The Final Gathering

    Introduction

"For as the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man"
    (Mt.24:37, NRSV)

There are very few spiritually-alert and biblically studious Christians today who are not aware that we are in the end-times. The spiritual condition of our world is worsening with witchcraft, paganism, counterfeit Christianity and atheism ever on the rise. In spite of the spectacular growth of Christianity in some places such as China, not only are true Christians being increasingly persecuted and martyred but relative to the population of the world as a whole we are becoming fewer and fewer, even in former "Christian" parts of the world like Europe, America and Australasia. Most historians are now talking of these nations as being "post-Christian".

The 21st century is going see true (as opposed to unregenerated, nominal) Christians becoming a tiny minority in a world saturated with witchfcraft and occultism. Yah'shua (Jesus) tells us that the conditions that prevailed in Noah's day would be the same as those when He returned (Mt.24:37). He also said: "when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?" (Lk.18:8, NIV). In other words, the spiritual condition of man will be so bad that there will be hardly any people at all who have true faith. Considering the fact that in the Noah's world of teaming millions there were only 8 souls who had true faith, how many true Christians will there be when our Master returns? Today the population of our world is probably more numerous than in Noah's time, there being several billion souls: this being the case, when Yah'shua returns there will probably only be a few thousand true Christians alive. There will certainly not be millions of them or even hundreds of thousands. And whilst there may be many millions who call themselves "Christians" most of these will be those who "will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths" (2 Tim.4:2-3, NIV). The apostle Paul reminds us that there will be a major apostacy from the faith at this time and that unregenerated Christians will be tricked into following the Antichrist (2 Thess.2:2-4).

This is not, then, a very happy picture. Christians, who once dominated the West, will again be fugitives in pagan nations. The rise of paganism has taken place gradually over some centuries though at an astonishingly rapid pace in the second half of the 20th. Like it or not, the 21st century - or at least that part of it before Yah'shua returns - is going to increasingly belong to Satan until he is its complete master for seven ghastly years. But for those who are truly born-again, regenerated believers, what does this mean for them? What will become of the Messianic Community (Church)? How will true believers survive? And what must they do to prepare for a very different world that is even now meeting them in the 21st century? This book will answer all these questions and show you Yahweh-Elohim's plan for His end-time people.
