. People have speculated as to what the Divine Name actually translates to, the most common one being 'the One who calls into being', or even 'the Ultimate Reality', but I think even these fall short of the summum bonum or totality of His being. The YHW or Yahw' abbreviation is, I think, one of the most interesting, because in Semitic languages like Arabic it means 'the passionate' or 'the one who loves passionately'. No wonder Yahweh and His servants are called 'zealous' because they are, above all, consumed with passion - a passion for truth, light, love, Torah, holiness, righeousness, and all that describe the being or personality of the Most High. That is their driving force - and it is the driving force of this Mishpachah.
A knowledge and understanding of the Gospel - the Good News - of Yahweh and His Kingdom always eludes people until they have touched and met this holy passion. What joins the overcoming nation of Israel together - what binds the hearts of the fathers to the sons, and the sons to the fathers - is, firstly, a passionate and overriding love for Yahweh, and secondly, this passionate concern for the well-being and welfare of the brotherhood. Have you ever wondered what David meant when he said:
"How the mighty have fallen in battle! Jonathan lies slain on your heights. I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother; you were very dear to me. Your love for me was wonderful, more wonderful than that of women" (2 Sam.1:25-26, NIV).
You may well know that pedophile pervert Oscar Wilde, who took his filthy pleasure with small boys and others, citied this passage of Scripture at his trial in defence of his evil activities. However, the relationship between David and Jonathan was not a sexual one - notice that he called Jonathan his 'brother', not his 'lover'. So what is this love that he speaks of, which he claims is "more wonderful than that of women"? And is he denigrating women's love? Considering what the rest of the Bible says about husband-wife love, including a whole book in the form of the Song of Solomon, this cannot be a denigration. Here was a man, Jonathan, who was faithful and loyal to all his life even in the face of his murderous father, Saul. What bound the two men together was a mutual passion for the truth, a mutual passion for holiness, and a mutual passion for purity. These men were lovers of Yahweh and of Torah into whose gender these principles had been given for the preservation and propagation of the nation. The love is 'greater' not because men are greater or more loving than women but because the relationship is consecrated within the context of patriarchy which is designed to protect, nurture and preserve the male-female bond. The love present is not man- but Yahweh-generated for the purpose of building and protecting the family and nation, so it is greater for that purpose. Yahweh pours this special love into the male-to-male relationship precisely so that male-to-female relationships may flourish. The husband-wife relationship is only safe when there is proper spiritual unity between brethren, as David also testified in a whole Psalm:
"How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there Yahweh bestows His blessing, even life forevermore" (Ps 133, NIV).
We often speak of the challenges and difficulties in building marriage relationships in this ministry but we must not forget or diminish the critical importance of the spiritual echad relationship between men in Yahweh. Woman to woman relationships are a little different though no less intense or important in their proper order and sphere. Yah'shua stressed the vital importance of this echad unity in His High Priestly prayer shortly before His arrest and death (Jn.11). This unity between brethren is where "Yahweh bestows His blessing, even life forevermore". Therefore before Messianic Israel can have truly strong and spiritually balanced marriages, there must be this Spirit of Elijah in place. John the Baptist had to minister it in a national covenant of renewal through water baptism or immersion for repentance before Yah'shua, the Bridegroom, could come to collect His allegorical Bride. Therefore John called the men of the nation to get right with Yahweh and with each other before their Messiah could come to them.
In a way, the relationships between Elijah and Elishah, and between David and Jonathan, illustrate this pinnacle of sacred bonding between men. In these two examples we have a father-son and a son-son or brother-brother relationship where intense love prevails. When men, who have been given authority by Yahweh to manage the affairs of their families, clans, tribes and nations dwell in unity in loving Yahweh, His Torah and each other, the scene is set for prosperity in every sphere of life. It is only when these relationships start to crumble that the nation in its turn begins to disintegrate, because when you destroy fraternal and paternal bonds, every man will go and do his 'own thing' and forget about his neighbour. And given that there are usually three generations alive at any one time, there must then be unity between sons, fathers and grandfathers. They are supposed to be together, in cooperative headship, in pure unfailing love, not split and sent off to old people's homes or dumped into the world without proper rooting, or engaged in generational feuds based on beliefs in different sets of worldly values. The sons need the experience and wisdoms of their fathers, and the fathers of their own fathers, because wisdom is not acquired in a day, a year or even a decade. We need the practical wisdom of those who have lived a lifetime, so the men need the grandfathers too, and the women the grandmothers.
If you wish to understand how that relationship should be built, then understand the vision I shared with you last Wednesday. Part of our restoring work is not just to build firm and loving marriages between men and women, but firm and loving bonds between grandfathers, fathers and sons. As they bond correctly, so too will the women with each other. The family must be strengthened at every level, and the work of the Spirit of Elijah is to do this. Fathers must prepare the way for their sons so that the sacred traditions are preserved and strengthened. It takes only one generation gap for the work of a whole dispensation to be wasted which is why Satan went about destroying that in the 1960's. If each father gave a double portion of the Ruach to his son as Elijah did to Elisha, imagine what the result would be! Imagine what kind of men we would have! We would have not only mightily endowed maturer fathers but mightily endowed younger fathers and sons too!
King Ahab is the very antithesis of the Spirit of Elijah. His ruling spirituality was the spirit of Antichrist. He was not a redeemer of his nation let alone his own family. He made the fatal and costly mistake of marrying not only an unbeliever but a witch too. The Scriptures say that he did more evil than any other King of Israel in spite of being shown wonderous things and in spite of being offered grace and pardon again and again.
King Ahab met his death in battle, disguised as an ordinary foot soldier so that the enemy would not recognise him, even though he persuaded his Judahite ally to go into battle in full royal regalia. Yahweh sought Ahab out, the arrow of an archer found its mark between a crack in his armour, the Ahab died of his wound (1 Ki.22:34). His cowardice and attempt to mingle with his soldiers unobserved failed because Yahweh sees all things. The prophecies given through Elijah and Micaiah were fulfilled and the man who was shown so many miracles yet refused to repent met his just end. Elohim will not be mocked when His grace is spurned. As Paul reminds us:
"Do not be deceived: Elohim cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Ruach, from the Ruach will reap eternal life" (Gal.6:7-8, NIV).
The patience and loving kindness of our Elohim is great and we can get so used to sinning without Him doing anything for a long time that we can delude ourselves into believing that He doesn't care any more and will just keep on letting us sin and sin without any consequences to ourselves. Do not believe that lie. Remember the flood. Remember how even the angels deluded themselves into thinking that Yahweh was inept and indecisive so that they rebelled and kept coming to earth to defile the human race. But Yahweh was not inept or indecisive even though it appeared so to the carnal eye. He was waiting, giving mankind its chance to repent before exceuting His fierce judgment.
I often look at people I am ministering to and wonder what they are thinking. I see rage simmering inside them. They think they have it under control, they think they can maintain the uneasy peace of the vicious and hungry lion by holding it on a thin piece of string. I look into their eyes and I see what is coming. But I also see the delusion - the delusion that they have control and needn't repent because, after all, they have been able to 'manage' everything up until now. What they don't see is Yahweh's malakim or angels holding the devourer back, just as He is holding them back now from executing justice on a planet of people steeped in every manner of wickedness, rebellion and sin. He is restraining Satan from individuals and the whole world to give both the opportunity to repent. Consider these words of the apostle Paul which, though cosmic in scope, also refer to you and me as individuals if we do not repent:
"For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom Yahweh will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason Elohim will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 Thess.2:7-12, NKJV).
Why is lawlessness or Torahlessness called a 'mystery'? A mystery is a secret which is imposed either by a religious rite or by Yahweh Himself. It is something purposefully hidden. We know, from the Genesis account, that Adam and Eve were not supposed to partake of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. Evil has its own mystery. No loving parent in his or her right mind would wish his child to be initiated into the mysteries of evil. It was never Yahweh's intent that we come to a knowledge of evil. All that He made was good in its original pure state. Everything that man needed to be happy was present and nothing was hidden from him. He was able to partake of every fruit in the Garden of Eden except that one type - the type which, when eaten, destroys innocence and purity and opens man's eyes to Satan's 'mysteries'. Satan's greatest lure and temptation is to entice us into the unknown. Please understand that there are no 'unknowns' with Yahweh, no mysteries, because He knows everything. He knows what is needful for us and what is not. It only took one angel to step into the unknown to open a Pandoras's box of woe upon mankind. All that we need to know is to be found in the fruit of the Tree of Life.
What was it that led Lucifer from light and into darkness? We often say it was pride, but do we know where that pride came from? Let me ask you: what is 'pride'? Pride starts innocuously enough at the beginning as a feeling of honour and self-respect and a consciousness of self-worth. All worth comes from Yahweh, because He alone is 'worthy'. And He is worthy because He has proven His love by slaying all self-interest by dying for us on the Cross as the Lamb of Atonement (Rev.5:12) Pride takes root and grows when we start looking at self for a purpose other than to see that we have all we need in Yahweh. Pride is born when we start looking for self-esteem in anything but the Creator, and this leads to conceit. What is conceit? Conceit is a high or exaggerated opinion of oneself or one's accomplishments. Conceit is born when we start taking credit for what we have done or who we think we are. Conceit is not based in reality. Yahweh is reality and everything is defined by Him because everything is relative to Him. We are creatures, He is the Creator.
Lucifer fell when he started looking at himself and decided he could better definine himself than his Creator. He began to wonder whether, in fact, there was 'more' than he had been told. This led to a chain-reaction which led him to believe that he might, after all, be equal to Yahweh Himself. He believed that since he had been made by Him that he must essentially be of the same substance. He concluded, because nothing happened - no sudden judgment, no sudden punishment - that since he was getting away with these thoughts that Yahweh knew he was right and sensed He could be equalled, if not toppled. As more time passed and as Yahweh did nothing, he grew bolder in his resolve and came to believe that he could become master of the universe himself. With these thoughts, that precious heart-life and love that he had had for the Creator stopped going out to Him in praise and adoration as the other angels did, and like manna in the desert, began to die in him. You see, he thought that love, once given to him, was somehow an immortal possession! What he did not understand was that as a creature, he possessed no immortality or love of his own! And like the manna that the people tried to hoard, it went rotten. Love outside of Yahweh dies, brethren and sisters. Try to understand this one truth and you will save yourselves so much misery. Love outside of Yahweh dies because Yahweh is the only immortal Being in the Universe. And then learn this truth: We can only retain love and immortality by returning it to the Creator! Why? Because everything that leaves His presence dies! Lucifer thought that love was immortal in mortal beings, including angrld, brcause angels are not immortal! Powerful, yes, but not immortal outside Yahweh's presence.
Let us return to the vision I shared with you last Wednesday - the one of the fathers all kneeling befrore Yah'shua with one face and with the other facing their wives and children acting as their family priest. How does this system work? By going into His presence and submitting to Him through Yah'shua, Yahweh fills the hearts of the fathers with love. This love impells the fathers. They eat the heavenly manna of love and are refreshed. But Yahweh, being the Elohim of Multiplication, causes that the men should have far more than they actually need to live because the men are called to imitate Him and pass it on. The men pass it on to their wives who in the same fashion pass it on to their children. What of the love that the wives return to their husbands? What do they do with it? If the husbands are in Yahweh, they return it to Yahweh and He returns it sevenfold to them. When their wives give all their love to their husbands, the husbands return sevenfold what they have given because they have themselves received sevenfold from Yah'shua, and loves impells them to do this! This is the mystery of the Firstborn. It is how pride and self die because the true servant of the Most High who is receiving love from humans is by default returning it to Yahweh as a praise offering, and the one who is receiving love from Yahweh is passing it straight on to others - wives, children, brethren and sisters. To hoard love is to die. To hoard love is to imitate the way of Satan and to make yourself to be a god or goddess. To dispense love received from others to others without returning it to Yahweh is to claim independence from Yahweh. And the spirit that causes you to do that is a 'religious spirit' because it seeks glory for itself. It is saying: "If you love me, I will love you". What does the true Ruach haQodesh causes us to say? "I will love you because I love Yahweh!" Period. The true believer is so absorbed in receiving love from Yahweh, giving it on to others, and then returning what others give to them back to Yahweh that they don't have time to dwell on self at all. The whole New Age culture of meditation on self is the antithesis of the truth because it exalts self. It either hogs love to itself (which turns rotten and dies) or it passes it on to others with a view to being worshipped. The loving of others without acknowledge the true Source and returning it is blasphemy and idolatry that leads to death.
The love, attention and recognition that Satan demanded and got from the other angelic hosts who listened to and believed him after he had declared himself self-sufficient, died. It was not revitalised by the only One who had the power to do so. It stagnated, went rotten, and vanished. And because the heart cannot live without love, it grows cold, insensitive, uncaring, and dies. Once this happened to Lucifer, he suddenly became a very powerful angel without a heart. He had his psychic powers - his 'charisma', if you like - but he had no love. The psychic life substituted for the dead love and energised the heart into hate, rage, and furious anger. Because of his venture into the unknown and making a false supposition about being equal to Yahweh, he lost everything. And when people think the same way as Satan, they acquire a satanic nature. And in order not to die, they must plunder love by force, stealth and deceit. To do that Satan used his intelligence to become a master actor. He started persuadding angels, and finally people, to pretend to be what they are not and to deny reality. By denying reality you cut yourself off from the Ultimate Reality and the only provider of love. He alone possesses it, remember? And He alone can dispense it. You can survive on the love which you have received as a free gift from a true servant of Yahweh for a while, but if you don't return it, it will die.
Two days ago my wife saw inside the Garden and was looking at my tree - the tree that represents me. It was a large tree covered in branches and her attention was drawn to one branch in particular. It was covered in flowers - beautiful flowers, hundreds of them. And then, one by one, the flowers began to drop off, and then the leaves, and then the branch whithered and finally the branch dropped off altogether. What she was being shown symbolically was a person who was grafted into me. That person - the branch - had received the sap (love) from the trunk - myself - and had become alive and blossomed. Why did the flowers fall off? To answer that question we must ask another: what are flowers for?
It is the height of summer now and our garden is full of them. Everywhere is a sea of colour. Every week we pick flowers and make a floral arrangement on the dining room table. Currently we have vases full of white narcissi which fills the room with this wonderful scent. After a few days, what happens? The flowers begin to whither and die. What do we then do with them? Well, they are no use to us anymore, and we throw them away. So let me ask you another question: what is the difference between the picked flowers and the ones that remain in the garden? What happens to the flowers when they die? Have they been a failure? By no means! They have been a great success and have fulfilled their purpose! And what is that purpose? The ultimate purpose of the flowers is not to produce scent and give us beauty, though they are given for that too. The ultimate purpose of the flower is to allow the plant to be fruitful! Its ultimate purpose is to produce SEED! The success of a plant is measured in terms of what it produces and the scent and beauty are merely incidental to a greater purpose.
The ideal man or woman is not, however, represented biblically as any old kind of plant but specifically trees that produce fruits. In the Garden we both pluck and give flowers as tokens of our love but also we produce fruit trees. Please note that the father or husband does not eat his own fruits. His Garden exists solely to bless others as a shelter and as a place of nourishment and love. Similarly, the gardens which he covers exists not to provide fruit for the owners of those gardens but for those who enter those gardens as children. We do NOT exist for ourselves. We are to sow the seeds of our Heavenly Father and our earthly fathers and husbands and become PRODUCTIVE in order to bless others. We are blessed only as we give. We curse when we think only of ourselves and produce only for ourselves. If we produce fruit to lure others into our trap - and there's only one fruit that can serve that purpse - the fruit if the knowledge of good and evil - then we are acting as Satan. We are behaving as Satan.- We become actors in a play designed to trick in order to get control over others and, as we erroneously suppose, life for ourselves through other people's praises and love offerings.
What do you suppose happens when you die? Do you think you go off to some place as an independent entity? What happens to your ruach or spirit? That's what most people believe. But they are wrong. Solomon knew when he said:
"Remember him - before the silver cord is severed, or the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, or the wheel broken at the well, and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit (ruach) returns to Elohim who gave it" (Eccl.12:6-7, NIV).
You go back to your Owner - everyone! And then the Owner decides what you are worthy of after he has judged your life. Yes, that includes demon-possessed people. Yahweh judges both those full of the Ruach and those full of demons. They belong to Him. He takes the Ruach-filled people and places them in His presence to be nourished by His love for ever, and casts the demon-filled people out of His presence where the love they stole and refused to return - assuming they have any left - turns completely rotten and consumes them alive in the fire of hate and torment.
So we return to the picture of the branch covered in flowers that fell off and eventually whithered and died. Why did this happen? Yah'shua gives us the answer:
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful" (John 15:1-3, NIV).
If you are receiving the love and grace of Yahweh simply so that you can be a flower display that everyone can admire, then you have entirely missed the point. Yahweh brings you to flower so that you can bear fruit and be a blessing to others. You are to pass the fruit on to them so that they can be nourished and the seed so that they can plant it in their garden, produce more fruit, and bless others in their turn. This is what it is all about. Satan did the same. The Scripture says he was very beautiful, the most beautiful of all Yahweh's creation. But instead if allowing himself to become fruitful by dying to self, he consumed his own beauty upon his lusts and used it to win love for himself to hoard and refused to return it to Yahweh. And he died, that resplendant angel, the Light-bearer. Just because you are gifted and talented, or have beauty and graces, does not mean that these were given for you to consume upon your own lusts but to serve. And to serve, you must die to self. Yah'shua taught this truth when He said:
"I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves Me must follow Me; and where I am, My servant also will be. My Father will honour the one who serves Me" (John 12:23-26, NIV).
Part of the process of being fruitful means dying to self. The reason the flowers fell off this branch was because the person in question did not want to be fruitful. She wanted to parade her flowers and glory in them. She wanted to keep the flowers all for herself. And she lied and deceived and acted in order to get grafted onto that tree so that she could become magificent in her own eyes and be worshipped. She wanted to conquer the tree and own it so that she could glory in herself without giving anything back. That is why the flowers are falling off and why it must whither and die. She was there because of grace - Yahweh blesses us only so that we can be fruitful, bless others and bring glory to Him.
Don't fall for the satanic lie of self-realisation, self-promotion, self-advancement and self-glorification. It's a terrible delusion and its reward is darkeness and suffering. When I asked Yahweh what the fate of this person was, His reply was: "A good tree cannot produce rotten fruit". What are the rotten fruits of the satanic way? Well, you know them - they are based on the original lie that Satan told Eve, that she could become a goddess in her own right by eating the tree of lies and deception that lead to death and eternal alientation from Yahweh.
There was another lady like her who was grafted onto my tree. She feared to open her heart and become the person Yahweh wanted her to be. We saw her in the Garden too. Her branch literally leaped off the tree because she believed, under demonic influence, she could be her own protection and did not need a covering. That branch which was her also withered and died, and was fit for burning. But do you know what? That woman repented. She chose to surrender self and did what Yah'shua told her. Today she is grafted back on the tree and growing not only flowers but also bearing luscious fruit with which to bless others seeking salvation. That woman is today married, fully submitted to me in the Kingdom Order and full of happiness. And that happiness is contagious - I am full of it also.
Brethren and sisters, please do not exploit His grace - His undeserved loving kindness - and turn it into cheap grace, nor His servants who wait patiently and in constant prayer for loved ones to repent and be saved.
Elijah was one such tree and Elisha was a worthy successor who got a double portion of his Ruach. After Ahab's death a new king ascended the throne of Israel and we shall learn how the prophet ended his days next week. Yahweh bless you. Amen..
