A Jewish rabbi once said: "Marriage [on earth] is not a union, or a relationship, but a REUNION - a coming back together." Adam and Eve were not told to 'get married' after they were created because they were created married. Marriage is also about 'covering.' The husband is covered by God and the wife is covered under her husband. Adam and Eve didn't need to get married, because they lived WITH God in the garden and He was their covering.
In Jeremiah 1:5 God says, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I sanctified you; and I ordained you a prophet to the nations." This is one of those verses that a lot of people hate because it clearly brings to our attention the sovereignty and control of God. Not only the above but, most Christians and Messianics would balk at people being with God before birth. Where were they?
In Genesis 2:24 it says, "… A man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh." Marriage and the unity candle are a beautiful symbol of two separate lives coming together as one, but only when we understand what 'one' does and does not mean.
In relation to what the Jewish rabbi said they are 're-joined' in marriage. This is a spiritual principle that again, most Christians and Messianics balk at. Unions in marriage of firstborns are predetermined by God. And this is why there will be no marriage during the millennial reign, because all the firstborns are already married and there is no need for more marriages. Some people have been predetermined by God to be single. Paul teaches on these things and most people don't understand what he's talking about on the spiritual level only the physical level. There are almost always 3 levels to every line of Scripture: 1. Spiritual 2. Physical 3. Practical.
These are VERY deep teachings within Scriptures. It takes God to open our eyes and unstop our ears when He deems it time for us to know as He will have prepared our hearts to hear/see these truths.
At the end of this age (æon), we are going back to Eden. Back to the way God ordained the life of His people, hence He knows the end from the beginning scripture.
