    Introduction

The picture of the ocean above reminds us of the vastness, beauty and imponderableness of life. If you have ever been on an ocean voyage you'll know what I mean. A person who has not met, or does not know God, views life much as someone in the middle of an ocean without a compass or sextant in the middle of a storm with no sun visible - all around, wherever you look, there are no landmarks to indicate the direction one should go.

The ocean in the picture above is very beuatiful when the sun is shining. It's a lot better than stormy weather. But without some means of navigation, even this isn't very helpful. It's the same on land. The picture below shows the Russian steppes - vast areas of flat grassland with no landmarks anywhere. Like the ocean, with no instruments of navigation, and especially when it is overcast and no sun is visible, it is impossible to find your way.

Our spiritual journey in life is no difference. We needs landmarks of truth to make sense of life and to know what to positively do with life. Without them we will just drift aimlessly. A blue ocean or a green grassy steppe may be beautiful but after a while they become monotenous and frustrating. Finally the restless soul gets up and starts seeking for signs. And it would be very nice, wouldn't it, if life was carefully and accurately signposted. Unfortunately, it isn't. You can come to a critical point or junction in your life where an important choice has to be made only to find many signposts, all pointing in different directions, and many - if not all - appearing to be right. What do you do? How can you make the right choice?

During the Second World War the British, anticipating a German invasion, either removed signposts or switched them round so that an invading army would get confused, slowed down and hopefully lost. During the Cold War both the Americand and Russians left important geographical features off their maps to again confuse the enemy. Sometimes travellers would come across military bases in the middle of nowhere.

Unfortunately, the invisible realm isn't only inhabited by a Divine Being (God) who loves us and wants us to find the way, but there are other (less powerful, though formidable from a human point-of-view) spiritual adversaries whose desire and purpose is to sow confusion and (if they can) destroy human beings. The following table will hopefully help you put some of this into perspective:

    The Home Side The Opposition
    The Supreme Father-God, Creator Deity

    Name & Title: Yahweh-Elohim (YHWH)

He has revealed Himself to us in the Tanakh or Old Testament of the Bible

Chief Characteristic: All Truth and All Love

The Adversary, a rebel Malak or angel

Name: Heylel (also known as Satan, Lucifer, and the Devil). He is given many names in false religions

Very powerful and dangerous but defeated by Yahweh

Chief Characteristic: Liar and full of Hate but often pretends not to be

He has inspired humans to author many false books purporting to come from 'God'

The Deliverer, Rescuer, Saviour, Messiah and Agent of Yahweh

Name & Title: Yah'shua the Messiah (also known as Yahushua or Yeshua haMashiach and Jesus Christ)

He has revealed Himself as a human being in the Gospels portion of the B'rit Chadashah Scriptures otherwise known as the New Testament

False messiahs, christs, deliverers, rescuers, saviours who are agents of the Adversary, though usually not being aware that they are

Name: They have had many throughout history but are collectively known as anti-christs or anti-messiahs

The Counsellor, Inspirer, Guide, Spirit of Truth

Name & Title: The Ruach haQodesh (also known as the Holy Spirit/Ghost, Wisdom, Hochmah or Sophia)

Revealed throughout the B'rit Chadashah Scriptures or New Testament, but mainly from Acts-Revelation

Shaddim, Shads or Demons - fallen malakim or angels who rebelled against Yahweh and follow Heylel/Satan who like to pretend to be the 'Spirit of God'. Most Christians are deceived by these counterfeits.

Name & Title: They have tens of thousands of these, all the names and titles of false deities in false religions.

Characteristic: They encourage humans to be lawless and to create their own private illusions or 'truths', though may cause them to systematise this into complex religious and atheistic systems

    Malakim or Angels

Supernatural helpers sent by Yahweh to assist human beings and to wage war on the opposition

Fallen Malakim or Angels, Demons or Shaddim

They carry out Heylel's/Satan's instructions, sowing as much confusion, fear and mistrust amongst people as they can because they know that their time is short.

The Set-Apart Ones or True Disciples of Yahweh and Yah'shua

Humans on earth who have been regenerated by the Ruach and are used by Yahweh on the earth to carry out His purposes and to seek and instruct those seeking to know and follow Yahweh.

Chief Characteristic: They have great inner peace, love and strength, and meet the challenges of life with conviction of the final outcome

Deceived human beings (the unsaved) who for the most part are not aware they are deceived, or who are aware in part but are so confused that they cannot find their way out of the darkness they find themselves in. These can, and do, include those calling themselves 'Christians' and 'Messianics'. They invariably promote the realm of darkness by living lawless lives without accountability. Some are seeking the truth but most are not.

You'll notice on this website that we use the Hebraic names of God. The reason we do this is so that is to avoid using names and terms that can refer to both true and false deities. In that way we wish to minimise the confusion that is already rife in religion. However, we do also include the more familiar terms in brackets, e.g. Elohim (God), Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) and the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit).

Similarly, we are cautious in our use of labels that are commonly used by those who say they follow the Truth since not all Christians are 'Christians' and not all Messianics are 'Messianic'. Just because someone uses a label doesn't mean that's what they are. It's all part of the confusion that the Adversary has created down here.

How then can we know what's what and who's who? We hope the articles on this webpage will help sort that out for you. To know our basic doctrinal position, you can read our Statement of Faith. We don't belong to a denomination per se but like to call ourselves "Evangelical Messianics" - Hebraic-roots evangelical Christians who obey all the commandments of Yahweh and shun false tradition.

    Yahweh warns:

"Do not remove the ancient landmark" (Proverbs 23:10, NKJV).

If you remove or change a landmark, those seeking the Way will get lost. This is true not just in the physical world but in thye spiritual world too. Where these have been removed by Christendom, our aim is to restore them so that seekers after all truth will have the whole counsel and revelation of Yahweh. There won't be any blank spots on the map of life!

It is our testimony that the true Christian/Messianic life is not one of restriction but is abundant, rich, free, and sublime. Yet,as one writer puts it, many professed Christians languish like fish out of water. They realise that they have no power and no annointing but they don't know what to do about it. An enemy has obscured the old landmarks that show us our vast spiritual inheritance and how to enjoy it. Knowing the Messiah (Christ) is more than being able to recite your church's or assembly's "statement of faith". The kingdom of Elohim (God) is not in word, but in POWER (1 Corinthians 4:20, 1 Thessalonians 1:5) This is not just apostolic talk -- the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) will empower YOU if you'll study and obey the Word -- all of it. There is POWER in a righteous, self-denying life that seeks only to glorify Yahweh and His Son Yah'shua (Jesus).

Whatever your background - Christian, Messianic, non-religious or another religious tradition, we hope that you will find nuggets of truth here that will bring you more of the peace, love, happiness and contentment which everyone living on this planet so much wants. To get the ball rolling we recommend you begin reading, The Seven Openings and then work your way through the rest of the articles here.

May Yahweh our Heavenly Father and Elohim (God) bless you in your search for ALL TRUTH!
