Section 130
Church Storehouses for the Poor
Taking care of the poor and needy both within the Church and the community in which the Church finds itself is an obligation of the Gospel, to which end the Lord has called for the establishment of storehouses under the administration of Pastorates and Bishoprics. Administration of the storehouses is primarily the responsibility of the Deaconate. Minor alterations have been made to the original to reflect changes in Church administrative structures since 1996. [Århus, Denmark].
1. It is expedient that storehouses be established in each Colony of My Church for the relief of the poor and needy1.
2. Let the storehouses contain clothes, food, and such as shall be deemed necessary or expedient for the provision of families in need.
3. Ye shall learn to operate your storehouses prophetically, saith the Lord, discerning the Spirit, that ye may be prepared for all things.
4. Do this in wisdom, remembering your callings and stewardships.
Administration by the Deaconate
5. Storehouses shall be administered by the Deacons' and Deaconess' Councils under the presidency of the local Pastorate or central Bishopric {Metropolitan Pastorate}.
6. All those who are honest who desire to labour with their hands and give their time for the support of the storehouses shall be received with gladness2;
7. Not only will ye become a blessing unto the needy, saith the Lord, but ye will gain experience in preparing to gather to firstborn colonies. Even so. Amen.
