I apologise for not having added any new materials for over a fortnight but I have been off sick. However, here is an update.
Falling Oil Prices Threatens Economy
The oil price has sunk once again threatening Norway's propserous economy. The country is losing Kr. 1000 per second in oil revenues which, if it continues at the rpesrnt rate, will result in the country losing 3 billion kroner (Kr. 3,000,000,000) by the end of 1999, a contingency that the Norwegian government has not been prepared for.
There was an drop in oil prices earlier but the former level seemed to return, restoring confidence in Oslo. Not for long. Yet, in spite of the latest fall, Norway continues merrily along her way seemingly oblivious to the catastrophe that is going to humble her.
This site has stated prophetically that Norway is going to be hit by two successing economic disasters. We initially thought it was all going to suddenly happen in November 1998 but subsequent visions disclosed that it would BEGIN in that month.
The Apostacy in the Lutheran Church Deepens
Because the Lutheran Church is officially linked to the state the two are intimately connected on the spiritual front too.
In the Norwegian tabloid newspaper, VG (Sunday 7 February 1999), a double page article on the State Church (pp.26-27) reveals that Church's twin apostacy of (a) continuing to adopt society's ethical norms (e.g. homosexuality, abortion, feminism, etc.), and (seemingly contradictory) (b) moving towards Catholicism.
The article, entitled "Forgive Me" reports on Bishop Gunnar Stålsett's plans to introduce the ROMAN CATHOLIC CONFESSIONAL to the Lutheran Church which involves the parishoner confessing his sins in a sealed booth to a priest who pronounces ABSOLUTION OF SIN, a doctrine that was correctly repudiated by the reformers as unbiblical and heretical.
The article includes the testimony of the benefits of the confessional of Roman Catholic Professor of Social Anthropology, Jan Brøgger.
I forsee the Lutheran Church diverging in three directions - (a) a Conservative one which will split off from the main body leaving; (b) a very liberal, promiscuous and apostate body essentially mirroring contempory culture which will become progressively more and more New Age in doctrine; and (c) a neo-Catholic body devolving in leaps and bounds to its Catholic beginnings. The latter two factions will, inspite of being outwardly antagonistic and mutually exclusive, in fact cooperate quite freely in most areas in line with the One World Religion of which it will be an indistinguishable part.
