things He hath taught us, hreat things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing in Yah'shua the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Yah'shua we see.

95. TRUST AND OBEY

1. When we walk with the Lord in the Light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, he abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey, For there's no other way,
To be happy in Yah'shua, But to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise, Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, Not a sigh nor a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear, Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief not a loss, Not a frown nor a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.

4. But we never can prove, The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favour He shows, And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet, We will sit at His feet,
Or we'll walk by His side in the Way;
What He says we will do, Where He sends we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.

96. WE'LL SING ALL HAIL TO YAH'SHUA'S NAME

1. We'll sing all hail to Yah'shua's Name, And praise and honour give
To Him who bled on Calvary's hill, And died that we might live.

2. He passed the portals of the grave; Salvation was His song;
He called upon the sin-bound soul, To join the heavenly throng.

3. He seized the keys of death and hell, And crushed the serpent's head;
He bid the prison doors unfold, The grave yield up her dead.

4. The bread and wine represent, His sacrifice for sin;
Ye Saints partake and testify, Ye do remember Him.

5. The Eucharist the soul inspires, And calms the human breast,
Points to the time when faithful Saints, Shall enter into rest.

6. Then hail, all hail, to such a Prince, Who saves us by His blood!
He's marked the way and bids us tread, The path that He has trod.

97. WE PRAISE THEE, O YAH!

1. We praise Thee, O Yah, for the Son of Thy love,
For Yah'shua who died, and is now gone above.

Halelu-Yah! Thine the glory,
Halelu-Yah! Amen
Halelu-Yah! Thine the glory,
Revive us again.

2. We praise Thee, O Yah, for Thy Ruach of Light,
Who hath shown us our Saviour, and scattered our night.

3. All glory and praise to the Lamb that was slain,
Who hath born all our sins, and hath cleansed every stain.

4. Revive us again; fill each heart with Thy love;
May each soul be rekindled with fire from above.

98. WE'RE MARCHING TO ZION

1. Come, we that love the Lord, And let our joys be known,
Join in a song with sweet accord, Join in a song with sweet accord,
And thus surround the thone, And thus surround the throne.

We're marching to Zion, beautiful, beautiful Zion,
We're marching upward to Zion, the beautiful city of God.

2. Let those refuse to sing, Who never knew our God;
But children of the heav'nly King, But children of the heav'nly King,
May speak their joys abroad, May speak their joys abroad.

3. The hill of Zion yields a thousand sacret sweets,
Before we reach the heav'nly fields, Before we reach the heav'nly fields,
Or walk the golden streets, Or walk the golden streets.

4. Then let our songs abound and ev'ry tear be dry;
We're marching through Emmanuel's ground,
We're marching through Emmanuel's ground,
To fairer worlds on high, To fairer worlds on high.

99. WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN YAH'SHUA

1. What a friend we have in Yah'shua, All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry, Everything to Yah in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry, Everything to Yah in prayer!

2. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged, Take it to Yah'shua in prayer.
Can we find a friend to faithful, Who will all our sorrows share?
Yah'shua knows our every weakness, Take it to Yah'shua in prayer.

3. Are we weak and heavy laden, Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Saviour, still our refuge, Take it to Yah'shua in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to Yah'shua in prayer;
In His arms He'll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there.

100. WHEN I SURVEY THE WONDROUS CROSS

1. When I survey the wondrous cross, On which the Prince of Glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride.

2. Forbid it, Yah, that I should boast, Save in the death of Yah'shua my God:
All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood.

3. See! from His head, His hands, His feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down!
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet, Or thorns compose so rich a crown.

4. Where the whole realm of nature mine, That were an off'ring far too small:
Love so amazing, so Divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all.

101. YAH DISMISS US WITH THY BLESSING

1. Yah, dismiss us with Thy blessing, Fill our hearts with joy and peace;
Let us each, Thy love possessing, Triumph in redeeming grace.
O refresh us, O refresh us, Traveling through this wilderness (x2).

2. Thanks we give, and adoration, For the gospel's joyful sound;
May the fruits of Thy salvation, In our hearts and lives abound.
Ever faithful, Ever faithful, To the truth may we be found (x2).

102. YAH'SHUA BIDS US SHINE

1. Yah'shua bids us shine, With a pure clear light,
Like a little candle, Burning in the night;
In this world of darkness, So we must shine;
You in your small corner, and I in mine.

2. Yah'shua bids us shine, First of all for Him:
Well He sees and knows it, If our light grows dim.
He looks down from Heaven, To see us shine,
You in your small corner, and I in mine.

3. Yah'shua bids us shine, Then for all around:
Many kinds of darkness in this world are found;
Sin and want and sorrow, So we must shine,
You in your small corner, and I in mine.

4. Yah'shua bids us shine, As we work for Him,
Bringing those that wander, From the paths of sin;
He will ever help us, If we shine,
You in your small corner, and I in mine.

5. Yah'shua bids us shine, In His temple, pure,
Teaching us to love Him, And the world endure;
Filling us with wisdom, So that we might shine,
You in your small corner, and I in mine.

103. YAH'SHUA THE VERY THOUGHT OF THEE

1. Yah'shua, the very thought of Thee
With sweetness fills my breast;
But sweeter far Thy face to see,
And in Thy presence rest.

2. Nor voice can sing, nor heart can frame,
Nor can the memory find,
A sweeter sound than Thy blessed Name,
O Saviour of mankind!

3. O hope of every contrite heart,
O joy of all the meek,
To those who fall, how kind Thou art!
How good to those who seek!

4. But what to those who find? Ah! this
Nor tongue nor pen can show;
The love of Yah'shua! what it is,
None but His loved ones know.

5. Yah'shua, our only joy be Thou,
As Thou our prize will be;
Yah'shua, be Thou our glory now,
And through eternity.

104. YAH'SHUA, YAH'SHUA FILL US WITH YOUR LOVE

Yah'shua, Yah'shua, fill us with Your love,
Show us how to serve, the neighbours we have from You.

1. Kneels at the feet of His friends, Silently washes their feet,
Master who acts as a slave to them.

2. Neighbours are rich folk and poor; Neighbours and black, brown, and white;
Neighbours are nearby and far away.

These are the neighbours to us and You.

This is the way we should live with You.

105. YAH'SHUA IS RISEN TODAY

1. Yah'shua is ris'n today, Ha-le-lu-Yah!
Sons of men and angels say, Ha-le-lu-Yah!
Raise your joys and triumph high; Ha-le-lu-Yah!
Sing, ye heav'ns, and earth reply, Ha-le-lu-Yah!

2. Love's redeeming work is done, Ha-le-lu-Yah!
Fought the fight, the victory won, Ha-le-lu-Yah!
Yah'shua's agony is o'er. Ha-le-lu-Yah!
Darkness veils the earth no more, Ha-le-lu-Yah!

3. Lives again our glorious King, Ha-le-lu-Yah!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Ha-le-lu-Yah!
Once He died our souls to save; Ha-le-lu-Yah!
Where thy victory, O grave? Ha-le-lu-Yah!

106. YAH'SHUA LOVES ME THIS I KNOW

My head Thou doet with oil anoint, And my cup overflows.

Since Thou art my Guardian, no evil I fear.
Thy rod shall defend me; Thy staff be my stay;
No harm can befall, with my Comforter near (x2).

With blessings unmeasured my cup runneth o'er.

O what shall I ask of Thy providence more? (x2)

108. YE ZAQENIM OF ISRAEL

1. Ye Zaqenim of Israel, come now join with me,
And seek out the righteous wher e'er they may be:
In desert, on mountain, on land, or on sea,
And bring them to Zion, the pure and the free.

O Babylon, O Babylon, we bid thee farewell,
We're going to the mountain of Zion to dwell.

2. The harvest is great, and the labourers few,
But if we're united, we all things can do;
We'll gather the wheat from the midst of the tares,
And bring them from bondage, from sorrows and snares.

3. We'll go to the poor, like our Captain of old,
And visit the weary, the hungry, and cold;
We'll cheer up their hearts with the news that He bore,
And point them to Zion and life evermore.

109. YOU MAY SING OF THE BEAUTY

1. You may sing of the beauty of mountain and dale,
Of the silvery streamlet and flow'rs of the vale,
But the place most delightful this earth can afford
Is the place of devotion, the House of the Lord.

2. You may boast of the sweetness of day's early dawn,
Of the skies' soft'ning graces where day is just gone,
But there's no other season or place can compare
With the House of devotion, the season of prayer.

3. You may value the friendship of youth and of age,
And select for your comrades the noble and sage,
But the friends that most cheer me on life's ruggèd road
Are the friends of my Master, the children of God.
